Harry's family was responsible for introducing him to Meghan in the first place. The Royals paid for Harry to join an "exclusive" dating site, based in NYC, for the rich and famous. For some reason, Harry was matched with a divorced 'D' list, US actress with the all the charm of a great white shark. It's as though he was being set up to fail.

Harry has always played a part, where he was portrayed as someone and something he was not. He was given credit for things he never could have accomplished on his own. And in fact, didn’t accomplish. Such as becoming a helicopter pilot. Or being instrumental in creating and leading the Invictus Games. He had a nasty temperament as a child and young man. He’s the fatal flaw in a hereditary monarchy.

10 years after escaping from a narcissist, the closest thing i can compare the experience to is being in a cult. The love bombing in the beginning,being iolated from friends and family and indoctrination of a set of new ideas. This is followed by abuse and gaslighting. The threats of the consequences of leaving became my only reason to stay (my family would be murdered and he would slit my throat).
Isolation from friends and family is a tactic of narcissists and sociopaths.
Harry has missed the one chance he will ever get to redeem himself. Accepting this award puts the final nail into the self-made coffin. No way back

Based on past precedent, if King Charles doesn't revoke the dukedom or Harry doesn't renounce it, she'd probably be Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. Either way, if they divorce, no more HRH for her. Sarah, Duchess of York, is the example that comes to mind.
He could put it in abeyance ... if he doesn't use it, she can't either. When she remarries, he can use it again if he wants to. Not a fan of Harry's but if he remarries, there will be a new Duchess of Sussex. Megz won't like that but too bad for her.

When you are a victim of Narcissistic abuse ( Harry is no angel but he is HER victim), it's as if your brain has been rewired and that doesn't go away or stop when you walk out the door. It can take years before you actually start to feel like yourself again. When you look back you are stunned at what you put up with, agreed with and did to others as well. Learn all you can about Narcissism and keep your eyes wide open when dating.....as well as distancing from those who you see those traits in....
Literally, Harry could get on a plane, rent a place in England, and happily play polo the rest of his life. Meghan, however, needs Harry to stay relevant, she she will hold on as tightly as she can to Harry.

My guess is that the Duke of Westminster had to make a choice. He is friends with both brothers. He chose royalty, and the one who is in the UK. Makes sense to me. I wasn’t at all surprised they were not invited… Who wants that circus at your wedding!

My brother married a Markle. From having a wide circle of friends, the first five years of his marriage saw all of his friends drop off one by one, starting incidentally with his very best friends, simultaneously causing constant family issues. Once the friends were gone, she upped creating family conflict, escalating those over the next two years until they cut that relationship completely and haven’t seen them for over 15 years. Didn’t even put in an appearance at his parents funeral ( but plenty of legal activity around the will!) Social media messages or anniversary wishes from the family totally ignored so no contact whatsoever any more. So sad to see it happen to someone you love, or loved. Can’t do anything about it.
And it happens so slick. Sad.

We have a good friend who got married rather hastily. We were unable to attend the wedding, which was in his new wife's town, quite far away from us. Anyway, when we didn't hear back from them for six months, we merely inquired if our wedding gift reached them. It was an expensive gift, and we were going to replace it if they didn't receive it. Anyway, our friend's wife wrote to us, and said, "Thank you. Who are you to us anyway? We don't really know you." Suffice it to say, I haven't heard from our friend for the past three years except for a lengthy Christmas missive that his wife writes, and that basically complains about our friend. She says she talked him into taking cooking classes because she wants him to do all the cooking, and she wants him to take marriage classes and go to counseling (alone) because she says he needs to learn to be a better husband. Sorry for the rant, but it felt good to vent!
Sadly, it's not an uncommon situation. Hopefully, one day your friend will return to his true friends and family.

Most people try to be friendly towards our partners' friends even if we are not crazy about them. I think Meghan deliberately isolated Harry because that gave her more power over him. She was rude and sulked around his friends. She criticized them. That is not a loving way to be.
Again his choice. He could have met up with his mates separately - but he couldn't be bothered. Too busy taking drugs and paying for fake awards
I suspect the people who care if Harry is bored with any facet of his life is zero. He has chosen NOT to do anything meaningful with his life. He could get on a plane today and go deal with the African Parks situation, then go to Jamaica to help with cleanup. He could stop buying awards and go hand out food to the homeless vets. But he won’t. He will continue to live his self entitled lifestyle treating the real workers with his condescending and pompous words and actions. His choice.

I think he's beginning to see the light. She has done nothing but destroy his life and everything he held dear. She is a selfish nobody who will always be a nobody. Seeing that she refuses to see her dying father might have been part of what's woken him up. That, plus seeing how the public views him in such a negative light. Harry’s former mates aren’t going to take any chance of having private conversations repeated publicly.
His military colleagues won’t have anything to do with him because he wrote things about his military service that, while likely not even close to the truth, could’ve painted a target on the backs of all of those in his unit.
Harry had a choice.
He dropped his friends for Meghan.
He could’ve been a man and said “NO, I am going to go out with my friends to catch up and you are not invited”. This isn’t on Meghan, as much as I hate to say it, this is on Harry.
Doesn't mean he can't recognize his mistakes and set about righting the wrongs. We all screw up, in one way or another. I made a huge mistake in marrying my second husband after I was widowed at a young age. It wasn't until we were married a couple of years that I realized he had an addiction to prescribed pain pills and tranquilizers and everything under the sun. People can hide their true selves for only so long. Once I realized the problem and the extent of it, I also had to deal with "you should have...." or "you got married too quickly" or "didn't you SEE the signs?" type comments. I recognized my own mistakes, but I couldn't rewind and have a do over. All I could do was learn from it, and move forward making better decisions. I gave him an ultimatum....get clean and stay clean, or we are leaving. He chose drugs, and we left. I've never regretted making that choice. He will remain stuck in Meghan quicksand until he decides to take HIS life back. She was the fuel behind a lot of his behaviors, just as my toxic ex made me into a. person I knew I never wanted to be.
Even if he is bored, he should not be trusted. He will probably spend the next few years gathering information to star this fiasco all over again.
Harry if your bored take your (kids) out to the park. Take them shopping. Buy them a ice cream. Take to visit Mr. MARKLE ? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

My Sis in law was married to a man that gradually alienated us each before she had NO family around her. He was verbally and mentally abused her for about 18 years. Took a long time to get her life back and to be confident in herself.

Divorcing a Narcissist is one of the most difficult and painful things to do. They weaponize EVERYTHING, and that will include his children. It will be high conflict, nasty and very very hurtful. (I've lived this.) I don't wish it on anyone.

That's what I always believed. He rushed in to that marriage and thought he had found his own cathrine .Not realizing that markel was nothing like Catherine . Harry got mad at with his family and friends because they could all see that markle was trouble and when they tried to warn harry he got angry at his family and friends and decided he was going to give up everything in his life and follow her to California to prove everyone wrong and I think markle and doria helped convince harry that his family and friends were against both of them and he decided to go rouge and betray his family , friends and countrymen convinced they did like markel because of her heritage. Now he's waking up and one day he is going to regret ever meeting her and will want nothing to do with her. Harry will end up hating markle . She basically came into his life and turned it upside down. I doubt markle ever really loved Harry. Markle loved the titles, power , fame and wealth that harry brought to the table . If markle truly loved Harry he would still be in the UK with his friends and family and would never had to sacrifice the things he loved and enjoyed .

A very familiar story line. I went through a couple of them until i stayed with one too long and realized that my food was possibly being "manipulated" also. Still so many people fail to understand what dangerous individuals they can be. Destructive or even terminal to ones life one way or the other, even when not present.
I am fairly sure the RF will never welcome either of the dastardly duo back. They have broken trust and once broken it is extremely difficult to mend it. The king might want to but William...I really don't think so. He is a very intelligent man who is fiercely protective of his family. He won't allow it.
So here is an original idea...Maybe his former friends do not like HIS behavior. It does not have to have anything to do with anyone else. He is a grown man who has made his own choices, I cannot believe that this was not brought up here. The problem is that he's now being forbidden to do simple things, like be photographed with David Beckham at the Invictus event, because Meghan's gluttony for attention and suspicions about silly things like leaking information (do you think she doesn't "leak", or call paparazzis, just like Diana?) have deeply alienated everyone who was formerly close to him.
They won't divorce unless she decides to, because he has no other vision for his life, even if he's bored. And she won't dump him unless she's got a better replacement. Maybe he could violate her sense of self-importance so deeply that she'd divorce him if he did something like flaunted a lover publicly.
But he'd then come in for the full force of bad publicity from her, using her wealth of information about his negative habits and the deeply insider information about his family that she has as a potential weapon to use against him. To say nothing of the control she'll insist on over the children.
His real or imaginary boredom is irrelevant - he'll never break away from her until she gives him an unequivocal push. And that won't happen as long as she can milk his family for its publicity value and doesn't have a richer sucker lined up.

My mum always told me that a controlling person will take you away from your family/friends because they don’t want anyone to influence the control they have. It’s quite sad really to see the once loved Harry has been brainwashed into leaving everything that was important to him so she can maintain that dominance. I think Harry now sees what she is, but feels he has no way out after he heavily criticised his family. He just looks miserable all the time these days.
