Rest in peace Ian Mitchell -- a roller for a brief time but still made an impact. Condolences to his wife, Wendy and their families. I loved these handsome lads from Scotland (and Ireland!). A piece of my childhood went to heaven with Alan... now another piece of it with Ian. Fly with the angels, Mr. Mitchell, eternal rest grant unto him oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
Unite...Bay City Roller fans!!! No matter the years...we have to still love them,,,cuz they were so amazing, and brought so much meaning to our teenage lives...I still love them....woo hoo
My favorite group Les McKeown is my favorite guy in the Bay City Rollers and other guys are great too rip Alan Longmuir;Ian Mitchell and Les McKeown u are our angels 😇😇😇 mower miss u three but we keeping ur music 🎶 live on
2 GREAT SONGS..........................Eric & Woody wrote 2 beautiful tunes.................Thumbs UP guys! THEY should be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame......they deserve it.
Yes they do!! Don't care What Tam Paton said- he did not deserve a cut of the publishing rights-Eric and Woody did!! They should have had That money too!!
‘Maybe l’m a fool’ has ‘unravelled’ me by pulling on my heartstrings ♥️🥲sung beautifully by Les. They certainly didn’t get the recognition they all deserved, would be a good idea to have them in The hall of fame. May our memories of this band live on, RIP Les & Ian😘
My my.... My late sister use to listen to these guys. In the back ground there I was...listening and enjoying. This brings back so many fond memories of my late sister and days of the 70s where the summers` were endless and carefree.....
RIP Alan, Ian and now Les!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It stinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the 1st time I heard this song, I think, but I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never heard Les's voice sound so beautiful & soulful as on this second song. He really had a lovely voice. And what a great quality video. Wish they were all as good quality as this. Thanks for uploading. Still remember rushing home from school to watch Shang-A-Lang. Les was my first pin-up along with David Cassidy. Dreamy innocent days.
So many of the videos are recordings from TV shows that have been converted to various forms throughout the years so they are such poor quality!! It's sad and would be so awesome if the actual owners would release their originals!!
@@jannylovesbcr mine Too! Loved David much more then Shawn when he came 2 fame! David always was More talented! I went to his Joseph and the Technicolor dream coat 😍play! Awesome performance!
Video shows Ian but song was recorded when Alan was still with the band. Sadly, Alan left us on July 2 of this year. Condolences to brother Derek and the rest of the family. Alan didn't live to see if any of the royalties would be paid to the band by the record company. Record company owes the members millions in royalties. BCR sold over 300 million records worldwide. They deserve to be in the R&R Hall of Fame.
I loved them so much that even though we were quite poor I saved up 15 dollars for 3 albums a guy at school sold me of theirs.and I played them constantly on my record player.
I remember this song and the album it was on were a new dimension with the disco beat and hi tech stuff going on. I got it for Christmas when I was 14.
Wow! Janny!! Wow!! I loved these songs off of "Rock N' Roll Love Letter" and "Wouldn't You Like It". I played "Maybe I'm A Fool To Love You" over and over ha ha!!!
aaaaw i can not believe that after 40 years of being a bay city roller fan,i'm finaly going to be seeing Les this september 25th,can not wait, its like a dream come true after such a long time. love him so much.xx
I love this video!!! Have watched it lots of times, but just now noticed how always adorable Woody, who is in soft focus at the very end of the song, looks down, then when the music ends, looks up and raises his eyebrows, then smiles right when Les whispers, "yeah." That last "yeah" makes me want to listen to the song all over again. What can I say about Leslie? He is utterly beautiful here. His eyes are so expressive and he really puts his heart into the words on Maybe I'm A Fool. Fantastic performance. Thanks for sharing, Janny.
I had the pleasure of meeting them in the 70's when they came to America. I fought my way to the front and got their autograph. Sadly in 2001 my house was robbed and they stole all my celebrities autographs. It broke my heart. But thanks so much for posting. Brings back great memories of my teenage years. Still listening to them in 2018!!!
Rest in peace Ian you were awesome thanks Bay City Rollers U such underrated band had wonderful music and never given the credit I am big fan listening till I am not here 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍
you guy's rock an Love you an great music an wonderfull men keep it up an see you in the next life time you all will be their as i will be too. Love you guys- YOUR THE BEST " " :-)
Yes, I'm back again. So hooked on Maybe I'm A Fool recently, and wondered why I didn't remember it as one of my faves from back in the day. Just listened to the album version, and it is nowhere near as good as this version. It's a bit faster and the vocals just don't have the same soul. Anyway, thanks again, Janny, for sharing this incredibly beautiful version of the song. :)
Omg, I was listening to a Crystal Gale song and for some totally unrelated reason this video of the Rollers came to mind, and as I scrolled down, the second thing that popped up was this video..I'm starting to believe that this phone really does read my mind. It's not the first time it's happened either.
Brilliant almost everyone has had the same thought. Don't stop the music because I am enjoying the togetherness. Hahaha. And then we are all fool to love each other but we do it anyway because we care. Hahaha. Merry Christmas with kisses and a prosperous New Year in 2020.
Thanks for featuring this “live” recording video. I prefer this version of Maybe I’m A Fool to Love You versus the final recorded version (that used backup singers & an orchestra). This version highlights dear Les’ vocal range, & Eric’s guitar solo. Really miss Les (RIP).
We had a fantastic time! The show was amazing - Les is just a great front man and is a really lovely guy. :) We were very lucky to meet him afterwards and I was on a high after having a hug and a kiss with him!! He even signed my copy of his autobiography, too. :D I am still on a high...lol XX
Yes, there are lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lot...............
I've never known him to play any brass or woodwind instruments, but he can play at least 7 instruments: guitar, piano, bass guitar, violin, viola, mandolin and percussion. The Rollers proved, once and for all, in this clip that there was so much more to them than singalong teen pop, which they had outgrown by then. RIP Les and Ian.

Don't Let the Music die!!
My first year of High School and then you guys came along! I love you guys!
Maybe put your energy into helping them get all the money the record labels robbed them of..
Most under rated musicians ever, heart breaking. Love them forever!
RIP Les! Such an amazing talent. Gone but not forgotten!
💔😪

Les was absolutely beautiful here. I can't take my eyes off him.
Many girls said that "handsome" wasn't a word strong enough to describe him.
He is flirting with Someone here!;) his eyes are sparkling here! Love that smile!
i guess I'm pretty randomly asking but does anybody know of a good website to watch newly released movies online ?
@Muhammad Ryder lately I have been using flixzone. Just google for it =)
@Shane Forest yup, have been using FlixZone for since march myself :)
Fabulous with Les at the helm. Love him.
I absolutely love Maybe I'm a fool to love you! Listening to it now is so bittersweet.

"Maybe I'm A Fool" was covered by Eddie Kendrick(s) of the Temptations. Pretty high praise for this song.
Tina, amazing song would have never known this if you had not put it in this post and Mr.Kendricks was awesome doing his version too.
Wow, I did not know that!
Yes he did a great job of recording that song... I have the album still... I think!
知らない曲ですが、レスリーのバラードが生かされた曲ですね。
They wrote this song!!! They should have had more opportunities as they had tons of potential!!
What a jam "Don't Stop the Music" is!

I've known the song forever but never never did I ever think they were white guys!! They have a lot of soul!!
Just realized Eric's playing those bongos at the start. Is there an instrument this man can't play?
Eric is very talented..He gives his all..
