@@Libzalii pele? Are you kidding me? He isn't even better than Ronaldinho and you are comparing him with Maradona? Pele played easy fútbol btw no hate but he isn't even close to Maradona sorry just my opinion
@@Libzalii Pele: “Maradona is incomparable” Pele himself put an end to this comparison. Diego Maradona comes from the golden age of world football, defenders literally broke the legs and cards were very rare (which is why Maradona from 23 year old onwards played the rest of his career with -30% mobility of the ankle of his favorite foot) not to mention the stone balls and never perfectly round and the rough fields never perfectly flat, he showed the world the impossible. Modern football from the 1980s to this day is x2 faster than the football that Pele played (in the Brazilian championship of the 1960s, among other things.) Please, don't compare El Diez to anyone, as Pele says. Because Diego is Diego, inhuman genius, all the rest are good players.
@@Libzalii I’m sorry to disappoint you, but Pele meant the comparison with him, and with any other player. He clearly stated that they cannot compare Diego to him or anyone else because Diego is incomparable. However I respect your thinking, but I advise you to study the past of a discipline you love. Let them tell you, watch entire matches from the past yourself, do something friend, for respect and love of this sport. Maradona after winning the 1986 World Cup alone, for the first time in the history of Napoli he won 2 league titles, an european cup, cups and super cups! From 1986 to 1990. Get better informed! And they stole him the 1990 World Cup final and the 1994 World Cup too !!! Also find out about the cards of that era and find out for yourself why Diego Maradona is considered the most beaten-up footballer in history. There was no referee protection against the best defenders all time! Maradona's technique and motor intelligence was unparalleled, certain plays have never been replicated by anyone in history. Some goals still remain unexplained, they go against the laws of physics. And then tell me which other player in history, after receiving a violent foul, stood up as if nothing had happened with the ball attached to his foot or invented something from the ground. None, only one, Diego Armando Maradona.
Putting everything together, such as era, state of pitches, lack of protection, technology, balls boots etc and players he played along side, I don't think there is ANY doubt he was and always will be the greatest of all time.
Nobody loved that round thing like him. No one will...and the round thing loved him in return. Diego - beautiful - extraordinary - magical 💎⚽️ gonna miss you forever Fluff ❤️🕊

Yeah I remember watching him blatantly cheat and get away with it by conning the ref and then having the audacity to admit to it after the match and stating it was the "hand of god". I despise him, he was an overweight drug addict.
@@OblivionGate Or you could, if you can get past the tin-pot attitude, be more aggravated by the incompetent attempt at a defensive clearance by Steve Hodge that put the ball in the English box; then the even more incompetently embarassing attempt at goal-keeping from a 6ft Peter Shilton that failed to do his job, failed to out jump a 5.5ft Maradona, and do what he should've done - dominate Maradona for size and catch the ball. The utterly inept goal-keeping from Shilton is the most criminal aspect of the whole affair.
@@TheGeezer30 I suppose if I wanted to defend the fact that Primadonna cheated I could see it that way but a cheats a cheat whichever way you look at it... And he was also coked out of his head in most matches he played so not only is he a cheat but a drug addict cheat at that.
@@OblivionGate I ain't defending Maradona, and cheat he did, but the incompetent goal-keeping give him the opportunity. All Shilton had to do was dominate, with his size, and both hands, a 5.5ft midgit coke head, and failed miserably. But he was given the opportunity to stick his hand in by two moments of incompetent English defending.
What Diego could do with a football is absolutely God given! Insane skills, mastery and artistry! I simply don’t believe that Pelé or Messi can compete with Diego when it comes to the GOAT.
The likes of Messi and Ronaldo have benefited because football has favoured attacking players since rules were tightened around 2009. Maradona and Pele will be the greatest purely because of what they achieved and the time they achieved it in.
I agree. When he was touching a ball the feeling I have observing him is that he was clearly transcending the commonly perceived 3d reality and moving (himself and the ball) into a different one. And I will not indulge in baseless, child-minded hate against Maradona because he took an opportunity given to him by Two moments of incompetent English defending. @@Libzalii pele? Are you kidding me? He isn't even better than Ronaldinho and you are comparing him with Maradona? Pele played easy fútbol btw no hate but he isn't even close to Maradona sorry just my opinion
No hate to anyone, Ronaldinho is my third favourite Brazilian
@@Libzalii Pele: “Maradona is incomparable” Pele himself put an end to this comparison. Diego Maradona comes from the golden age of world football, defenders literally broke the legs and cards were very rare (which is why Maradona from 23 year old onwards played the rest of his career with -30% mobility of the ankle of his favorite foot) not to mention the stone balls and never perfectly round and the rough fields never perfectly flat, he showed the world the impossible. Modern football from the 1980s to this day is x2 faster than the football that Pele played (in the Brazilian championship of the 1960s, among other things.)
Please, don't compare El Diez to anyone, as Pele says.

Shilton's slovenly effort gave Maradona the opportunity, and Maradona took it. And I will not indulge in baseless, child-minded hate against Maradona because he took an opportunity given to him by Two moments of incompetent English defending.
Shilton, being 6ft, and allowed to dominate his box using his hands, was incompetent in allowing any notion of being bamboozled. Shilton should've out jumped Maradona, used his bigger size to dominate him, and used both hands. Instead of doing the basics he made a pathetis effort of a jump trying to punch the ball. But he didn't do his job, he failed, in that moment, to be the best man to ball, and he had all the advantages against Maradona to do so, this must be recognised, and this recongnition sits totally outside of whether Maradona is a cheat or not.
