Agreed, not good for a commentator to straight up say "oh that was a mistake, he should have done this". I like the idea of "why did he make that play, here is another line and the logic behind it"
If you can find the G/W Devotion mirror match from Fate Reforged standard, I’m not remembering the tournament, that’s a peak Cedric and Patrick commentary moment. Sorry for the PTSD guys
They recently did the Regional Championships (pioneer), the title of the video is; SCGDC | MTG Regional Championships - Washington DC | Pioneer | Day 2 and the Finals starts at 9:45:26
Literally any of it. These guys set the bar for what a pair of commentators should strive for, at least in this context. Some personal go-tos for me: Any of the matches that Jeremy Bylander played that are on here. It's all the same tournament, so it shouldn't be hard to find. I find the matches interesting to begin with, but there are several moments across them that the commentary is particularly good and/or entertaining. James Newman vs Ross Mirriam. This one is a riot, mainly because of the matchup and how these two react to it. For pure entertainment value, this is probably my favorite match they ever commentated. Korie McDuffy vs Christopher Brickey in the finals. There's some pretty funny moments in here, but also some good observations about misevaluating your plan in the matchup and how this can affect your sideboarding plans.
Hey Cedric, I would pay for a class on “next level commentary”

As someone that recently found this duo, what are people's memorable games/series they called that I should watch?

As people have said, they’re just so good in general. A particular moment I remember is Patrick Sullivan’s Ravenous Chupacabra rant
@@admiralxytan1160 This is also a good one. His Reserved List rant is right up there as well.
I’m waiting for a commentator who calls it like Joey Styles calls ECW matches
OH MY GOD!
Idk corey baumeister is somehow still allowed to commentate so doesnt appear you have to be very good at it.
