0:54 "No domain or RCT" This is contentious since ppl argue Kashimo healed the cut on his hand in MBA vs. Sukuna; I'm not entirely convinced on this but do keep in mind that he might have some RCT-like healing ability. 1:20 "Passive electrical cursed energy trait that will literally never be useful against any strong opponent." While it is true that high output can ignore his CE trait, the only case we have is JP Hakari, who has infinite CE, so it's unknown how many other sorcerers can match his output. Disclaimer: I am NOT saying JP Hakari has infinite output; I'm just saying his infinite CE makes him a special case, so it's not enough to say "X > JP Hakari and JP Hakari can ignore the trait. Therefore, X can ignore the trait." 1:30 "Domainless sure hit, which Hakari dodged." You said you don't care about this point, but Hakari didn't dodge the lightning. After learning Hakari has RCT, Kashimo decides to aim for the head. He says, "I will pinpoint my lightning and make it explode in his head," implying he hadn't aimed for the head previously. Hakari then gets hit by it (can't dodge) and almost dies from it exploding in his head, as Kashimo said. It seems like the lightning hits Hakari and explodes in a random spot afterward unless Kashimo pinpoints the location where he wants it to explode. People think Hakari dodged the lightning because there appears to be a gap between Hakari's head and the lightning, and the next page shows his arm being blown off. However, there is always a small gap between the lightning and the target. For example, when Kashimo lands the headshot lightning, there is still a gap between the bolt and Hakari. When Kashimo runs the lightning through Hakari via his staff and himself, there is a small gap between the bolt and Kashimo AND between the bolt and the staff. Also, the lightning runs through Hakari, and in the next panel, it explodes in his abdomen, further supporting the idea that the lightning lands first and explodes afterward. The portion of the video addressing Kashimo's science-based hax is fine; I'm not going to argue that Kashimo has abilities that he hasn't shown. 6:54 "Yuki [...] can comfortably one-shot Kashimo." I know this is unpopular, but Yuki is not that physically impressive. Yes, she blew off Kenjaku's arm with one punch. This doesn't scale her anywhere. A) Kenjaku likely underestimated Yuki in this initial exchange. Later in the fight, after recovering her output, Yuki was landing direct hit after direct to Kenjaku's face and it only caused bleeding. This means he likely was holding back his reinforcement. B) Let's assume Yuki can one-shot Kenjaku; where does Kenjaku's durability even scale? Adult Geto only scales to kid Yuta. Choso only scales to Naoya and Shibuya Yuji. I understand that Yuki's CT increases her mass, and force is mass*acceleration. However, she can only increase her mass to a certain point, beyond which it'll affect her negatively. We don't know this point, so we don't know how much stronger this makes her. Furthermore, if you want to argue that the upper limit is just below the amount needed to turn her into a black hole and that you can actually calculate her max power, please refer to 5:22. 7:44 "Kashimo died to a fucking normal ass dismantle net." The Sukuna that fought Yuta had lower output than the Sukuna that fought Kashimo. This is because Yuji's soul punches weaken his control of the vessel, which has explicitly been stated multiple times to lower his output. 9:25 "Kashimo should've fought full power Sukuna during the time skip." You might be interpreting Kashimo's narrative in a negative light. During Gojo vs Sukuna, there are a couple times where we see where Kashimo's head is at. In Ch231, Gojo proclaims that he'll kill Sukuna. Hana asks if Gojo has forgotten that Megumi is Sukuna's vessel. Kashimo then says, "That's okay. Go on and forget." This shows that he's fine with Gojo killing Sukuna here. In Ch234, when Yuta wants to jump in to help Gojo, Kashimo says, "This is a fight for Satoru Gojo. Whatever happens, it's lame to interfere with it." This shows that Kashimo had respect for Gojo's beef with Sukuna. All in all, what can we gather from this? Kashimo is not just a Kenpachi "let me fight the strongest" type of character. His motivation for fighting Sukuna isn't to fight the strongest but to learn how to connect with/love others, which he believes can only be taught to him by the strongest. This is evident when he asks Sukuna this question the first chance he gets. At the end of the fight in that afterlife scene, Sukuna finally teaches Kashimo that letting ppl fight the strong to validate themselves is how the strong connect to others, shown by how Kashimo learned this only by fighting Sukuna, the strongest. The reason I believe you are misinterpreting Kashimo's character is because you believe it's out of character for Kashimo to be content fighting a crippled Sukuna. After all, his goal is to fight the strongest, simply just to fight the strongest. This would be true if this were his goal. However, Kashimo's goal is to learn from the strongest; he only knows how to do this by fighting him. Despite Sukuna's condition, he still has the wisdom that Kashimo seeks from him, so Kashimo is content with fighting a weakened Sukuna.
dude most of JJK fans inculding this guy doesnt even read manga and only looking Mya's leaks. Ofc they dont know shit about characters because their source isnt manga, (likely r/jujutsufolk). You cooked with this one and give actually arguments for your idea and i'm one hundred percent agree with you. But, debating with this kind of readers is just a waste of time. (and sorry for bad english)
I think the Problem about kashimo is that he feels like a character that was never finished from his arc to his Ct to his era like He is the strongest from his Era cool . However, the only other one from his era we have is Ryo, so it's one of gege's Statments with near to no impact or value behind like with the feats that sukuna just got when he transformed and like you explained the whole video his CT doesn't make sense I would say that gege just gave kashimo a overpowered ct cause he was the strongest of his era but didn't care if these statements would make sense and also the fact we Don't know if he has Rct or a domain is just careless writing at this point just as his death cause why is the one person with the body and mind beyond human capabilitys the one person that can't dodge sukunas slash but everybody else just dodges without problems. And to finish it off his character feels like he should be the middle part to sukuna and gojo in this concept of "The Strongest" like he is egotistical and ruthless like sukuna but wants to have people that can understand him like gojo so I Don't understand why we never had a conversation between gojo and kashimo in the whole month between gojos release and the fight between gojo and sukuna I really like Kashimo but he just feels like a concept that was never finished.
Kashimo's a Gege victim. He could've been a cool character but his potential was trashed because the only reason Gege included him in JJK is solely so that he could have his conversation about love with Sukuna. That, and the fact that the only person he fought other than Sukuna was Hakari. Gege gave us 2 characters, said "these guys are strong" and then we don't see them fight anyone else so there's no basis for scaling. If Kashimo or Hakari dumpstered some random sorcerers like Yuta was doing, there would be a lot less fraud allegations
I really hate it cause Kashimo has probably one of my favorite cursed techniques in the verse (the auto target lightning and speed boost), yet Gege just nerfed him and killed him off. Hakari is one of my favorite characters (mainly cause I fucking love gambling), and I think he's so cool and I hope we see a light novel of him in Jujutsu High as a first, second, and when he left Jujutsu High.
All power scaling aside. The thing that put me off the most was his attitude. In the flashbacks he's pictured as an old strong man who's lived his live for the battle craving to fight the strongest. Once he got reincarnated it seems like he's going back through puberty and just being a brat.
I like his ego but I don’t like how they portray it as 0 respect for others. It would’ve been much better had kashimo been written to be wise and calm headed but slightly egotistical and stubborn, instead he’s just the last two and i can see why it puts people off his character however i still think his story is incredibly well written he just needed a longer fight
Eh, going by the funeral for the living statement, I can see it make sense because he's waited for centuries and clapped a couple of weaker sorcerers to finally fight against strong opponents. Excitement to the point of losing such mature composure is somewhat understandable.
@@xCorvus7x people also fail to understand the effects of the body in the mind. going from an old soggy falling apart body to a young fully functional one older caracters are shown more humble because they feel their shortcomings they feel their old age reminding them of their mortality young fully healthy bodies dont have such a flaw so the humble caracters turns into a braty brat right then and there once given a young body
@@gaelurquiz5755 I wouldn't call it a flaw (would it be _right_ if that wasn't the case?) but that makes sense: feeling again the exuberance of youth - the atittude Todo professed when he interfered to support Yuji against Mahito - could make you more unhinged. Body and mind are one.
No, not really. Kashimo never wanted just to battle. He was exactly like Gojo. He wanted a battle that gave him purpose, that could lift his loneliness as the strongest of the era. He felt hopeless, so in a quick thought he incarnated and wanted to fight Sukuna in the modern era, as he was the “strongest”. Also, as the whole “brat” thing, I don’t get it. Really all I could consider from his character “bratty” was his impatience while waiting for Sukuna vs Gojo to end, snarking at Yuta. Even then, he was literally honoring Gojo’s wishes to not be interrupted and then took his turn. Kashimo was never bratty, he was just impatient for his battle which would literally give his entire life some purpose. (Which, you can’t really blame him for)
I don't think kashimo purpose in the story is bad because kashimo was simply another warrior like sorcerer the strongest and loves to fight and learn just like sukuna in a way.
Which would have been fine if Gege didn't make his whole thing about fighting 'Ryomen Sukuna: The Strongest in History' and then have him challenge the weakest Sukuna we seen since chapter 1
Yeah but he does have a point, anyone else would have been like “I’ll let you regain your power because I wanna fight you at your strongest” but no him he preached he wanted to fight the strongest but started fighting a weaker opponent 😅
@@Allons-Y-04he challenged the strongest Sukuna post 236. That Sukuna would have annihilated any other sorcerer besides Gojo with little to no difficulty
I think kashimo getting blitz by sukuna almost immediately is a really good ending for his story. He may have been the most powerful sorcerer of his time but doesn’t even compare to any special grades that exist past him. His overzealous nature and pride having it crumble instantly is why his story works for me
Would be an ok ending if gege gave him a throw away final attack as his technique but his ass done make a whole ass mode that sounds broken as shit and then make him get speed blitz by a weakened version of sukuna while "having a body made out of energy itself"
Kashimo ct could be the most fun ct in the whole series , if shown in a creative way .An example of a pseudo scientific user of electricity is misaka mikoto who uses electricity for electromagnetic wave for magnetism to stick to metallic object use metallic object for weapons, iron sand , radar , create plasma from metal , has a electromagnetic field around her body to protect her from other wave and mind control uses her bioelectric to move her muscle when paralysis, and create a Lorentz force to create a railgun etc by making an imaginary rail between he fingers ,cook rice perfectly without burning it by microwave , can hack any devices and database . Kashimo should be able to all of this but probably inst smart enough or has sufficient knowledge about physics.
It’s a one time use as far as he is aware with his kinda self-destructive mindset (he wanted to fight and die to sukuna more than win which is a big problem) after living a boring life to old age So he’d need to be willing to risk death in his amber state and experiment to even have a shot of making it so he can’t die There’s also the lack of Reverse Curse Technique (if i recall) and the theoretical reversal of his amber beast mode to make him close any perceived gaps
Show not tell isn't actually a hard tacked on rule. "Show when you need to and tell when you need" is the actual rule. Because showing all the time is such a ridiculous proposition
@@Jo-np4gb I’m not saying for all authors to just use visual representation for everything in their literature. I’m saying Kashimo is a prime example of a character being hyped up to be this super strong sorcerer, just for him to get completely smoked in every fight. Gege should’ve really shown more of his abilities, CT, battle iq, etc etc. we’ve SEEN why Sukuna is the strongest of his era. We’ve SEEN why Gojo is the sukuna of the modern era. Kashimo was just TOLD to us to be the strongest of his era, but from what we’ve SEEN him do in the manga, he really isnt that strong.
@Jo-np4gb I wish power scalers understood this I know power scalers thay claim super.an shifting s tectonic playe diesnt count cause it didn't show kt happening I'm like it's a movie there not real people of ots pit in there it's put on there for a reason it's impossible trying to explain to power scalers thay the narrative usually goes above feats in fiction
Kashimo was born with a cool ct and decided to say its enough. Because if had the mentality of the.strongest , he would seek for improvement. He didnt learn rct, or a domain He is basically fighting weak sorcerers and calls himself strong
Lowkey i find it sad how much of a wasted character Kashimo was, he was hyped to be strong as shit, his cursed technique sounds broken as fuck and then Gege one shots him in a 1 chapter fight, truly, the best fighting manga of today, a manga where fights with potential are skipped
Kashimo as a concept is cool, a sorcerer who was so strong he would've died of old age gets reincarnated at a time he can fight the strongest ever; then he almost loses to Hakari, when supposedly modern sorcerers are weaker than ones he fought in his time but Hakari is busted and he couldn't use his technique so sure. He teams up with "our guys" after killing part of Panda and from this team up or of Panda's sister dying nothing comes out, ok no problem. When he goes out to fight Sukuna we again don't really see why he was so strong he wasn't defeated before. The narrator does a great job describing a super cool technique and then what we see of it is lackluster. Tbf, if his technique meant death: had he never used it before and because of this he didn't know what to do?, or was there a point where he got so strong he couldn't use it again until a last time? If it's the former, it reinforces that he was as strong when he fought Hakari as he ever had to be in his previous undefeated life, and from my understanding, that doesn't add up with how strong the sorcerers of Kashimo's era were, surely he had to use his ct before he got so strong it would kill him; if it's the latter then it's a matter of him not living up to expectations, because that was such an inconsequential short fight, all it did was make Sukuna transform but we're not made to believe he wouldn't transform against our heroes had they stepped in first instead. For me Kahimo has this problem of being so uncertain I couldn't grasp the character and ultimately he seemed impactless. I think he could've been stronger in both fights without ruining or altering the outcomes so that what we're told of him and his ct is easier to believe and make sense of, and the reactions to his involvement in the story could've been a bit bigger than Panda crying once and Sukuna transforming. I might have misremembered something from the story so please correct me, especially regarding his ct and his previous life. Sorry for so much text, thanks for reading
I mainly have the same feelings. So much of what this character is hyped up for is marred by dubious translations. Kashimo is incredibly "Tell don't show." What we see is not nearly as impressive by what we are shown. I do think the take of him just fighting Sukuna before the Gojo fight would have been better. He probably would have been explored more thoroughly and we could have gotten way more.
No you’re spittin facts rn. Especially with the fact that Kashimo knowing about his CT makes no sense since if its a one time thing then how would he have known that unless he used it before but if he used it before then did he die? I get Gege wanted to do the whole “character has an ability that will kill them upon using it” but that trope only makes sense when the character ALREADY has an ability that they can use normally but is taxing, thus they know if they use the higher ability it could kill them Like the 8 Gates in Naruto. Its a technique known by ALOT of other ninjas so of course there would be a record of those who went all the way and died. Kaio-Ken in Dragon Ball, while it hasn’t killed Goku, is a technically that puts so much strain on the user’s body to where you know that amping it up too much would kill you. So it makes no sense with how Gege presented MBA.
@@STGAoe Some assume that he has used it before and that's why he even knew that it was dangerous and how to use it against Sukuna without looking like a noob who was just learning his techniques. I'm thinking he made a Binding Vow to only use it against Sukuna after he agreed to Kenjaku's deal, however something like this should've been spelt out if it were the case imo.
Kashimo needs to be buffed and he needs an interaction with Gojo because there is no reason he wouldn't be interested in The Strongest of The Modern Era and wouldn't have challenged him to be the first one to fight Sukuna. Also I had this reimagining of Kashimo vs Sukuna. It starts out the same, but after Sukuna was winning the CQC with his 4 arms Kashimo would cast a domain Sukuna would use Simple Domain( HWB works but Simple Domain would be better for him in this case) and he notes on the refinement of the domain. Kashimo's sure hit takes the form of a beast made out of every phenomena relating to electricity(The Mythic Beast if you will) and charges towards Sukuna and starts breaking the Simple Domain, but Sukuna says "Dodge this" like he did in the actual fight, charging the World Slash and cutting the sure hit right down the middle. The domain breaks l, showing Kashimo is missing an arm. Reveling in the pain, Kashimo regenerates his arm and Sukuna starts comparing him to Gojo, saying Gojo thrived alone and questioning if he's the same. Sukuna starts charging a World Slash as he continues to provoke Kashimo, Sukuna notices a spark as Kashimo rushes towards him in full Mythic Beast as the fight continues until Kashimo's death while Sukuna has burns all over his body as Higuruma and Yuji enter. Feel free to disagree, but I think this would at least help Kashimo's reputation.
I think at some point he potentially made a binding vow that would kill him in order to make his technique stronger or something. Or it could litterally be that he had no idea what he was doing cause he only used the technique twice
Characters like Kashimo or Yuki are some of the reasons why I can't take fans seriously when they say JJK has peak writing it's not terrible, and obviously, no manga is perfect; but it has so many flaws and just make us ask so many questions. Just all the speculations and hype around Kashimo is proof of that to me
@@pancake-m7n A single anime that I think has better writing than JJK? I could name so many. Not saying any of these shows are perfect but I would definitely rank them above JJK: Madoka Magica, Fate Zero, heck even Attack On Titan, despite its flaws.

I have never encountered a Kashimo fan despite being one myself. Feel like he lacked proper writting and could've been a better character. If people say too many crazy shit I might change my favorite character
You must be going to the depths to find ts because anywhere I go with Kashimo involved it’s always “Yuta > Kashimo” “Yuki > Lashimo” “15f Sukuna > Bumshimo”
Hollow wicket basket doesn't needs the hand stuff, we clearly see that in the Reggie vs megumi fight and you got his CT wrong, he shots the soundwaves through his mouth(which sukuna survived), his electromagnetis waves come from his hand(And sukuna was forced to dodge them twice lmao). In chapter 250 page 13-15 we see how some dismantles from a already weakened Sukuna gave yuta multiple cuts all over his body, same Yuta who was inside his own domain(which amps your stats) in chapter 251 page 8-9 we see that Sukuna was still capable of harming Yuta.
Hollow wicker basket does need the hand stuff bros completely ignoring the sukuna vs yuta fight 😂. The already weakened sukuna that fought yuta was stronger than the sukuna that fought Kashimo because the sukuna that fought yuta had recovered more cursed energy. Yuta and Kashimo are getting speed blitzed by sukuna full power so it doesn’t matter anyway.
@@Allons-Y-04 if a lot of characters already scale above kasimo then wanting to fight strongest is kinda pointless cuz he (was) the strongest in his era and he thought he is only second to sukuna but now his only top 10
@@Abdullah-vm1hoyeah in his “8 gates” like mode being able to swap hand with base kashimo isn’t going to be that impressive, especially when mr “i adjust my curse energy levels to my opponent” sukuna is making a lot of others efforts nearly unquantifiable in comparison
i feel like kashimo and by extension his technqiue have so much potential, which the anime could easily expand upon and help get a better grasp on his capabilities, but they currently suffer from his manga fight was incredibly short, just like most of the fights in this arc (which is the biggest issue with the arc overall (excluding gojo vs sukuna ofc)). this short fight issue makes characters who get hyped up by gege to feel underwhelming because the 'show dont tell' rule applies
Kashimo was born the strongest of his period, everyone he fought during his time was a bum, he aint no fraud, he just got the dream he wanted of joining an era where there are broken sorcerers.
Strongest of his lifetime sure. Edo period was 260years long and there is not a single thing in the manga that says or even implies he was the strongest of that whole era... lifetime tho yeah
The greatest agenda against Kashimo is explaining why Miwa can tank a 100% Output Malevolent Shrine using only her Simple Domain while MBA Kashimo got sliced by a couple dismantles. Miwa actually took on nearly 100x that many slashes in the form of Cleave that was tracking on her AND the Dismantles randomly set to attack Maki.
I'm pretty sure the vibration bit means that Kashimo could shatter glass and possibly bust your eardrums by getting close enough, the vibrations might interfere with a weak sorcerer's heartrate but I doubt it, probably would only effect normal humans if it did anything at all, not sure it is useful but maybe, also if he can detect the vibrations it might work as a 360 sense but no idea and I don't exactly wanna give Kashi-Chan powers that are unconfirmed
It’s gotten so popular to shit on Kashimo it just feels messy. Will we now argue that Sukuna, Gojo, and Yuta can survive a black hole. Also Kashimo clearly came back for more than just to fight Sukuna, he wanted to fight “the strongest” which at the time was either Gojo or Sukuna a level of respect of letting them decide who held the title makes sense rather than (in his mind) robbing Gojo of the greatest moment in his life. The conversation between Kashimo and Sukuna kinda exemplifies the main reasons why he traveled through time also reflecting on why he didn’t travel to fight Ryu. He was searching for the answers as to why he was so unsatisfied at the end of his life. He wanted to know what he was missing in relation to The Strongest and if that would have led to his happiness. It’s another avenue of love that JJK portrays and people weren’t the biggest fans of it so I understand why it’s so controversial to begin with.
Yeah I get that but thats not what Gege or Kashimo did... there were tonnes of sorcerers stronger than Kashimo, including Gojo but Kashimo still wanted to fight Sukuna so it makes no sense to me that he was fine fighting a half assed Sukuna instead of the full power Sukuna Gojo got to fight ygm
@@Allons-Y-04 I mean sure you can assume so but there was a sorcerer arguably stronger than him in his own era in Ryu. He was an old man too so losing made sense, but he more so wanted to confront the person who stood at the top rather than the figure. His first thing he does when meeting Sukuna is asking him questions and pondering his own thoughts and feelings
I completely agree with you but i think that kashimo wanted to fight just sukuna, like even if Gojo was stronger than sukuna, was sukuna that had the answers to what kashimo wanted, him and gojo both needed the answers that sukuna had, that's why he didn't care about the state that sukuna was, he just wanted to understand why he was so lonely by being the strongest and how sukuna didn't fell the same as him and gojo
Ngl I straight up forgot his name while reading JJK. That’s how forgettable he was to me, he’s such a nothing character. He’s a guy whose personality is “I LIKE FIGHTING!” in an arc where 70% of the new characters introduced have the personality of “I LIKE FIGHTING!”
2:44 It means that he can use any phenomenon related to electricity, like electromagnetism, he can pass his cursed energy through a metal rod (or smthn like that) and make, probably the strongest magnet on earth. His ct has good potential ,but he needs to know advanced physics to make full use of it. If he was born in the current era, his ct would be 100x better that displayed.
I think it's best to wait for the anime to show how destructive Kashimo's CT is because Mahoraga similarly got stomped out by Sukuna in the Shibuya incident in under 2 chapters. We all saw how massive that fight became for the anime
7:44 Completely forgot that it was never confirmed what kind of slashes hit Kashimo there. Always assumed they were expanded target slashes, but we never see Sukuna chanting for them.
Not being able to do much against sukuna doesnt make him a bad character imo. As a character he had his uses for theme exploration within jjk's story between sukuna, gojo and hakari, which i'd argue is far more important than actually showing off why he was considered the strongest. That said...yeah it was extremly disappointing that he didn't do more lol. The fight needed at least another chapter.
I feel like he had no real purpose other than reinforcing what was already covered by Sukuna and Gojo... he should not have happily settled for fighting a version of Sukuna that weak despite how much he respected Gojo's need for that 1v1. Should have sought him out during timeskip imo
@@Allons-Y-04I thought him fighting Sukuna at that point exemplifies the old school attitude toward jujutsu sorcery and fighting. It didn't matter how much weaker sukuna was since the start of the fight against Gojo, he was still the strongest. The ultimate respect kashimo could show him in that moment was to throwdown and go all out. Fighting him during the time skip would have been a good idea. I do agree. But I can't just say I'm disappointed in kashimo's character because there is still a lot that resonates with me.
@@Jo-np4gb Of course he was still the strongest... but with Kashimo's own mentality he would only want to fight the absolute strongest which is peak Sukuna. Think of it like this, imagine if that Sukuna fought prime Heian Sukuna... who would win? The stronger Sukuna. Kashimo should be like Mihawk and want to fight peak Shanks not one armed Shanks ygm
I’m pretty sure the mouth blasts are sound attacks not electromagnetic attacks because of the large sound effect that happens just before he uses them.
2:50 it’s referring to a concept on physics where if a sound wave is at the right frequency and the material resonates with it, it’s sturdiness basically won’t matter and it will crumble
The truth is that base Kashimo is already busted when you consider how basic CE projectiles would work in his case or how his electric staff trick would counter domains both from inside and outside
I think Sukuna wasn't hit by the evaporating waves rather the resonance thingy attack. The evaporating waves he had to dodge so we dont know their impact. Basicaly the evaporation technique comes from his hands while the resonance attack comes from his mouth.
For the resonance one. You see how opera singers can break glass at a certain pitch, that is resonance. In theory every object has a resonant frequency and if applied can technically break anything.
@@Allons-Y-04 It probably was, a lot of people think it was. Think about it; Freshly reincarnated Heian Era Sukuna at maximum output. It isn't too far-fetched.
When we actually found out what the conditions were to activate the world slash we realized the waffle couldn't be made of world cutting slash. Sukuna could have totally Chanted and Did the Hand sign to maximize the output for that dismantle net, sure, But to achieve a proper world dismantle you need to demonstrate the path the slash will take with your hand. That's for one single WCS. To perform the net he'd need to Fully Chant+Sign+Wave his hand for each individual slash. And simply put, if Sukuna WAS fast enough to talk faster than the speed of sound, and be able to launch that many WCS that quickly: 1. He wouldn't need the binding vow in the first place to get the instant WCS on Gojo 2. He wouldn't he able to be jumped by anyone because naturally nobody would be able to react to an activation so fast... circling back to the binding vow not meaning anything. The internal world logic of JJK functionally does not work anymore if the net is that net was made of WCS, knowing what we know now. Were the conditions a retcon? I personally believed it was because the implications and the timing of when we got the conditions for how the WCS was sloppy as hell... but tl;dr it's what we got.
I mean it was the one slash. And it was a slash he gave Kashimo a heads up to dodge. Kashimo admits he would have been hit without being prepared for it. The only difference between a WCS and a regular dismantle is that WCS has an expanded targeting capability. Which translates as something like perfect dura-neg. Kashimo was not fast enough to react to one slash on his own, let alone a net of regular dismantles. Yet Maki has the ability to dodge dismantles on her own despite not being able to see curses. ... Of course that doesn't really matter either way because Sukuna is shown multiple times to blitz his own dismantles against Maki, Choso, and maybe others throughout the fight.
@@CloudyDaze I'm not talking about that, I was referring to the debunk that sukuna dodged EM waves through the spark, yet he cuts them casually in the next chapter.
Kashimo has a dope fit and designed aggressively well, is he dumb thou..... yes. His down fall was rushing Sukuna for a 1v1 instead of waiting for the squad.
He's designed to be an example of what Henain era sorcerers were like. And how Kenjaku's plan to bring sorcerers far beyond the peak of that era is actually working.
I have said this before and ill say it again: the point of Kashimos character was that he was a self-fulfilling prophecy. He effectively only agreed to reincarnate as a cursed object due to the prospect of going all out and dying at the hands of Sukuna , because all his life he believed he was alone as the strongest. To avoid this loneliness-to feel a connection (love if you will) he went out of his way to partake in the culling games and die at the hands of someone who would understand that loneliness which inherently comes with unrivaled power. He wanted someone to acknoweledge his struggle.
yeah kashimo glazers are dumb as hell but powerscaling does not make a character terrible... his challenge to sukuna wasn't just about power, but to understand how to satisfy his loneliness. not doing well in a fight doesn't make a character "poorly written" or "wasted potential", the entire thing about his ending was about the flaws of his ideology against sukuna's.
I get that but the 'poorly written' part of my video had nothing to do with powerscaling or Kashimo's strength. It was about how it had potential but felt rushed and that theme would have been better explored against a full power sukuna during the timeskip ygm
@@Allons-Y-04 that's valid, i actually agree that we shoud've had more of kashimo in the story and understand that it felt rushed, i guess my comment was more so directed to the people who will hate a character just based on powerscaling when the point was beyond that.
What could have been. Gege writes things from week to week and Kashimo needed more than a page's worth of explanation. Edit: It's possible the reason that Sukuna said "Too Loud" was a because he'd just gotten hit by a soundwave blast, as opposed to the whole radiation thing. Then again, I don't know anything.
I like Kashimo but I understand why you dont like him I am a big fan of his battle against Hakari and I am someone who is very interested in the "sciency" explanations for powers so his power is just my thing. Kashimo's attacks are pretty much eletromagnetic Nukes
7:44 why tf were those dismantles so huge and doing so much damage to the ground and then straight after sukuna decided not to use that again? Or is kashimo a bum
Kashimo's a bum. At most they were chanted and enhanced, but they could not be world slashes because that would violate the binding vow set by Sukuna. He dodged 1 world dismantle with help from Sukuna, but to activate a world dismantle you HAVE to go through the full chant, handsign, and hand motion, per slash
I feel like this doesn't do kashimo right, i think while yes he didn't mean much in the sukuna fight the reason i like him is because of his death. He fought sukuna because in his mind sukuna was the strongest because he was sukuna similar to the "are you the strongest because you're gojo" question and yes, they are both the strongest because their sukuna and gojo. Kashimo wanted a good fight and sukuna while yes very weak compared to his max was still ready for a fight against kashimo, and just like gojo kashimo wanted to reach at sukuna with all he had and sukuna in that form was ready for kashimos power. and kashimo almost certainly knew he would never actually win, throughout the fight sukuna and kashimo talks like a master and student because kashimo wanted to learn from sukuna if strength always resulted in not being able to show weakness and only to see people weaker as dirt under their feet. Sukuna also says that it's not like himself, gojo and kashimo don't know they're lonely but they simply don't understand it. Kashimo was greedy, he fought and killed the sorcerers of his era who only wanted his recognition and he never even looked at the twice while wishing he understood them, sukuna tells him that the title of the strongest will always have you standing above everyone looking down on them and when they try to climb to your position it is your duty as the strongest to hold that title so people can reach for it and take it away, and sukuna being the strongest killed gojo and honored his death by telling him while he wasn't the strongest the strongest had acknowledging him, while kashimo as the strongest didn't do this, he walked over his opponent and never acknowledged them and sukuna said he was greedy because he wanted to and held the strongest title while complaining about the cost of having it. Kashimo is like alot of people, he is the best at something but feels nothing from it because on the journey up he had everything to gain but after having everything what do you have to seek, nothing, only your duty to the be bench mark for someone to reach and after that you can rest. I do feel like i yapped like hell and thank you to anyone who did read my ramblings. I feel like kashimo isn't seen the way i put it by many people and while he's not my favorite character i like the message he tries to tell.
Kashimo’s relation with sukuna in their fight as teacher and student clearly must have flown straight over that nonexistent head of yours. And calling him a fraud is crazy when yuta gojo literally lasted 7 pages

Bro had the power to use electricity, and was one of the fastest characters in JJK and was the stringest of his era In brief, Kashimo is fucking ASS and a waste of godlike potential (Also, im a kashimo glazer, so dont go on my ass kashimo glazers)
Can you reference me a panel of kashimo wanting to fight sukuna for the purpose of defeating him and/or gratifying his strength (when sukuna would be at full power)? i thought his pursuit of him was to find another perspective of being isolated as the strongest cause he was unsatisfied of how shouldve lived, living to old age to question is there more to this and how do you respond to love matter of fact sukuna taunted kashimo to fight him for that answer, despite his hurt state, kashimo just acted accordingly
"I'm getting so pissed off that you're talking to me like I'm the one who's going to lose. I'm pissed off. I'm not going to..." The main letdown that i have with him as a character is the fact that his "one time" CT, that he was saving for Sukuna was trash. From someone who had an amazing fight with Hakari and had a lightning based ability, which in shonen is one of the most BADASS AND FUN abilities, i expected Gege to go hard with his CT. After Gojo vs Sukuna, with NOBODY expecting Pikachu to win against Sukuna, we expected to have at least a cool fight. Despite his hubris and arrogance as well as having a great fight with Hakari, what was left was a sorry ass laughable character. His halfbaked one chapter characterization did not do anything for me. Could not care less, and the fact that this farmer did not fight with healthy Sukuna is also a big letdown. Also, THANK YOU for being one of the most based and reasonabale people, who rightfully say that Yuta, Kenny, Yuki, Yorozu > CT Kashimo. Top tiers with deadly DE will win against rctless, domainless water victim. W Video.
The purpose of ryu getting clapped like that was to show that even after he was “satisfied” by yuta he still wanted to eat more and this time biting more than he could chew
I’m convinced he had a binding vow in place that would allow him to continuously use his curse technique without dying in the process. And that when he was reincarnated for the Culling Game, that binding vow got nullified.
I liked Kashimos character, but I get your point from this video. Too bad gege is the biggest sukuna glazer and killed him off in less then 3 chapters 😭
4:48, jjk has some of the most inconsistent speed ever, Maki’s bullet catch was like a mach 10 feat. Then Yuji is barely reaching to mach 1 piercing bloods? Then he’s getting perception blitzed by Naoya who’s mach 1 post Shibuya, did he get slower somehow? Then there’s the mach 3 statement which Gege admitted was dumb, then Hakari maybe dodging Kashimo’s lightning, and then Sukuna potential dodging Kashimo’s attack.
I have always liked Kashimo's character, cuz he is just some strong and crazy dude that only knows how to fight. But imo its really disingenuous to say that he is a fraud or that he will be beaten by other characters just like that. I reread the chapters of him fighting Sukuna and there is not a single point that he actually shows much of a weakness. The moment he releases his technique Sukuna is forced to reincarnate. Before that Sukuna seemed like being okay fighting in that state. Base Kashimo is equal to Jackpot Hakari, who is equal to Yuta as stated by himself (remember that the most important thing is actually the level of the sorcerers here not who will beat who). So with that being said, if Sukuna can handle Base Kashimo he should be able to handle Yuta in that state, which means that there is just no way that after Kashimo releasing his CT Yuta can beat him(this doesn't mean Yuta will trash or can't do anything to harm Kashimo btw) Yuki and Kenjaku, Kenjaku moreso than Yuki is probably stronger than Kashimo, since he is more experienced, but both Yuki and Kenjaku have busted techniques, where Kashimo is just as i said at the start crazy and strong and just goes in and fights, he has a fighters mentality. Yorozu is strange to look at, since she was beaten by 15 finger Meguna, even tho i would still personally put her somewhere at the top, since she was kinda hyped up in the Heian era. Basically don't shit on Kashimo, but also dont overhype him. He is strong af, if we exclude Gojo and Sukuna, who are both portraited as the pinnacle of Jujutsu. We will never really know how strong exactly he is, so use your imagination and deduce for yourself how strong is he, no need to argue about it.
@@Allons-Y-04 congrats u successfully missed the whole point. If like gojo after a loss like that he learnt domain and RCT other than gojo nd sukuna he beats everyone easy.
I love Kashimo's technique, but I HATE the character. He could of been so cool, being a character who thinks he's strong, yet was born in a time where no one was strong. He's so cool and strong yet he just... died over nothing...
The "irrated" line is confusing, given electromagnetic forces are separate from weak force (radiation). I know it's a manga and take science with a grain of salt but irradiate also can be switched with illuminate which is fitting to the electromagnetic thing but idk hate hearing serious science break downs as a science nerd makes me take a fictional story serious. But thinking about it he has access to x ray vision so who knows. Crap hate doing double edits but: the mouth blast was most likely just a sound attack. Just screamed at Mach speed, since they mentioned the resonating part of his ability.
Don't forget Sukuna can use Domain amplification, he survived blue and red for purple he did another trick adding to DA and you expect him to die against Kashimo attacks... Kashimo was strong but Sukuna was a bad match with distance attack, barrage attack and the slashes that cut the existence itself....after Gojo and Kashimo noone take him alone and that's why they manage to continue doing better... don't take Kashimo lightly because he loose to Sukuna because Sukuna immediately transform to keep up in this fight.
@@Allons-Y-04it's because you mentioned his attacks were easily countered like Sukuna just tank the attack with his body, If Sukuna didn't use DA at this moment the author would have mentioned this (Gege like to do thing with subtilty like showing in this chapter that Sukuna need to do hand sign, chant and show direction for the world cutting slash)...The waves were easily countered by the only character capable of this with ease because of DA...as I said Sukuna was a bad match up with those superior distant attacks and he clearly surpassed him in speed even before transformation but Kashimo was insanely fast with that mystical beast body...if it was Sukuna with a normal dismantle it would have been different because the wave could have been able to collide with slashes instead of being cut like nothing.
2:48 its based on tuning resonance. Idk how to explain it but its like if u had 2 identical tuning forks and u hit one from across some distance. 0:54 "No domain or RCT"
This is contentious since ppl argue Kashimo healed the cut on his hand in MBA vs. Sukuna; I'm not entirely convinced on this but do keep in mind that he might have some RCT-like healing ability.
1:20 "Passive electrical cursed energy trait that will literally never be useful against any strong opponent."
While it is true that high output can ignore his CE trait, the only case we have is JP Hakari, who has infinite CE, so it's unknown how many other sorcerers can match his output. Disclaimer: I am NOT saying JP Hakari has infinite output; I'm just saying his infinite CE makes him a special case, so it's not enough to say "X > JP Hakari and JP Hakari can ignore the trait. Therefore, X can ignore the trait."
1:30 "Domainless sure hit, which Hakari dodged."
You said you don't care about this point, but Hakari didn't dodge the lightning.
6:54 "Yuki [...] can comfortably one-shot Kashimo."
I know this is unpopular, but Yuki is not that physically impressive.
7:44 "Kashimo died to a fucking normal ass dismantle net."
The Sukuna that fought Yuta had lower output than the Sukuna that fought Kashimo. This is because Yuji's soul punches weaken his control of the vessel, which has explicitly been stated multiple times to lower his output.
9:25 "Kashimo should've fought full power Sukuna during the time skip."
You might be interpreting Kashimo's narrative in a negative light.

I think the Problem about kashimo is that he feels like a character that was never finished from his arc to his Ct to his era like He is the strongest from his Era cool . However, the only other one from his era we have is Ryo, so it's one of gege's Statments with near to no impact or value behind like with the feats that sukuna just got when he transformed
and like you explained the whole video his CT doesn't make sense I would say that gege just gave kashimo a overpowered ct cause he was the strongest of his era but didn't care if these statements would make sense and also the fact we Don't know if he has Rct or a domain is just careless writing at this point just as his death cause why is the one person with the body and mind beyond human capabilitys the one person that can't dodge sukunas slash but everybody else just dodges without problems.
Agreed.
I think we'll se their discussion in flashbacks or something like that
Kashimo's a Gege victim.

It’s a one time use as far as he is aware with his kinda self-destructive mindset (he wanted to fight and die to sukuna more than win which is a big problem) after living a boring life to old age
So he’d need to be willing to risk death in his amber state and experiment to even have a shot of making it so he can’t die
There’s also the lack of Reverse Curse Technique (if i recall) and the theoretical reversal of his amber beast mode to make him close any perceived gaps

Kashimo was born with a cool ct and decided to say its enough. Because if had the mentality of the.strongest , he would seek for improvement.
He didnt learn rct, or a domain
He is basically fighting weak sorcerers and calls himself strong
I get Gege wanted to do the whole “character has an ability that will kill them upon using it” but that trope only makes sense when the character ALREADY has an ability that they can use normally but is taxing, thus they know if they use the higher ability it could kill them
Like the 8 Gates in Naruto.
@@STGAoe
Some assume that he has used it before and that's why he even knew that it was dangerous and how to use it against Sukuna without looking like a noob who was just learning his techniques.

In chapter 250 page 13-15 we see how some dismantles from a already weakened Sukuna gave yuta multiple cuts all over his body, same Yuta who was inside his own domain(which amps your stats)
in chapter 251 page 8-9 we see that Sukuna was still capable of harming Yuta.
Kashimo just wanted to be executed by sukuna. He already lost to Hikari, which defeated the purpose of incarnating to fight someone stronger.

i feel like kashimo and by extension his technqiue have so much potential, which the anime could easily expand upon and help get a better grasp on his capabilities, but they currently suffer from his manga fight was incredibly short, just like most of the fights in this arc (which is the biggest issue with the arc overall (excluding gojo vs sukuna ofc)). this short fight issue makes characters who get hyped up by gege to feel underwhelming because the 'show dont tell' rule applies
Kashimo was born the strongest of his period, everyone he fought during his time was a bum, he aint no fraud, he just got the dream he wanted of joining an era where there are broken sorcerers.

7:46 oh that was a normal dismantle waffle iron? My dumbass thought it was the world cutting slashes
When we actually found out what the conditions were to activate the world slash we realized the waffle couldn't be made of world cutting slash.
Sukuna could have totally Chanted and Did the Hand sign to maximize the output for that dismantle net, sure,
But to achieve a proper world dismantle you need to demonstrate the path the slash will take with your hand. That's for one single WCS. To perform the net he'd need to Fully Chant+Sign+Wave his hand for each individual slash.
And simply put, if Sukuna WAS fast enough to talk faster than the speed of sound, and be able to launch that many WCS that quickly:
1. He wouldn't need the binding vow in the first place to get the instant WCS on Gojo
@@CloudyDaze Ah i see that makes sense, thanks for the explanation
4:43 but what about when sukuna charges WCS and cuts the waves the next chapter?

I like Kashimo but I understand why you dont like him

So with that being said, if Sukuna can handle Base Kashimo he should be able to handle Yuta in that state, which means that there is just no way that after Kashimo releasing his CT Yuta can beat him(this doesn't mean Yuta will trash or can't do anything to harm Kashimo btw)
Yuki and Kenjaku, Kenjaku moreso than Yuki is probably stronger than Kashimo, since he is more experienced, but both Yuki and Kenjaku have busted techniques, where Kashimo is just as i said at the start crazy and strong and just goes in and fights, he has a fighters mentality.
Nothing I said in that video has anything to do with him losing to Sukuna.
Dude you are the only guy who doesn’t stupidly upscale or downscale any character
Power scaling is best enjoyed casually
@@Allons-Y-04 true👏🏻
2:48 its based on tuning resonance. Idk how to explain it but its like if u had 2 identical tuning forks and u hit one from across some distance. If the other is totally identical it would sympathetically vibrate too, without being touched. How this plays into his ability i have no clue

I understand what it does but what no one knows is wtf Kashimo gains from that lmao
@@Allons-Y-04ah shoulda watched 1 more min lol. Yea my best guess is it might be akin to Nobaras ability. Soul damage too maybe?
