Nah, why was that one of my favorite uses of Tony Stark as a character? He really felt like a transformed hero in this one. This episode has some of my favorite Tony Stark moments now. Awesome episode, in my opinion. 9/10!
That's because this is pre Ultron and Civil War, before Tony made all those mistakes. His actions didn't blow up in his face here, he actually had a positive impact.

Such a fun and creative episode! I’m so glad Tony didn’t go down the Vulture route of “Yeah I’ll just adapt to this new environment instead of finding a way home.” Merry Christmas you guys!
The scene of Tony using his armor to make a car. Reminded me of Tron Legacy. Rinzler always having a second vehicle to materialize in mid air after his first one blew up.
This felt like comics Tony. MCU Tony did basically invent time travel, but he never felt like THIS smart. Just solved every problem and technology thrown at him, felt very comic book-y. Love it.

I seriously can't contain my excitement on seeing Iron man my heart is beating like crazy a 10/10 episode. Nothing nothing can replace Tony stark as a character..... There may be any other Ironman but there can't be any other Tony stark
Fun fact is that this episode was originally planned for season 1. And LEGO made a set based on the suit Tony has where you could remake it into its car form!
This is a season one episode that was cut. They're repackaging it as a flashback that explains Gamora from Guardians of the Multiverse. That's why this feels like a season one episode compared to the previous three season two episodes
@@DToomer Isn't it interesting how they claim to be these huge MCU fans but are lost when it comes to past shows/movies and they pick on goofy references that are meaningless but don't pay attention to the story and it's details being told right in front of them?
They didn't bring in any actual Iron Man themes in this, but I do like that whenever he suited up or built armor, the music felt a lot like some of the music from the first two films. Edit: In the S1 finale, Tony and Gamora, after having already killed Thanos (according to this episode), aquired the Infinity Stones and constructed the Infinity Crusher. They were finishing up destroying the stones when Uatu came to retrieve Gamora.
Ah ok I guess that makes sense. I thought that they actually beat Thanos with the Infinity Crusher and all, just based on how they explained stuff in that finale.
The Watcher: Remember S1 Gamora? Turns out, her journey began in someone else's story. Greg: Why is this someone else's story and not Gamora's? Didn't they say this was her story at the beginning? Akshdhsjs, don't ever change you guys. 🤣
So glad they did this episode since it was cancelled from season 1. There was a Lego set of the sakaar hulkbuster that could also be built into the car. I loved the idea of Tony getting stranded on Sakaar and making a suit and I’m so glad we finally got to see it.
Iron Man with his "Chariot" and that entire final race just reminded me of the glorious and utterly fun race sequence from Spy Kids 3: Game Over. Very reminiscent of that film.
The idea of Thanos just chillin in a space chair with no food or drink lying around is equally hilarious. Like what are you doing bro?? Literally how much can you just sit in a space chair.
Why would you think that is naked space? If nothing else it is an asteroid with a forcefield. Nebula, apparently doesn't need to breathe, she is a cyborg after all, but other characters that do, like Gamora (she almost died in GotG volume 1 exposed to space), Ronan, and the other have appeared there before. The jury is out on Thanos, but they can talk, out loud, so there is an atmosphere of some sort.
So, The Watcher in the beginning said that the Gamora we saw had the start or her hero's journey in another’s story. That's why it's not super Gamora focused.
This is the season 1 episode that was moved for season 2, but NOW it makes sense, this was a Mad Max episode and season 2 has been based on movies, so I get they took this decision during season 1 production to be used as a theme for season 1, well played
This episode also felt like it's a prequel to Gamora's story before she became the Guardian of the Multiverse. So in a way The Watcher Uatu didn't pluck her out from her universe as of yet.

When the Watcher recruited Gamora in season 1, she was in mid battle with Tony and had the Infinity Krusher. So it is possible that they didn't manage to kill Thanos right away since they ended the episode so abruptly
Glad you guys enjoyed the episode this was the episode that was meant to be apart of the first season and the Watcher at the top of the episode explains that the Gamora that was apart of the Guardians of the Multiverse her arc starts within someone else’s story which in this case is Tony Stark
It was great but felt like it ended to suddenly like there is still a bit between when the episode ended and gamora was recruited that could have been shown.
