Thank you for this video! Spell jars are something I've always been really interested in, but I haven't done any yet because I don't have a lot of space in my tiny apartment haha. But I found a tiny jar at the dollar store the other day and now I'm super pumped to turn it into something cool.
Also I wanted to say that your blog is what inspired me to start practicing witchcraft. I've been a staunch atheist my whole life, but I've also been jealous of the spiritual fulfilment people find through religion. I thought believing in metaphysical things was a mandatory aspect of spirituality, which made spirituality straight-up impossible for me. But your blog showed me it was possible to deepen my relationship with myself and the world around me *without* compromising my skepticism. I've now been a practicing witch for several months and it's helped me so so so much. Thank you for everything that you do! Keep it up! 😁
That's great you found something that works! I love using the tiny bottles from the dollar store for these spells! They can also be made into necklaces or charms or something as well, so you could wear them or hang them from somewhere.

As an atheist Magician, I find this concept fascinating. However how I would go about it is performing the Ritual related to the spell and tweak it to infuse the jar, which would be Filled with the Ingredients of the Ritual(s), and then Become a ready to use spell cast.

Im a baby witch. I just got my first 2 crystals,
a ring (I think to help the crystals work,that’s what the Crystal lady told me) and a fossil
a few years ago I was getting bored of my altar (mine are only filled with found objects or gifted items) so when my birthday party was coming up, I requested that everyone bring me a random small object or piece of trash as a present. Something they find on their walk to my house, anything that makes them think of me, be creative but be intentional- even a piece of lint would do, I LOVED seeing what people brought me. They all ended up on my altar and I still have most of them there (the ones that didnt rot or disintegrate, that is). These kinds of things represent way more to me than anything i could buy or read about in a book

@@theskepticalwitch6611 yes, also a stone to visualize whilst talking to someone difficult. In other words, a creative space between you without even saying anything.
I would love suggestions on a spell jar to halt someone from using caustic/foul language. what things to represent - associate - correspond?
I’m not sure if I can really be of help for this, as spells for me are largely psychological, so I don’t believe any spell I do can affect someone else’s behaviours. To me this seems like the kind of thing that it’s better to discuss with the person in question, rather than relying on magic. But if you want to go ahead with it, I’d suggest using correspondences that make you think about the situation, or relate to is somehow. So for instance, maybe write down some of the words this person uses and cross them out, and put that in the jar. Or if you work with chakras, use blue crystals or other objects to represent the throat chakra/speech. But again, I think it’s better to talk to the person, and let them know that their language bothers you.

What does it mean when the cork shoots off at the end of the candle work?
I read that you have to cleanse your crystals regularly ( even when you have them on display or as a jewelry) but if I put crystals in a spell jar and seal it , then do I have to ... take them out to cleanse for them to work ? Also I love your video !✨
Thanks very much! To answer your question, I don't necessarily believe in needing to cleanse crystals, so this isn't something I personally regularly do. But, what you could do is to cleanse the crystal before you use it in the spell, and then seal it. I don't think you would need to take it out again after. Or, what a lot of people do for spell jars is they *cleanse the jar itself* before using it (often with incense, but whatever cleansing method you prefer would work too!), and then this will cleanse whatever you put in it as well. Hopefully that helps! :)

Wonderful love the question and the answer just thought I'd pop in and mentioned something that may be helpful I like to throw a little chunk of selenite in with my spell jars because it charges it similarly to the Moon once you create a jar there's no need to worry about cleansing it although I think it's wonderful to set it out under a full moon periodically but always remember when you look at the jar to remember what it was made for each ingredient why you chose those ingredients it's a powerful tool psychologically as well as spiritually so that we do not forget our intentions and constantly work towards manifesting them so honored to have come across this video and the comments🧙♀️🥰🌹😁
its rly up to preference! i cleanse my crystals but i dont find charging them does anything. If u dont think cleansing or charging does anything for you, theres no need to use them!
Can u pls make a vid where u inform about closed practices so that no baby witch does that by mistake and fall in trouble. I hv seen baby witches using honey jar spell and Falling in trouble cause they see them in witchtok. Would u consider making a vid on this?

I see Hermione as a Pop Goddess-so a figure from popular culture who takes on a kind of deity-like significance for me. I see gods and goddesses as archetypes/metaphors, so I use characters/people from popular culture in a similar way.

i actually don’t have any jars and my parents would never let me have anything “witchy” in my room. please help w/ some alternatives :(
Look up ‘hearth witch’ and ‘witch of wunderlust’ on youtube. They have great videos for closeted witches
maybe try using a plastic bag, or sachet. You could say the herbs in it are for tea or something.
I agree with just using a small bag or pouch-it doesn’t matter what you’re using to put things into, so pretty much anything you have available to you will work!

What if you don’t have wax or your parents don’t let you go my fire -??? What do you do.
You don’t need the wax seal. You don’t “need” anything specific for a spell. Just work with what you have on hand, or what you want to use.

You could even make a spell Satchel instead of a jar where you take the ingredients and put them into a little piece of cloth take all corners of the cloth and tie them together with a string tightly then you have a beautiful little spell Satchel works just as well as a spell jar or like she said there's no need to have a wax seal you could substitute glue instead if you'd like you could even put a little food coloring in with the glue in order to make it the color you'd like
