    Setting a particular card as your lock screen is a great idea, stealing that. - Fantastic video, totally vibe with everything that was said. I think it helps to hear someone explain all of this in such effective yet simple terms.

    Wow! I was feeling depressed bc I can’t seem to do well in one specific Professor’s classes. And I took two with that Professor this semester. And I don’t feel good enough to be her student. I’m soooo glad I found this video! You are awesome!

    Great video, thank you! I've been feeling a bit unfocused and burnt out recently while working from home. I'm also coming out of a bit of a mental health slump. So I think the first thing I do this morning is cleansing my office space and trying to fill it with positive intentions. Burning spell candles throughout the day is also a wonderful idea! Thank you so much!

      Thanks for your comment, I’m so happy the video was helpful for you! It’s a rough time for mental health, and working from home can make that even worse, so I’m glad to help with that, even in a small way. I hope things are getting better, with work and your mental health! 💕✨

    Ok, I've seen enough of your videos to hit the subscribe button. I do have wonder though; how does a well-spoken, scholarly, broad-minded, Skeptic (with clear Humanist bents), PHD student of Religious Studies (in which I hold a humble B.A!) NOT have more views/subs? I feel like the ACA--or at least folks like Ocean Keltoi--would be thrilled to get connected with someone like yourself. I regret being such a scaredy-cat lurker, as I have painfully little clout to offer you proper introductions (though perhaps you've already considered such avenues?).
    In any case, thank you for your work! I look forward to (silently and anonymously, unless goaded into doing otherwise) learning more from you!

      Thank you so much for your really kind words, I really appreciate that! 😊 and a BA in religious studies is nothing to sniff at-there’s still a lot that goes in to earning that degree, and I’m sure you’re quite knowledgeable about the field! It would certainly be really cool to get in contact with people like Ocean Keltoi, and having more conversations with people in the religious studies/Pagan TH-cam community is definitely something I’m hoping to do in the future! And I would certainly enjoy hearing from you more on some of the topics I discuss-I’m sure you’d be able to add some interesting ideas/opinions!

    Can you tell me some easy spells for learning Spanish fluently in grammar and listening and speaking because I can't concentrate and I always forgot grammar rules and vocabulary and I want to become a translator.

    • @theskepticalwitch6611
      @theskepticalwitch6611  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve never been great at learning new languages-I struggle a lot with grammar too! I don’t necessarily have spell ideas for learning a language, but you could do something like creating a sigil for concentration out of Spanish words for things like “focus” or “learning” (there are lots of videos on TH-cam about how to make sigils), then carve the sigil into a candle and keep it burning while you work to help focus your attention. Other than that, have you tried language learning apps? I hear those can be helpful and make learning more interesting! Good luck!

    • @karmanuenes7629
      @karmanuenes7629 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Idk your level in Spanish but if you're just starting out, ditch the grammar and just focus on vocabulary. Grammar is string, if you dont have anything to tie then its useless to learn at the beginning. You'll naturally pick up the grammar the more you listen and read the language, start studying grammar once you get a good base for vocab. I recommend a good frequency dictionary that also has example sentences that way you get context learning the word and its words that people use daily. You can learn a good 80% of daily speech vocabulary, once you know about 1000-3000 words you'll be considered conversationaly fluent. It can take a few months to go through the dictionary but trust me it's life changing for a language learner once you try it :)

      I approach magic from a psychological perspective, meaning I think it’s mostly about inner transformation, not about directly affecting external reality. So while I think spells can help you with confidence, motivation and focus, they can’t just make you pass the exams. Magic is never a replacement for actually studying! Good luck with the exams 😊

    Haha people think they're so arrogant that they can make the very universe bend to their whims with words🙄

    • @theskepticalwitch6611
      @theskepticalwitch6611  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don’t agree that believing witchcraft and spells can genuinely transform reality is necessarily arrogance. I think often it comes from a sense of interconnectedness with the world, and develops out of transformative experiences. I see in your video you’re trying to discredit witchcraft without actually knowing very much at all about it. That kind of comes across as arrogance.
      Also I approach witchcraft from a predominantly psychological perspective, as do many of my viewers. For us witches, spells are largely placebos, and we use magic and witchcraft to help us transform internal states and attitudes, which in turn helps us transform the world around us. I don’t personally believe that spells can “bend” reality, but I also don’t see any point in attacking people who do. Witchcraft, whether approached from a psychological perspective or not, can be really beneficial for practitioners, and can help tremendously with things like mental well-being and overall happiness.

    • @Georg3e
      @Georg3e 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So you're saying that spells are like placebos? Because most people i talk to do NOT take it that way. They legit think they can make the universe bend to their whims by words. Why not watch my latest video discussing witchcraft!

    • @theskepticalwitch6611
      @theskepticalwitch6611  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Georg3e I know most witches don’t treat spells as placebos, but I do, and so do many of my subscribers. We’re a minority in the larger witchcraft community, but it seems a growing number of people are interested in witchcraft as a practice for inner change and personal development, rather than as something that can actually change external reality. But I also don’t really see anything wrong with believing in the reality of magic, as long as it’s not hurting anyone. Like I said, witchcraft can be really beneficial for people in many ways, regardless of whether they see it as mostly psychological or not. And I did watch some of your latest video-again, you come across as not actually knowing very much about contemporary witchcraft.

    • @Georg3e

      @@theskepticalwitch6611 then you really should watch my latest video! :)
