The only reason I don't fight some battles is because of time. It takes less than 4 minutes to send an army to auto kill them, but it takes like 15 to fight the battle lmao. It's just a personal preference tho
I think what ruins Rome 2 is the weird 3d portraits and awful voice acting. It makes the game feel so soulless. Medieval 2 despite graphically being worse has way more charm in that the portraits were cool and stylised, and the voice acting was so full of charm and quirky character. The barbarian Rome 2 voice acting makes me want to jump off a cliff.
