Right, Nobody can seem to write melodic rock or pop today. Theres a few exceptions like Max Martin but he writes songs for others. Taylor Swift hasnt had a number 1 catchy pop song since she split from Martin and went independent.
I'm 61 and have loved this song since the minute I first heard it. It always brings me back to the Summer of 78'. What a great time to be teenager! It still gives me the chills...

They were a great band back in the day, perhaps 2nd only to T Rex in the glam rock days. I was 9 when I first heard them and still listen from time to time. There was something about Sweet, real star quality, unique sounds and superb vocals by Connolly.
I was young also when I heard them. I’ve always been a lover of music and dancing since I was a kid and now I’m 55. And I’ve got such a variety of songs on my playlists. And this past year, I don’t know why, but it’s like I’ve become so obsessed with them!! I actually got a reply back from Lisa Priest which was pretty cool! But they were a great band who all together they were just perfect! No one could ever replace these guys. I listen to them every day/night and never get tired of hearing them!! R.I.P guys… And Andy, keep going strong.

How were The Sweet 'underrated'?
