DJ BIS 🔴 What Is Islam? ⚠️
🔴 Islam is not just another religion.
🔵 It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham.
🔴 Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God.
🔵 It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone.
🔴 It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine.
🌍 The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as:
📖 { “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4)[4] 📚
🔴 Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus.
🔵 Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him.

I'd try to exploit 2 things:
    1. the quality of the forward swept wings to not drop a tip at stall.
    2. the "box effect" of sponsoons placed at wing tips, that prevents the air to escape laterally over the wing tip, from underneath to the top of the wings due to the pressure difference. Preventing that pressure loss greatly enhances the efficiency of the air cushion trapped between the ground and the wing.
You need your vehicle to be penalised, by stalling, every time it wants to gain height. So you give it just enough throttle to sustain lift in ground effect, and when it tries to rise, it will stall immediately. But only the roots of the wings will stall (because they're swept forward), and the tips not, thus keeping the wings level. It will not drop a tip, it will not touch ground (or water). The nose will gently bob down, and the vehicle will lay on its cushion of air again. Basically, there are two negative feedback processes at play: when it tries to rise, is penalised by stalling, and when it tries to land, is penalised by the sudden increase in the air cushion's efficiency.

    • @TekAutomatica
      @TekAutomatica 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Its the way the centre of pressure moves as the wing leaves ground effect - not quite the same as a wing stalling in freestream air.

I've been wanting to make one for a while. From previous reading, there are a couple things you can do to improvement performance.
First, the ground effect height is directly related to wingspan. Making a wider wingspan will increase the ground effect altitude.
Also, the wing tip height in relation to the body make a significant difference. The tips lower the effective overall height. Look at the Boeing Pelican, Caspian Sea Monster (Ekranoplan), and Flarecraft. Their wingtip pontoons weren't only for floation, they were to increase the height of the effective ground effect height.
To operate best, you should design for an altitude where the body/fuselage is as high as possible, while still in ground effect. For this kind of application, aim for keeping everything off the snow, ground, or water. If you need a 20 degree roll for turning, make sure that won't put the wingtip into the ground.
Look at the "Flarecraft". Their pontoons are inboard about half way, and low. When turning, the entire outboard part of that wing is parallel to the ground, again creating ground effect lift.
If you were feeling *really* ambitious, you could actuate those outboard wing segments, keeping them at the same angle relative to the ground, regardless of the aircraft's attitude. Look at the XB-70 Valkyrie, specifically the articulating wingtips. It was doing the same thing, but riding the supersonic shock wave.
There is a ton of exploring that can be done with that. I'm honestly surprised that we don't have more ground effect vehicles, considering how much is saved while operating them. They don't need a robust buoyant fuselage, full size airplane wings, nor anywhere near the same required thrust.

It "leaks" as you probably know. From the ends when it does the gradual turns. Having "skis" or bigger endplates fixes that probably. Keep it up, fun to watch

It's interesting to see these vehicles in operation. I was fascinated by the Russian experiments with it decades back. It's funny seeing something with a bunch of big engines and tiny wings designed to barely lift off the ground.

Awesome video I came here from a skirtless hovercraft video and guess what I learnt something new and interesting today. All my rc stuff are cars. This video certainly tickles my curiosity on the concept 👍👌👏💡🤓
    Thank you

Try introducing a small amount of under-concavity [under-cut] to the wing. Design the under-cut from the wing tip and back in as far as you can manage with materials. A good rule of thumb is maintaining a 1/10 ratio of under-cut to cord. Make sure there is NO under-cut near the pontoon as measured from wing-tip-outboard within a ratio of ~5/8 the cord as measured at the middle of the pontoon. Undercutting a wing too close to the pontoon can result in unwanted tip-stall characteristics at ground-effect-cruising speeds.
In terms of pontoons, try introducing a step design. The general rule of thumb is 1/3 to the front, 2/3 step up in the rear. Based on experience, if you're trying for a high efficiency skimmer, start at 1/3{}2/3 and slice off some material (incrementally).
Your prop angle looks very good for a start. NOTE that as you decrease surface drag (with under-concavity and pontoon stepping) you will need/want to decrease your prop angle to achieve maximum ground effect loft and efficiency.

Nice. Yeah, another way to demonstrate ground effect is to hover any R/C heli at eye level, note the throttle used, and then go to an inch off the ground and you'll see a huge difference in the amount of power used.

Yes and it works at the ceiling too. It's easy to accidentally get sucked up into the ceiling though.

It really looks like something that could be used in deserts, with additional solar panels on the wings

It would be a cool idea to make the hydrofoil pull the plane down somewhat. This would mean that an equilibrium of lift from the wings and downward force from the hydrofoil would be met due to the increasing ground effect the lower it flew.

you should put some hydrophobic coating on the floats to make them almost frictionless with both the water and the snow. Also maybe integrate a closed loop system with your flight controller that always keeps it level by controlling the control surfaces. It would be much faster than you could control it and would be far more level than any human could ever make it.

On the bigger crafts, I have seen they bend the wings inward, trapping more air and giving it more stability when close to surface
