Napoli was a 2nd division team before Maradona came along and he led them to multiple Serie A titles. We have never seen a better player before or after him. I just feel privileged to be alive to see this incredible player in his prime. Best ever with no doubt at all.

But i really doubt he would be the player he was in our times. Look at Messi and Ronaldo, 2 fucking godly machines and they still sometimes can go missing from time to time because teams are way more tactical now ; better prepared physically, mentally, tactically and the players have huge paychecks. Don't forget how easy it is to see matches of the next opponent and study them, position by position , when they overlap , how the pass, the pressing they do.
