Something interesting about Shrine is that output doesn’t seem to be its main source of damage. We know Yuta’s efficiency is ass and when he became a sorcerer it took him a while to stop leaking cursed energy so his control isn’t the best either. Yuji took a couple hours to get basically control down and a single fight to start spamming black flash which we know takes a lot of control.
The reason i point this out is that Sukuna was able to one shot Ryu with cleave even though we know Ryu has higher output and thus better reinforcement. So it’s possible Shrine works like infinity and its power comes from how effectively you can control cursed energy and not just your output. It makes sense, a sharp knife is better than a dull one. This kinda tracks since Yuji was able to deal more damage with a lower output cleave than Yuta and implies that Yuta’s bad control over cursed energy is what was holding him back.
I think I get what ur saying but so far Gege's descriptions of cleave make it sound very output based. Sukuna did also say Yuta and Yuji were as tough as Ryu was so that doesn't necessarily hold as an argument
@Allons-Y-04 I personally disagree about yuta's shrine being weaker than yuji's. Cause think about it what yuta did was copy the raw technique of shrine while in yuji's case it slowly became engraved on him which I think would make the technique less potent and more likely to be influenced by things like the Era and user. The reason why I think yuta's cleave looked weaker is because despite copying it he might not know how to use it. In that case yuji would better because of the special grade jujutsu thing in his body that kusakabe was talking about which made he's cleave better because his body would know how to use it and he himself saw sukuna use it
EDIT:yujis shrine will probably be better than both at some point

Isn’t cleave meant to adjust power to the opponents defences so i don’t get how yuji being bad at using it would change anything
So idk how many people noticed. But when yujis foot was sliced off it seemed as if he used blood manipulation to bring his foot back together. It wasn't typical rct healing as we've seen EVERY character have the trademark smoke. I had a feeling that chosos talk with him about feeling his veins might yield to unique results. But this may just be a small sign of what's to come

Yes the output part is totally how you say it, but I think the "soul punch" property might have more perks we aren't aware of.

We know a big part of where his strength and potential comes from - inheriting Sukuna's twin. Yuji's all about kindness and his story is one of people coming together, gramps was a salty dog so sweetness came more from his dad, Sukuna's twin. Twin's are counted as the same in cursed standards so Sukuna's boosted stats from absorbing his twin is Yuji's stat boost. Yuji absorbing the first finger as a fetus is even karmic and could've been the 'cursed ritual' that allowed him to be such a food receptacle

I know where gege is going with this.. Almost every anime starts with the main charrectors gettting a crazy power level so randomly but here yuji won't jump to those straight away but slowly.. We are witnessing a growth of a charrector in full detail, bit by bit and understanding an emotional reason behind each power level he has had so far... And there will be a point when he will indeed outrank every single person in jjk verse.. Right now he is in the middle level rank but soon he will be at the highest level rank.. It took him this much to get to middle where he lost every loved one and in order to reach his maximum power levels he's gonna have to go through something worse which he will... There is so much difference between the current yuji and the yuji from the starting season... No one *NO ONE* not a single person has had growth like him and you have to agree on this... This is leads to the point that yuji will outrank everyone in time and there will be a reason for everything for him to keep moving on and become stronger and it will happen! And although he hasn't reached his max level he is still able to do things no one has... Who the fuck landed 8-9 blash flashes so far constantly as if it's as easy as breathing ? No one! And yuji was able to do this from the start when he hadn't even reached his current level... This only proves that he will surpass everyone.

5:30 dismantle is not based on a binding vow. They even mention this when explaining that the world cutting slash was a binding vow used on dismantle to create it along with a two hand signs and 1 hand to point. only the world cutting slash was/is a vow for sure. dismantle(im assuming now) only requires a high level of mastery with cleave as mentioned by sukuna and pointing in a direction as a hand sign to cast it. and yuta can only copy one cursed technique.
i like to think yuji will later be able to use dismantle and mix it with blood manipulation

One thing about that I think I’ve noticed (might be wrong), we have never been told exactly how much CE he has in his arsenal. If I’m right there’s room for gage to write in that when he’s at maximum he could have more than sakuna due to him not having such a dry push to get stronger other than to do just that like sakuna. I truly believe that Yuji will be the only one standing at the end just to make him think that he met his goal to not die alone, then to take that all away and he wins after but just by himself and then he lives the rest of his life without everyone he loves, in which means he dies alone which is his worst fear. (Im definitely trippin right)?

Something I didnt bring up before that I shouldve, I think yuji has the same CE reserves as sukuna being 2x yuta and 4x gojo, but that his efficiency isnt quite as good as sukunas, still being higher than yutas due to sukuna using his body enough to engrave a cursed technique and all the black flashes/ soul swap training, anyways, the reason I think yuji is at this level or higher is due to adapting and gaining the 15 fingers worth of power by being sukunas vessel and then when he left he lost the restrictions sukuna had been limiting him by, only to then go on and eat the 6 death paintings which also gave him CE, it doesnt say how much, but im willing to gamble six death painting wombs have similar reserves to 5 sukuna fingers at the least, they are all special grade corpse objects after all, so even if 1 finger is slightly great reserves than 1 womb it should equal out at six, especially since the death paintings probably wanted yuji to have their power seeing as how he unlocked their collective blood manipulation instantly, but need black flashes while sukuna was removed from his body to use shrine, which yuji landing 8 black flashes and being pushed to near death multiple times shouldve given him greater access to his bodys potential regardless, TLDR yuji is sukuna+ level just FAR more inexperienced and FAR les refined/skilled
I definitely buy into how yuji will need to a domain expansion to compete in the top 5. But i always thought if he didn't get a domain it would've been a maximum technique which are said to be even stronger than domain to make up for the difference.

So many people keep thinking "this person will end the fight" and noone is paying attention to YUJI. bro is the main character and gege is destroying everyone elses MC syndrome 1 by 1 until yall FOCUS. the merger IS coming back and THAT will be yujis final bout once sukuna is almost done for and yuji is the last in battle. he is going to master all of what he has because that would be true closure for his character. becoming the strongest but not being able to save all of his true friends from their fate especially not when they shine the brightest.

Yuji awakening have many ups and downs. He gained 2 techniques and at the same time the ability to hit black flash almost at will. But still gets push away by sukuna.
For me it is a realistic awakening… not so overpowered
with the whole blood manipulation helping RCT thing that Choso i'm pretty sure he was referring to how as a death womb he's capable of generating blood and that Yuji has gained that by eating the others, hence why he said "bodies" and not "technique", Kamo can't generate blood and has to use blood packets or reuse blood he's already used. i'm not saying blood manipulation doesn't help, the grabbing the foot thing was 100% blood manipulation, it just can't generate blood. all in all great video.

I rewatched season one recently and so far it is said that yuji just absorbed the shrine technique from sukuna, so we basically don't know if this is Yuji's own technique inherited by blood (like Toji and Maki both Zenin, Yuji is the same family as Sukuna) or if Gojo is right and Yuji has no technique of his own. What im trying to say (cuz i like Yuji) is that he could have another technique of his own cuz i want him to be OP

I dont think so remember in one of the chapters where yuta and yuji just arrived to fight sukana, and sukuna asked them how they got stronger or whatever question he ask and yuji was about to say hard work and dedication but was interrupted by yuta saying they cheated? I think it was foreshadowing, because yuta used kenjaku's ability to get in to gojo's body (which is basically cheating) while yuji slowly gaining sukana's abilitys wont cheat and gain more power by hard work and dedication.

Yuta's cleave not doing much damage to Sukuna might be because Yuta wasn't making nearly enough contact with Sukuna. Sukuna held Yuta's Katana with his hand that was covered with small slashes to minimize/prevent contact.
Yuji rn is Supreme Grade 1, in the JJK society official ranking hes a first grade . Although the promotion i guess didn't reeeeaally take place but clearly Yuji is a top grade 1 level. Soon to be Special Grade imo

I think yuji is gonna use pircing blood to increase range and speed of flames without using binding vows I think his flames will be stronger compared to sukuna with same amount of cursed after fully refining his cursed techniques and applying them both together at once

Since Blood Manipulation is a techine, it has a Domain right? So, if Yuji has both Shrine and Blood Manipulation, could he get two Domains? It's never been actually stated that he can't, but also hasn't been stated that he can... (btw I have no clue wtf I'm talking about)

Chipping away output isn’t something he can specifically do to sukuna, he does it against mahito which is the only way he’s damaged without his ce being burnt out. He was struggling to maintain his soul after fighting nanami and yuji because his output was being depleted.

The ritual was void.........so yeah and no he didn't have time to tame it. He killed Tsumiki withband prior to that he had to do the bath....so again no time....means massive hole

We know that Yuji is strong because he was 1 a baby of Kenny and Sukuna’s twin with is technically sukuna and 2 he was born with Sukuna’s finger SEALED inside of him we know that Sukuna’s fingers make whatever they possess incredibly more powerful.

So how does regeneration work with the soul? Anyone can heal a limb but can anyone just heal their soul on command? What happens when your soul’s HP gets too low? Is everyone of yuji’s attacks technically 2X damage? Crushing the body and hurting the soul?
U need to have 'awareness' of the soul and RCT in order to heal it and even then Sukuna says its hard. But yes Yuji basically deals 2x damage
