This demonstrate how efficient is the 765lt, it equal a 1000hp hybrid supercar, just because of it's power to weight optimization. I would be curious to see what would be the result if the mclaren had an additionnal 200hp hybridation. the extra weight would maybe neutralize the extra horsepower.
@Rob K. not taking away anything in terms of how impressive the performance of the car is overall, especially in terms of the launch, considering it's RWD, it is really impressive. It's more to do with the ongoing discussion about how great the McLaren's do with 'less' HP compared to other supercars; Reality is that McLaren have always massively understated the HP and sometimes overstated the weight in order to look more impressive in real world comparisons to their competitors; Look, if in real life your engine produces 10-20hp more than stated, fair enough, but when the figure is more like 100-130hp more, you have to agree it's a bit of a BS done on purpose to make it look more impressive.
Even though i do think the SF is the faster car in total im so impressed that the 765lt is so close, and at this moment in time its still got the better 1/4 mile time, granted it was in ideal conditions but a 9.3 for a production car is still crazy, after seeing the 765 get destroyed by the SF on the st i thought it was over for the 765 on the strip but its fought back well and deserves to be up there along with the SF, id also like to give both Brookes and Jimmy a huge thumbs up for there consistant driving at the tree, Jimmy is just as good as Brookes now on the strip, whenever they race its always going to be a fair racing.
@@SH7SH7SH7 100% will not do that. You are trying to compare these conditions to much better conditions. Right here same conditions the SF is quicker. The sf would of beat the 765 when it ran faster that other time. Don’t matter. You don’t compare 2 runs on different days.

Wouldn’t make a difference, it already has an AWD and it doesn’t have traction issues unlike the mclaren which needs them due to its RWD. Mclaren is a beast with less hp in my books.
I watched the video until the end. The Ferrari is actually the faster car. I’m surprised with the heavier weight of the Ferrari it is able to pull away on the big end since the electric motors have to cut out at the end of the run. So as far as combustion engine cars go the Ferrari is the King of these cars even though it’s kind of like a hybrid. It is Amazing how close they are. That track must be loaded with VHT because the AWD in the Ferrari should launch ahead off the jump in any normal street like conditions. I wonder if the Toyo’s would make any difference on the Ferrari. Also I would take the Ferrari over the McLaren not just because it is a tad quicker especially in the real world and in my opinion looks a little better although the McLaren is clearly awesome as well, but because quite honestly. It is a Ferrari. It will hold its value better than anything and will always be desirable in a way that no other car is. You can’t really compete with the Italian styling and finish in theses cars. Even the fob key pads are awesome.

Ye its heavier but also 200 more hp aswell.
Styling is indeed subjective. Personally, I think Ferrari have lost their way; in my eyes, the SF90 is one of the worst examples with it's upside down spoiler glued between the headlights (I know they want us all to think of it as a McLaren "s-duct") and the imitation-Camaro rear are just terrible (almost as bad as the Lotus Elise inspired rear on the F8). On the other hand, nice to see some functional carbon in a Ferrari at last.
@@matmul4850 Well I know electric motors have depreciating benefits as speeds climb. Not sure of how Ferrari tech is. But Porsche 918's stop at 150mph. If that's also the case with the newer Ferrari, I'd put money on 720. But that's why I want to see it so bad! Lol.

Impressive the sf90, but I'll take the 765LT!
Love both, can’t go wrong with either, SF90 for me it’s sexier in my opinion
Sexier is crazy cause the McLaren has doors that go up and a moving spoiler
I always watch to the end. Best racing channel out there! Thank you for everything you do!!
I'm still here... McLaren 765lt has 765 HP and has beat the 1000 HP...
Do we know which one wins round a track? 3 laps and who's quickest. I'd like to see that.
mclaren 100% wins on a track
@@idealized_ wishful thinking
I actually think the 765lt wins, weight is important, I'd love to see 3 fast laps and what the total time is and the fastest lap time too.
@@justjuice1264 🤣🤣🤣
@@idealized_ McLaren would win. Easily! Weight advantage and weight distribution wins everytime over awd.
You do realise that McLaren is seriously underestimating their horsepower?
No, it's demonstrate that McLaren cheaters))) 720 in real has about 800 on wheels. 765lt definitely has about 900 on flywheel.
@Rob K. not taking away anything in terms of how impressive the performance of the car is overall, especially in terms of the launch, considering it's RWD, it is really impressive.
It's more to do with the ongoing discussion about how great the McLaren's do with 'less' HP compared to other supercars;
Reality is that McLaren have always massively understated the HP and sometimes overstated the weight in order to look more impressive in real world comparisons to their competitors; Look, if in real life your engine produces 10-20hp more than stated, fair enough, but when the figure is more like 100-130hp more, you have to agree it's a bit of a BS done on purpose to make it look more impressive.
How can a rear-wheel drive hold up to a 4-wheeler, and especially an SF90 ? It's pretty incredible the start of this 765...
It is a prepped launch surface, that’s is why.
Tires and surface
Fastest cars in the world are RWD
Because Mclaren are one of the best out their. Their engineers are freakin wizards.
Side by side races will always be the best! Awesome races. Great racing man.
Still here but man Mclaren such a beast.
Even though i do think the SF is the faster car in total im so impressed that the 765lt is so close, and at this moment in time its still got the better 1/4 mile time, granted it was in ideal conditions but a 9.3 for a production car is still crazy, after seeing the 765 get destroyed by the SF on the st i thought it was over for the 765 on the strip but its fought back well and deserves to be up there along with the SF, id also like to give both Brookes and Jimmy a huge thumbs up for there consistant driving at the tree, Jimmy is just as good as Brookes now on the strip, whenever they race its always going to be a fair racing.
huh? The SF got the better 1/4 mile time.
@@Executiveinvestments- 765 got a better time in an earlier video search it
@@SH7SH7SH7 100% will not do that. You are trying to compare these conditions to much better conditions. Right here same conditions the SF is quicker. The sf would of beat the 765 when it ran faster that other time. Don’t matter. You don’t compare 2 runs on different days.
@@delusion2987 the sf 0-60 in 2.0 sec. The 765 would never come close to that time.
That was very exciting, I would choose a stradale!
I never lost faith in the 765lt even though I seen it lose different times in different situations. I love that car dearly bro lol that’s crazy!!!
Ferrari would have won if it had the same tires as the 765
Actually the Ferrari won all three actual races (e.g., ET and trap speed) the McLaren won two of the DRAG races because its DRIVER did a hole shot. The Ferrari was fastest, the McLaren's driver won two of the races for the car.
better tyres on 765lt....
@@irtiza4262 on OEM street tires too
@@iwshfg6 It's actually proven by brooks that it runs slower on the tires that the 765LT was on, he's done it on this channel.
This is actually the most insanely close race I’ve ever seen from 2 stock super cars. I’m taking the mclaren for looks but that sf90 really is something special.
Thanks for making us wait so long for this race, well worth it.
That was an amazing race, given how light the. Mclaren is and no hybrid aid? Damn, Mclaren is an amazing machine..
McLaren are very fortunate to be based near motorsport ally. 85% of the worlds motorsport engineering happens on their doorstep in England so their talent pool is very wide and deep and then combine that with their motorsport ethos and you get calls like the 720, 765LT and Senna.
I'm always with you to the end. Love your videos thanks for the work.
Race 1 and 3 are the best drag race I've ever seen. So close! Between these two my favourite is McLaren so I'm happy with the results.
I think the McLaren spun a bit on its 1-2 shift in race 2 and that's what killed it.
I’m still here! Love the recaps, Brooks. Hoping to head down (I’m in Vero) when you guys are running some time.
I saw a yellow and black Ferrari SF90 today in Plantation, FL and wow! That thing was amazingly beautiful in real life. There's no comparison compared to video or photos because of the 3D effect. It's lower and wider than it appears in photos or video. Just gorgeous!
And the Plaid, at 1/3 to 1/4 the price wins every time. ;)
Yeah, have fun with that refrigerator on wheels
Still watching... I thought the 765 would be faster at the top end...
Great close racing from two different approaches, great stuff... however despite loving Ferraris i'd have the more light and simple McLaren
It is ... Brooke needs to explain that because when the LT is not racing a Ferrari, it does 150+ MPH lol
@@TheForensicNetworker he said in the video that was because of better weather. It's safe to say the SF90 would also pickup in mph as well just like the LT did with better weather
Insane, that McLaren is some car.
Still here. Wow those races were super close. Love your content by the way
Still here! Great content as always! Amazing video of two monsters
I'm still here as always....great race as always. If I HAD to pick one car, it would be the sf90 but the 765lt is a fkin beast! I would prefer to take that car on the track over the sf90 but the sf is the better car overall to me.
I dunno Mclaren engineering is just insane. Down about 250hp with RWD and still neck and neck with an AWD 1000hp monster of a Ferrari.
Edit: Guys guys Ik they understate their performance numbers and that it’s much lighter than the SF90 etc. Wasnt throwing shade at the prancing horse, but their engineering is still dope lol.
I'm mclaren fan too, but come on it isn't 760hp😂
That Mclaren makes 850+hp per dyno runs, Mclaren always underate their cars power
Not to mention the Toyo tyres + sticky tarmac basically turns RWD in 4WD as you can see
@@princesekyere9679 "underate" is more cheating to appear better....

@dragtimes I'm Always here til the End Brooks 👍💯 Great races 🏁
Wow, the 765lt McLaren Always impresses Me. Having less power etc but still it hung with and beat the more expensive, hybrid, 1000hp Ferrari WOW 👏 😳
Still watching, Mclaren any day. Keep up the great work!! Love the channel
Still watching! Those races were so close! Amazing!
I'm impressed with McLaren 765LT
I was a huge 765LT fan but in all honesty I love the new look of those Ferraris and honestly I would take the sf90.
The Ferrari is a beast... but the 765LT is my preferred car of choice. Good job on the racing. Great result!
I’m still here.
Amazing race, watched till the end!
McLaren is very inconsistent. Different day, weather etc. And it performs completely different. So Ferrari wins most races, but when you hit that golden run in 765LT when it traps 150MPH+, Ferrari will not match it.
I find it odd how it’s gone from a 151-153 trap car to a 145 consistently?
Does it need a service? Something doesn’t seem right! Unfortunately I cannot trust anything I see on the net these days!
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines See different videos on this channel
@@VVojtas10 I have watched them all :) you do not lose 7-8 trap speed though without the car being down on power. It does not happen! You can lose 0.5 sec through a bad run sure but not trap speed like that.
@@irtiza4262 When the Ferrari runs in the same conditions that the 765 went 9.3 in, I bet the SF90 will also hit 9.3 at over 150.
NO car run consistent in different weather. Dont tell me ferrari runs the same it different weather because it does not.
Excellent race i was waiting for this one, for me the Ferrari won the last one too and i have a question why you didn't put the same toyo tires to the Ferrari or those tires doesn't make any difference on the Ferrari, however was excellent race i really enjoyed
Because at that point a A AWD on a drag strip with amazing tires does not do too much
@@mohammadqaddura2094 Which is exactly why the SF90 needed them. 888s don't need to do too much to get a result in such a tight contest. SF90 was standard whereas the 765 was modified.

Wow that was amazing. I remember a little while ago I was ridiculed for saying SF90 wins on the strip, this was an awesome race,. SF90 all day for me, it's just the most perfect supercar aside from the 918.
Too bad the 765 is a better looking car and faster with 200 less horses!
@@derekleesmith76 Sorry you're blind, SF90 was faster in each race. Not even gonna argue

I think it's fair to say they are both very quick cars and both as fast as each other in the real world. I'd take the McLaren. It's that shark nose that does it for me.. just so much more character than the generic sports car look of the Ferrari.
Now put RRR on SF90 and let's see how interesting will get
Wouldn’t make a difference, it already has an AWD and it doesn’t have traction issues unlike the mclaren which needs them due to its RWD.
Mclaren is a beast with less hp in my books.
That 765 Lt has something else besides tires.... Daniel Abt clocked the 765 in mid 10's.....
Where are you going to get the Ford GT V8
I love how u send hate towards the Mclaren in such a sly way. Dude, this Mclaren looks 10 times sexier than the SF90. Ye i'd rather choose the SF90 too but only for its value so I can sell it and get the 765lt. LMAO. And I do love ferrari's just not the SF90 despite it being really fast.

Ps....can we see this exact race go to the 1 mile please! I'd love to see how the hairs continue to split all the way to big boy speeds 🤤
I’d say Ferrari because the Mac has shorter gearing. Just my opinion btw
@@matmul4850 765 has better aero though
@@matmul4850 Well I know electric motors have depreciating benefits as speeds climb. Not sure of how Ferrari tech is. But Porsche 918's stop at 150mph. If that's also the case with the newer Ferrari, I'd put money on 720. But that's why I want to see it so bad! Lol.
@@MaxwellReviresco Ferrari electric motor will continue to push up to top speed till the battery is charge. They are meant to performance.
@@enrico93 as I understand it, that's not true. SF90 electric motors disengage at the front around 130mph. The quarter mile is perfect for them; 1/2 mile less so. One mile even worse.
Not at all bad for a non hybrid car. 765lt is superior 👍
sf90 1675kg, 765lt 1229kg. So u got more power on ferrari but also more weight, none of those cars are superior imo (on a dragstrip)
@@JON2QT but hybrid/ electric cars have a fast and very quick power delivery than petrol cars this 765lt is not even a supercharged v8 for a faster power delivery and the price tho sf90 is way more expensive than 765lt . And even in roll race 765lt has some chances for the victory and its not expensive as sf90 so 765lt is a great car than sf90
Give me the consistency and panache of the Ferrari EVERY time!! …super cool video!
765lt has 769 whp which is equal to 905 Horsepower.......... It's equal race
Incredible race between the 2 cars! You have to admit, on paper the 765LT is at a disadvantage however the car doesn't disappoint when driven correctly with the right conditions. Can't go wrong with either car. My vote goes to 765LT because the 720S is what kick started your channel, 🍻.
It's weird to see the Mclaren go from a 152 mph car to 144 - 145 mph ! I think something is wrong there ! It's trapping the same as a 720s. So weird. We saw the races with Hennessey, everytime the 765LT was catching on the SF90 ! It never did here...
He shifted late like he shifted too late after he red lined on sf 90.
Exactly somethings not making sense
@Rob K. it was still putting down pretty poor ET tho without the drag radials it was running 9.3-9.4 @150-152 now it was running 9.5-9.6 @144-145 😬 seems like it does better with normal sport tires that are warmed up lol
I am still here and I would take the SF90 all day everyday over 765LT

Dude the car that wins is the one with lower ELT, not the one with higher. Its impossible to win a race against the ferrari. Change the driver.
Unbelievably great!
I'd take the McLaren because I want pure gasoline with no electricity
I’m sure the Ferraris weight would become evident as soon as you start turning and braking, I imagine the McLaren would have a much purer feel.
fanboy doesnt understand McLaren weight 1333 kg and sf90 1675, on track McLaren 765 is a beast , and sf90 need recharge, when battery is died you run with "only" 780cv with the weight of discharged battery! McLaren made the definitive supercar (765) it never stops to impress me, don't get me wrong I like sf90, is a fucking Monster, It looks great and it certainly has more comfort and is more premium than the 765 but it is definitely less track built
