I appreciate the band's versatility in their own songs; it seems as though each song of theirs is completely deconstructed and re-adhered entirely each time they perform andiloveitsomuch
Let's take a minute and appreciate how Ian Chang recreates his precise studio performance with a simple live setup. Son Lux, you've outdone yerself once again
Eddy Palogrande not one, 32
Did you check his solo project? th-cam.com/video/fQ1vE0B5ioE/w-d-xo.html

Easy sounds sooo good live
Goddamn majestic! I've watched countless videos of Son Lux live. This is by far the best sounding. Very much appreciated for this. I am now a subscriber.
La Blogotheque and son lux? Literally was so happy to see this pop up.
Holy shit.
This is fucking amazing.
The universe needs to see this.
Amen.
Don't know if I'm right or not but I finally understood on which song Rafiq made some AMAZING improvisation when I saw Son Lux live. Damn I'm crying this is powerful stuff.
Pure gold.
I´ve started on Archspire drummer onto Deantoni Parks, followed by Aiming for Enrike and Brian Chippendale onto Greg Fox and Ian Chang to finally get to Son Lux.
Thanks to all involved in so many beautiful musical discoveries.
What a wonderful musical treasure!

Is the piano broken?
Nope. It's a technique called "prepared piano". The pianists puts things in the corpus and on the strings of the instrument so it'll make different (in this case percussion like) sounds. See at 8:25 how he puts his hotel key-card inside the piano so it rattles when he is playing certain notes.
That squeeking sound in the background at 19:40 is so fucked up... ;D
Why the broken piano though
It's not broken--he altered it on purpose:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prepared_piano
Yeah, I think he has changed it so he can do things acoustically that he'd usually do electronically. Hence the beer mat from the hotel he positions before playing Easy.
Art.
There are a lot of names of video operator in description, but for me it looks worse than amateur work :/
Piotrrrrrrrr He seems to be able to enhance or kill the piano strings resonance, he surely applied something to control it with the sustain pedal
