I genuinely felt that the Stan Lee cameos were going to lead up to revealing him as The One Above All when he converses with Peter, using this comic meeting as the source material. It would give meaning to how he was in so many places and living different lives. He was just always there, always watching, while also experiencing what it is to be human. I don't know. I think what TOAA meant here is that he just laid the foundation for existence, it's entities and it's cosmic structures and yet he doesn't control them, he can control them yet he chooses not to because, like the Watcher, these stories are everything to him, and unless something threatens to destroy and undo those stories, he will not intervene, it's crazy how similar he is to the Watcher
I feel like that’s a great way for writers to describe the OAA. This all powerful being that could annihilate or create all things but only intervenes when things are irreparably out of wack or for character moments like this story. Otherwise don’t use him too much
That's true. This is also a reference however, to the Bible where this guy named Job has bad things happen to him for no reason and later encounters God to ask the same type of question that Peter Parker asks to TOAA.

Basically God walks up to Peter and reminds him that he's a hero despite his hardships, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and that he never planned anything out, things just happen on their own, he's given humanity the freedom to endure and deal with these things in their own way, and that Peter is one of the examples of where humanity endures and becomes better for it

Spider-Man always takes the high road even when he doesn’t have to. He holds a burden bigger than himself. He’s a inspiration and fantastic character. He’s the guy that always looks out for the small guy.
Honestly I would’ve love to see Stan lee as the one above all, I always thought about him walking up to Peter at the end credits of a Spiderman movie at a park bench and talking to him and at the end revealing that he knew who he was and has been watching the Characters in the mcu and walks away glowing like in the comic and just leaves Pete shocked and honored
Somehow in all comics everywhere, Marvel finds writers for Spider-Man that make Peter the most human hero. That make you care about him as a person, and respect him.
This is for sure one of the most powerful comics in Spider-Man and a personal favorite of mine for multiple reasons, but I think that why a lot of people love Spider-Man is because he seems so much more human than other heroes.
You start out life getting dealt a bad hand. People messing with you from day one, all your loved ones dying on you, and you finally get a way to fight back. On top of the smarts you’ve finely honed, you’re granted power, real power. Do what you want, when you want, with whoever you want to do it with. Few could stop you, dislocate someone’s jaw with your pinky if you were careless.. Yet somehow you find the strength to hold your punches against those who’d take what you got left away from you, too… …Kid’s a hero, plain & simple.
In the beginning you were talking about why almost everyone loves Spider-Man so much and how he is their favorite superhero. For me, it’s really the concept of power, that can corrupt, is given to a person whose morals are good and incorruptible. Time and time again, we were shown this side of Peter, the Peter that wants to help people and feels it when he can’t save some. He is what most people strive to be and what we think we would be like when given his powers.
I remember in Kindergarten, a friend of mine had a spider-man toy one day. Seeing a hero with a full body costume and mask was completely new for me. I liked Superman, but the design of spider-man was so different, that it sparked my interest and I urged my mom to buy a comic and read it to me. And I am a fan ever since for 35 years now.
i love this video/comic, it really is a good way to think of life itself generally, even if we are constantly hating our lives, asking ourselves “why me? all the good things i’ve done and do i’m still given the worst possibility” but it helps show that even if we don’t see it everyday, if we lose what we love the most, or we never “win” the impact of everyone around else is substantial. you don’t need to be good. you just need to do good. life will work itself, we all our own superheroes life will workout, in the end we will have some sick ass stories
Things like this is what makes Spider-Man epic. The God of all can go meet anyone of the most powerful beings to ever live, but he decides to talk to Spider-Man on a small planet called earth in an endless universe.
I was never really a huge Spiderman fan, until now. Awesome video, Rob. It is truly inspiring, I really love what you're doing and keep it up brotha!!!
After all these years of hearing that classic line, "With great power, comes great responsibility", I always interpreted as meaning you must be responsible with your power and use it carefully so as to not use it for the wrong reasons. I never realized until I watched this video that it also means if you have the ability to do the right thing with your abilities, that it is your inherent responsibility to do so. Thank you for the realization :)
Spider-Man is actually quite Dark. On the surface it seems to be very cartoonish but once you dive in, it’s very brutal and realistic from a violence and tragic standpoint. They do a great job in funneling human emotions and the duality of the human condition. Writing is superb!
Makes you wonder, everything that’s deemed ‘Kid friendly’ or ‘Innocent’ all have disturbing, dark, or messed up backstories. Teenage mutant ninja turtles for example is a kid friendly cartoon. But before that, the TMNT were assassins that kill. The comics back then before they were rebranded, were bloody and gore. Peter Pan has so many dark backstories to disturbing theories. Some even believe that Pan was inspired by a Fallen Angel.
Yooooo You earned a sub. You brought out exactly why us old comic heads fell in love with them In The first place. All the emotions in the world wrapped up in a tiny little book. Magic
Spider man's morality is why I like him. His origin story could easily have been twisted into a villain origin. But it didn't. All of his struggles only affirm his morality in the future; it's what everyone should strive for. Edit: I made this comment before I knew it was the point of the video haha.
Fun fact, the Liz Allen relegation ship was explored quite well in the spectacular Spider-Man cartoon. It was developed quite well. She was in flash’s crowd, got paired up with Peter because she needed a tutor for her science class, developed feelings for him, went on to defend him from flash and date Peter for several episodes. But then Peter and Gwen started developing feelings for each other and Peter ultimately broke it off with Liz. It was a cool arc and I loved it. So yeah, Liz Allen is one of the unsung love interests of Peter Parker.
I know that fans were pushing for Stan Lee to be the Watcher, but the Watcher is always unseen. I think it would be more fitting if Stan Lee was The One Above All! He literally created the Universe, then walked among us! I feel that title and respect given to Stan Lee is more than deserved!
I have a soft spot for Spider-Man comics because of my childhood. The covers and panels really caught my interest as a youngster. Loved everything about the hero. It’s freakin Spider-Man.
That was amazing I cried when I read the part when Peter says if this is a test just let me fail because that's exactly what I'd say if I met God cause rn it feels like the world is fully against me and I'm tired of fighting back I just wanna be happy
Sounds like you have the makings of great comeback story on your hands. I hope things start turning for the better, and that you find a fulfilling peace.
Loved the comic "Sensational Spider-Man Vol 2 issue #40" for humanizing The One Above All and making him appear more relatable to the readers instead of just having this cosmic entity who dictates the rules of the universe and only comes into the picture when there is a massive threat namely a multiversal one thus helping the heroes out indirectly. The One Above All is an interesting character to say the least given how rarely he appears in Marvel but his appearance to Spiderman was probably the best glimpse we got into him but maybe his meeting with Spiderman might have been even better if he shape shifted into Uncle Ben while AC/DC's "Back in Black" track was played in the background.
Very good story line, I enjoyed it... Peter Parker is just like Good times neither one could ever catch a break... Sometimes you just want to see good things happen to good people... Through all his troubles and problems Peter always finds a way to win and that's why he's always my #1 superhero bar none...
Hey Rob. You actually did do this same topic on the one above all meeting spiderman. It's called infinity war: the one above all explained. Has your old intro music in it as well. Still just as good as this video. Keep up the good work.
I cried.... I am no super hero. I am very poor. I have had a hard life from a very early age. But no matter what I will keep moving forward and keep living. I will keep being kind to people... Have faith... It's extremely hard sometimes... Just don't give up...
I find your depth and passion for all things to be insightful. The tireless and humble strive to create this amazing channel has been nothing short of being the best, period. Platinum work Rob.🍻 R.J. = Omega Level (2021)
Never been a Spiderman Fan…but…I have begun to come around lately in life as I have gotten older (51). When I think about this interaction with TOAA, I feel that entity sees in Peter what it sees in itself early in its life. Being TOAA is lonely and confusing at times. One would feel all powerful, but if you are the only one of your kind One would feel loneliness. For Peter this is hard to accept, because he is young and wants what all young creatures want…everything.
Like Peter, you missed that Peter DID get his answers. But was NOT ready to ask the proper questions, so he COULD accept and understand the answers. The people on the beach WAS the answer.
Peters personal life is believable and so relatable. I think Spiderman stories are compelling because having super powers doesn’t fix Peters personal problems; if anything they make it harder to succeed unless he reveals his identity, but then all of the relationships he values most are jeopardized.
Not god fearing or a believer in the divine at all, but this story made me cry repeatedly. Granted the opportunity to talk with the supposed creator of existence, I'd be nowhere near as understanding as Peter and have some rather angry words for the one above all. Would potentially try to sock them in the mouth, even.
Spiderman is one of my favorites for this reason. a person can relate to him. That comic helped me make sense of some dark times. He even uses. Sarcasm like I do.
Validation from *The one Above All* for your achievements, saving so many is somewhat *Beyond Omega Level!!* A personal visit telling Peter Parker that he is special, and he matters in the grand scheme of things is a HUGE deal!!
I am a person who has come from nothing, and i still have most of it left. No matter how hard i try, how much i hurt myself to get the job done, i cannot make any headway in life. I've been contemplating ending it and giving up on my crap pile of a life, and each and every day shows me that i should. I've tried asking for help, just one person to help me get a breath in life, and no one cares. when i die, no one will notice, no one will care. my body will rot away, unnoticed, unwanted, unburied, unloved... my life sucks and i really need someone to prove to me that there is good out there, there is someone willing to help....
I dont know if its the Mandela effect or what but i specifically remember you covering this story. Same thumbnail and all, I dont read comics myself and this is the only place i learn about them so i know this is where i heard it. It was about 3 or 4 years ago.
Id disagree with the writers take on Jehovah. I get he made the statement to highlight Peter as a hero: but most folks go through things and do come out changed: but not horrible ppl (unless its a comic...which is clearly not reality). The claim "most folks end up terrible" is the root of the untrust that stops us from connecting to bear one anothers burdens so we can come out the otherside stronger. Grief, mental illness, physical issues, etc. We all go through stuff but aren't meant to alone.
You me both my friend. But that’s secularism for you. They don’t like saying that there is a plan for life not for ill but for good. That you have free will to choose good over evil. That God is constantly working. We put trust in God and we will come through our trials better people, you don’t and you will probably end up worse than you started. This was a beautiful comic but they get key points of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit wrong. But at the very least they admit the universe/ multiverse was crated by an omnipotent omniscient and all loving God and that’s a start
This is an amazing story Rob 🤟 Thank you for sharing this story with us. I've recently lost a loved one and this video helped me as well as gave me a better perspective/outlook on life.

It would make that much sense for him too😊I’d love to see it
Whoever redrew the original Spider-Man cover, drew my favorite version so far. 4:38
Wow rob. Wow. Sometimes the way you shed a light on the world, it brings me to tears
God : Come on Peter... You know who I am
Peter: Keanu Reeves?
In the beginning you were talking about why almost everyone loves Spider-Man so much and how he is their favorite superhero. For me, it’s really the concept of power, that can corrupt, is given to a person whose morals are good and incorruptible. Time and time again, we were shown this side of Peter, the Peter that wants to help people and feels it when he can’t save some. He is what most people strive to be and what we think we would be like when given his powers.
I really love this story because it gives a sense of appreciation for living.
🙏
It's videos like this that have kept me coming back to this channel everyday for the last 6 years, always enjoy what you do rob🤙
Wow Rob. This is awesome. This has to be at least top 10 one of my favorite videos of yours. Thanks
This is one of the best story I've ever seen.
One of my favorite spider-Man stories
👏👏👏👏👏
I’d like to see more comics like this. Always did enjoy seeing characters hot their low/lowest point then picking themselves back up
I was never really a huge Spiderman fan, until now.
Rob your the man, this is hands down one of the best channels on TH-cam. Keep it up brother
Just love the everything about Peter Parker his story and hardships and then finally meet the one above all that's top tier 🙌
Bruh your laugh kills me ..I appreciate your positive vibes 👌🏼
Yooooo
You earned a sub.
What a great story and the way you explain it is so on point is just great bro . Keep up everything you do
Fun fact, the Liz Allen relegation ship was explored quite well in the spectacular Spider-Man cartoon.
I read this comic four years ago, and the one above all is a truly fascinating character.
Are you okay?
🙏
I actually learned a lot from this. Great video, it gave me something to thing about
I love these kinds of videos I don't read many comics these days but this one is still one of my favorites from back when I had time to read.
Very good story line, I enjoyed it... Peter Parker is just like Good times neither one could ever catch a break... Sometimes you just want to see good things happen to good people... Through all his troubles and problems Peter always finds a way to win and that's why he's always my #1 superhero bar none...
TOAA saying life isnt a test or anything, but instead saying *"It just is"* is for some reason really comforting and idk why.
I’d be interested in a show depicting all the times the one above all has shown up in Marvel comics
I love how the One Above All hints at life forever more. When he says Have Faith, Peter.
The "God is a kid with an ant farm" line is from Constatine with Keanu Reeves not Pitch Black. It's one of my favorite movies lol
Hey Rob. You actually did do this same topic on the one above all meeting spiderman. It's called infinity war: the one above all explained. Has your old intro music in it as well. Still just as good as this video. Keep up the good work.
Rob just makes your day better!!
With a girlfriend like u have all ur days are great
Dean : Just another Dead Beat Dad.
😂
I cried....
I am no super hero. I am very poor. I have had a hard life from a very early age.
But no matter what I will keep moving forward and keep living. I will keep being kind to people...
Have faith... It's extremely hard sometimes...
Just don't give up...
Mephisto: I'm about to end this man's career.
I find your depth and passion for all things to be insightful. The tireless and humble strive to create this amazing channel has been nothing short of being the best, period. Platinum work Rob.🍻
R.J. = Omega Level (2021)
Listening to these is therapeutic at this point
Never been a Spiderman Fan…but…I have begun to come around lately in life as I have gotten older (51). When I think about this interaction with TOAA, I feel that entity sees in Peter what it sees in itself early in its life. Being TOAA is lonely and confusing at times. One would feel all powerful, but if you are the only one of your kind One would feel loneliness. For Peter this is hard to accept, because he is young and wants what all young creatures want…everything.
Thanks for this video Rob. It was a good one.
I love how philosophical comic books can be.

I will pray for you. Jesus has saved me. Jesus loves you.
Yes finally you do this I was waiting for this episode for sooooo long I got bits and pieces of what happened but now I finally know thank you
I really liked this story. This was a really underrated run.
Spiderman is one of my favorites for this reason. a person can relate to him. That comic helped me make sense of some dark times. He even uses. Sarcasm like I do.
Validation from *The one Above All* for your achievements, saving so many is somewhat *Beyond Omega Level!!*
A personal visit telling Peter Parker that he is special, and he matters in the grand scheme of things is a HUGE deal!!
Can you cover the entire annihilation story arc
I second this
I dont know if its the Mandela effect or what but i specifically remember you covering this story.
Thank you Rob.....I like watching your videos since 2014
[Got me all teary-eyed.
Worth the effort and viewing.
Thank you.✌🏼🍺]
It's because he is the everyday hero he's what most everybody aspires to be
I seen this story on ur channel already and I got to say,ITS EVEN BETTER THE 2ND TIME 👍👍👍👍👍
Great video and some great messages in the comic that more people should hear
This is an amazing story Rob 🤟 Thank you for sharing this story with us. I've recently lost a loved one and this video helped me as well as gave me a better perspective/outlook on life.
If this moment ever get adapted into the MCU, it better be Stan Lee as the One Above All.
