yuqi wrote "everytime" couple of years ago thinking about minnie and it was about to be in one of gidle's albums but didn't end there so yuqi wanted it in her solo one and asked minnie to sing it with her 🥺..

Everytime is clearly yuqi and Minnie's friendship from pre debut till now
This album is sooooo good!🔥🔥
It has everything! Some nice soft songs like "could it be" and "everything", badass songs like "drink it up", "red rover" and "On clap", and uplifting songs like "freak" and "my way"
Honestly i enjoyed this album so so much, like this is already in my top5 albums of the year, and this is not even a group album!
During the album showcase, Yuqi said she wrote Everytime about 2 years ago thinking about Minnie and after letting Minnie listen to it, she asked her to sing it together🥺
because of the time, Neverlands were guessing that she wrote it during their hiatus when Yuqi made a very emotional Instagram post back then about how she wasn't feeling well and Minnie left a comment under her post that said "Call me"... I remember how the whole fandom was in SHAMBLES when Yuqi made that post... they were all in different countries and going through a really hard time so thinking about their friendship just makes this song 10 times more emotional for me 😢
Also, the whole rabbit saga that's going on in this album is kind of like an inside joke 😂😂 Yuqi has LOTS OF jellycat rabbit plushies in various colors and sizes which she calls them "qiqi" and she brings atleast one of them basically everywhere with her. there was a small Qiqi in the car with her in the Could it be MV and then the Giant Qiqi in freak and just all sorts of Qiqis in the concept photos, album design, album cover, Merchandise etc...
She even gifted qiqi plushies to fans that attended the music show recording 😂😂
"Could it be" is the song Yuqi sings during her solo stage on tour. She plays that sparkly guitar you saw while she sings the song... and you are right... the song is about "wanderlust" and traveling. The candles are magical to grant wishes (as shown in a teaser video for the album/song).
lexie liu is worth checking out. she has a lot of great songs. diablo, fortuna, magician.. metropolis.. you wouldnt regret reacting to her

And you right, Yuqi think about her friendship with Minnie since they 1st met when wrote 'Everytime' . Minnie is the 1st friend when she came to Korea,
And you should her live all songs in this album and in the past in FAN Showcase that Minnie is MC.
This album is a masterpiece, I added all the sounds to my playlist, I listen to it on repeat, thank you for this great video ! You understood the meaning of 'Everything.' Yuqi wrote it with Minnie in mind.

Everytime is such a MiQi song! Yuqi thinking of Minnie when writing it makes even more sense if you were there for the "🌧 - Call me" interaction they had on IG during hiatus era 😭😭

Loool omg how did I miss that!! I listen to More all the time 🤣 maybe I didn’t put two and two together because I was hung up on her being a rapper and she didn’t rap in More (as far as I know)

Also, can’t wait for you to get into the “I Love” album, but make sure when you listen to it you listen to it from end to beginning, so from Dark (X)file to Nxde, if you listen to it that way you hear the story differently and Soyeon herself said that the album is intended to be listened to that way. It’s so cool that the songs on that album are connected. But no rush for that I understand it’s a lot, but just wanted you know for when you’re ready to listen to it so it’s not another Queencard-allergy type thing lol 🩷
You should check Lexie's solo work. She also writes, produces all of her own music (something like Soyeon). She can rap and sing realy well. She has videos for most of her songs. You should check her ALGTR, Manta or Fortuna+Magican (cause its one story) from her latest album. What is cool she sings in chinesese, english and spanish and there are always subtitles in her videos. She made videos or visualisers for most of the songs (i recommend shadow, diablo, Metropolis or 3.14159) from her latest albums ("gone gold" and "the happy star") so there is a lot to check. Lexie also sang a little part in KDA song with Soyeon and Miyeon, she starred in some chinesese tv programme with Yuqi (and she really can sing live).
Thanks for the reaction! I would guess that Yuqi did most of these songs in English (same as Giant and Bonnie and Clyde) as it was the best way to reach her Korean, Chinese and international fans.
Minnies album will come this year some time!

In a interview with Yuqi, Minnie said that her album MAYBE will be release this winter bc her tone suits winter more. Yuqi energy is perfect match for summer song and vibe so they decided for Yuqi to released the album first while actually this is Minne's turn for solo time

Yes indeed!!! Idk about the snack / K-beauty prices compared to something like AXIA Station, but the k-pop album pricing is definitely better at LightUpK. I’m curious though how quickly they get their stock in, since I’d be willing to pay a bit more to get an album there on release day! Not as much as Sunrise though 🥴 their prices are bananas

Shuhua's solo debut is just not happening. There's a reason why Lee Mujin's Service invited every single gidle member except Shuhua. She simply cannot sing an entire song by herself.
But I think there's a real chance for her to become an actress in the future. She would be the perfect female lead in a lot of Taiwanese films and dramas.
