Thank you for your reaction to my guide! I realize it's not the best out there, but I'm just a highschooler who made it for fun because I wanted more people to get into I-DLE. Because of this, I did exclude some very interesting and important facts which are better covered in "The Rise of (G)I-DLE" so I recommend reacting to that one as well. As this guide was made in July, some of the information is outdated, like Shuhua did end up dying her hair for the first time ever in NXDE, where she went full blonde. Soojin was falsely accused of being a bully, if you search for further information on the case, there is enough evidence to clearly prove her innocent, as the main accuser even admitted that she was not aware if Soojin was a part of the group that bullied her, and the other accusers were all exposed as middle-aged men. As for your curiosity of their gender breakdown, the I-DLE fandom has a very big LGBTQ+ community, when South Korean lesbians were rating korean girl group members, I-DLE members such as Soojin and Shuhua tend to appear in the top 5. They also have plenty of non-binary fans (which I am one of them).
Yeah, to add on to what @minitry said towards the end, I think ( )I-DLE is one of those groups that has an even fanbase between all genders/sexualities simply because the members are pretty outspoke for equality. Plus it doesn't hurt that the girls from day one were allowed to be individuals, not a character or gimmick. So it's really easy to sort of align yourself with them because they feel relatable. From their on stage presence to behind-the-scenes/live streams, they always are the selves they want to be at that time, and rarely apologize for it. I think, like MAMAMOO, ( )I-DLE are trail blazers in a way, showing the 4th gen that they can be themselves and still be successful. You're starting to get a lot of younger groups now who are doing this, trying to show their true colors and getting more involved in production. Also, random trivia, StayC are totally fangirls of ( )I-DLE.... even though they too are idols, lol.

For instance: --Miyeon is friends with a lot of idols due to her MC jobs, but the big ones are Sana (TWICE), Lisa (Blackpink), and Chuu (ex-Loona). People even ship Miyeon and Sana together because they have similar personalities. Miyeon is still friendly all the Blackpink members given she used to be a trainee with them but it seems her friendship with Lisa is the one that's more public. --Minnie is friends with Lisa, Jihyo and Mina (TWICE), Sorn (ex-CLC) and BamBam (Got7) --Shuhua is friends with Tzuyu (TWICE), Elkie (ex-CLC), and Handong (Dreamcatcher). --Yuqi collects idols like they're Pokemon. To give a bit more dephts: - (G)I-DLE is written as (여자)아이들 in Korean, with the romanization you got (yeoja) aideul, which is translated to "(women) children". - When talking to intenational audiences, they are oftenly saying (G)I-DLE whereas when they are talking to Korean audience they are "droping the G" and call themselves "I-DLE/aideul". The reason behind that is because they never understood why Cube decided to add the "G/Yeoja", they jokingly said that it might be because they wanted to do a BG named (B)I-DLE. The group voiced that they would like to drop the "G" when their group name had enough fame to be found without it, they dropped it for concept purpose during "Tomboy" and now Neverland is usually calling them "I-DLE". Also Soyeon voiced multiple time that music doesn't have gender and that she believed that it is not because your a man or a woman that you can or can't do something. Which explain why the group, most of the time, drop "Yeoja" when introducing themselves to Korean and why it is not necessarily the case with Int audience since the "G" isn't necessarily implicing Girl/Women. To finish with how you should pronounce their group name, you can name then (G)I-DLE or I-DLE both are good. The groups themselves said they were fine with both.
This is simply not true. They refer to themselves as Idle in Korea but on their international tour this year and in every English speaking media appearance they refer to themselves as G I-DLE.

There has been multiple times where Shuhua spoke up against the haters on Vlives or even against some things that happen in her own country. I will always remember her seeing some hate comments and jsut going "then go away !" out loud. Such a queen.
idle sounds like the Korean word '아이들' which means 'kids' and it's where their fandom name 'Neverland' comes from in Neverland, they are 아이들 forever :)
Quick little note about Miyeon being a YG trainee... She actually part of the original group of girls training to become Black Pink. And if i recall correctly, Miyeon was the last one to leave YG before Black Pink's debut. She landed in I-DLE, which, I think, was a better fit.

(G)I-DLE is usually said by non-fans (at least that’s what I witnessed) - Yes their Queendom performances are greater than great. Especially „Put it straight“ and „lion“. But their cover of „Fire“ is reactworthy too -Yes most Nevies (also non-nevies) are on Soojin‘s side. She was recently proven innocent (She was kicked out because of an alleged bullying scandal during school), so it’s just unfair. You can see that all members are salty about it since they have subliminally dissed Cube (their company) a few times now. Shuhua especially since she was also the closest to Soojin as you accurately analysed. They also express their love for Soojin in hidden messages. For example in their recent song „My bag“ Soyeon sings „Red FIVE diamonds in my bag“. Since she symbolically carries the bag she doesn’t mean herself and therefore counts Soojin as one of the diamonds although she had already left the group by then. I my opinion, the vocal line of Minnie, Miyeon, and Yuqi is the best in kpop, after to Mamamoo. I also have gidle in my top 3 kpop gg's (Blackpink, Mamamoo, gidle). I saw gidle at the Warfield in San Francisco this summer and they introduced themselves as "G" Idle and all the promo material also said "G" Idle. We have a lot of love for Soojin still and I don't think that will ever change. If you don't know she was accused of having bullied an actor when they went to the same school, but it later came out that the actor wasn't even sure if it was Soojin who did it, they never spoke to each other in person (that's still a ?) not to mention they were 12-13 years old. I'm so sad she couldn't come back and continue i-dle. Obviously we can't know 100% what happened and if leaving was her decision rather than someone else's. I just wish her the best, hope she's doing what she wants and is happy.
16:05 I recommend checking out more Purple Kiss! They are *super* involved in the making of their music. Not just writing and composing, they also choreograph a lot of their songs. A few members are more involved than others (Chaein and Yuki the most) but all 6 have writing and composing credits. Also their bsides just slap. Such an amazing discography
Yes, you should do a K/DA specific reaction. Partly because K/DA is really good, but mostly because I know you love Soyeon. K/DA's original song was Popstar (th-cam.com/video/UOxkGD8qRB4/w-d-xo.html) and you should definitely start with that. All of K/DA's songs are good, and "More" is appropriately titled. I definitely wanted more from K/DA by the time it came out. I also think you should check out some of Soyeon's solo work and collaborations. Soyeon released "Jelly" and "Idle Song" before (G)I-Dle debuted (and Soojin taking off the fox-mask at the beginning of the "Latata" music video is a reference to those videos). In Soyeon's roles they forgot the mention "Rap god." I feel like that one's important. That competition show Soyeon was appearing in there is Unpretty Rapstar volume 3, and you might consider reacting to that at some point. PS: A note on (G)I-dle's name. It is my understanding is that they were originally I-Dle (because Soyeon wants to be Peter Pan) and a few months after debute decided to stylize it (G)I-dle in English to emphasize they were girls. They dropped the (G) during "I never Die"/"Tomboy" promotions, but most times I've heard them introduce themselves in English they pronounce the "G", whereas when they refer to themselves in Korean it's just I-Dle. PPS: Since you asked at the end, my favorite (G)I-dle songs are "Light my fire" and "Uh-Oh." LC, drop the g. They prefer simply i-dle. You noted that they each have their own style and vocal aspect. Soyeon's great genius is writing songs to fit all that and use the members like an orchestra.
Korea has a big issue with bullying and the culture that evolved with it is with extreme hate over those who are even only mentioned to be a bully, you are condemned as such even if you are able to show proof some survive some don't in our case with Soojin unfortunately she did not, a lot of int. people kinda find it hard to realize the difference in culture and the impact of it. Many mistakes were done, yes.. but so were the nice things until the end they fought but it was not enough; best to take time and research the events that transpired, I rather neglect the bandwagon of hate knowing I know things factually and the circumstances of it and I hope the same case goes to you a new fan and content creator.

This is simply not true. They refer to themselves as Idle in Korea but on their international tour this year and in every English speaking media appearance they refer to themselves as G I-DLE.

few days ago a behind the scenes of recording Nxde was dropped, you can check it out if you want to know about their work process more. there are also old videos about how they recorded Hwaa chinese version under Yuqi's directions, because she was the one to translate and fit lyrics from korean to chinese and how Soyeon was working on I Made album.
There has been multiple times where Shuhua spoke up against the haters on Vlives or even against some things that happen in her own country.
I will always remember her seeing some hate comments and jsut going "then go away !" out loud. Such a queen.

Quick little note about Miyeon being a YG trainee... She actually part of the original group of girls training to become Black Pink. And if i recall correctly, Miyeon was the last one to leave YG before Black Pink's debut. She landed in I-DLE, which, I think, was a better fit.

Soyeon is listed as 5 feet, 2 inches tall and of course she is a skinny-minnie so she appears to be a lightweight. She LOOKS really really tiny but muscle is a thing. She weighs more than it looks like she would, because she really is a dancer. She is actually ALL muscle.

A few comments to things you said:
- Nevies (Neverlands) usually say I-DLE. (G)I-DLE is usually said by non-fans (at least that’s what I witnessed)
- Yes their Queendom performances are greater than great. Especially „Put it straight“ and „lion“. But their cover of „Fire“ is reactworthy too
-Yes most Nevies (also non-nevies) are on Soojin‘s side. She was recently proven innocent (She was kicked out because of an alleged bullying scandal during school), so it’s just unfair. You can see that all members are salty about it since they have subliminally dissed Cube (their company) a few times now. Shuhua especially since she was also the closest to Soojin as you accurately analysed. They also express their love for Soojin in hidden messages. For example in their recent song „My bag“ Soyeon sings „Red FIVE diamonds in my bag“. Since she symbolically carries the bag she doesn’t mean herself and therefore counts Soojin as one of the diamonds although she had already left the group by then. The entire rap verse in „Tomboy“ is also based on Soojin of you pay close attention to it. It‘s really subtle but once you know you know. Their b-side „Escape“ is also rumoured to be about Soojin just like their new title track Nxde (Monroe was Soojin’s idol).
- I totally agree with that you like when members produce and write their own songs! It makes their „work“ even more enjoyable. Regarding this you could maybe react to Minnie’s and Yuqis self-produces songs which are mostly b-sides.
-Further songs you should react to: definitely Hwaa!!! But also Hann, Señorita, My bag!!! and their queendom performances.
Learn Way S1 made Yuqi my Ult Bias. I highly recommand watching it, even if just for yourself. My suggestion would be to watch My Bag now that you know the members.
I my opinion, the vocal line of Minnie, Miyeon, and Yuqi is the best in kpop, after to Mamamoo. I also have gidle in my top 3 kpop gg's (Blackpink, Mamamoo, gidle). I saw gidle at the Warfield in San Francisco this summer and they introduced themselves as "G" Idle and all the promo material also said "G" Idle. I saw many videos of this year's world tour, JUST ME, and they always introduced themselves as "G" Idle, except when performing in Korea. I enjoy your reactions, especially to gidle.

Soyeon is SMALL 1,57 according to data, but we have never see her in real life, could be shorter.
We have a lot of love for Soojin still and I don't think that will ever change. If you don't know she was accused of having bullied an actor when they went to the same school, but it later came out that the actor wasn't even sure if it was Soojin who did it, they never spoke to each other in person (that's still a ?) not to mention they were 12-13 years old. I'm so sad she couldn't come back and continue i-dle. Obviously we can't know 100% what happened and if leaving was her decision rather than someone else's. I just wish her the best, hope she's doing what she wants and is happy.
Outside Korea, they presented themselves as I-DLe only during the "i never die" album promotion. Since the I LOVE album, they're (G)I-DLE again 🙂

16:05 I recommend checking out more Purple Kiss! They are *super* involved in the making of their music. Not just writing and composing, they also choreograph a lot of their songs. A few members are more involved than others (Chaein and Yuki the most) but all 6 have writing and composing credits.

Yes, you should do a K/DA specific reaction. Partly because K/DA is really good, but mostly because I know you love Soyeon. K/DA's original song was Popstar (th-cam.com/video/UOxkGD8qRB4/w-d-xo.html) and you should definitely start with that. All of K/DA's songs are good, and "More" is appropriately titled. I definitely wanted more from K/DA by the time it came out. I also think you should check out some of Soyeon's solo work and collaborations. Soyeon released "Jelly" and "Idle Song" before (G)I-Dle debuted (and Soojin taking off the fox-mask at the beginning of the "Latata" music video is a reference to those videos). In Soyeon's roles they forgot the mention "Rap god." I feel like that one's important. That competition show Soyeon was appearing in there is Unpretty Rapstar volume 3, and you might consider reacting to that at some point.
PS: A note on (G)I-dle's name. It is my understanding is that they were originally I-Dle (because Soyeon wants to be Peter Pan) and a few months after debute decided to stylize it (G)I-dle in English to emphasize they were girls. They dropped the (G) during "I never Die"/"Tomboy" promotions, but most times I've heard them introduce themselves in English they pronounce the "G", whereas when they refer to themselves in Korean it's just I-Dle.
PPS: Since you asked at the end, my favorite (G)I-dle songs are "Light my fire" and "Uh-Oh." I'm not going to say my bias right off, but it took me over a year of being a fan of (G)I-dle before I settled on a bias, and IM(NS)HO, they're such a talented group that even once you pick a bias, every single other member will constantly be a bias-wrecker.

While many people refer to her like “yooky”, she has never, to my knowledge, ever referred to herself so. Korea has a big issue with bullying and the culture that evolved with it is with extreme hate over those who are even only mentioned to be a bully, you are condemned as such even if you are able to show proof some survive some don't in our case with Soojin unfortunately she did not, a lot of int. people kinda find it hard to realize the difference in culture and the impact of it. Many mistakes were done, yes.. but so were the nice things until the end they fought but it was not enough; best to take time and research the events that transpired, I rather neglect the bandwagon of hate knowing I know things factually and the circumstances of it and I hope the same case goes to you a new fan and content creator.
Fun fact about miyeon while she was a yg trainee she nearly debuted in black pink before leaving yg and going to cube. Personally I’m so glad she’s in gidle because I think she fits the concept so well and I love her ofc.
