Important note for anyone who has problems. After you seperate the edge loops to make curves they will likely need to be cleaned up due to bad normals and all manner of other problems with the geometry. You might be better off making a new curve and using Snapping with the faces element the selected option. This will give you cleaner geometry and save you a f***ing head ache.
Is that procedural leather? If so, how is it made? It kind of looks like Voronoi texture, but the bumps in between the grain lines are more rounded than what I could achieve in Blender
Many things could go wrong if you do it for the first time. It works 100% if you do all the steps from the video. This method works also for other objects you have to array to follow the curve. Most important is applying scale on object and curve, setting the origin points on the same location and correct order of modifiers.
@@notorioushax It doesnt´, ive tried for months, this thing never works, blender should redesign this tool once and for all. I could do it on Maya, 3Dsmax, C4d, but never on blender, i don´t know why.
This was incredibly helpful. Thank you
Perfect, thank you
Wow, I think I am smelling the leather , very good 👍

It is PBR material (photo scanned genuine leather made seamless).
@@ItMightBeWorse Is that a free texture? Where to get it?It looks very good.
Thank you so much! Can I ask where you got the leather material from?
Probably somewhere here: ambientcg.com/list
All textures here are Creative Commons CC0
thx
I must be doing something wrong here, I cannot get this to work at all.
