My husband was suffering from acute pancreatitis he was fighting between death and life and not having chances of life .. I chanted this mantra continuesly till he gets discharged and also played this mantra almost all the time.. Now he is alright and living with me happily..i never know this chant is such a powerful God is great ..lord shiva

Guruji nicely & very simply explained the meaning of Mahamrityunjay Mantra
I started chanting this mantra, and a friend asked me about it. I literally explained it the same way without really knowing about it (except from direct personal experiences) All I knew was a rough english translation and that it was a healing, dhyana and moksha mantra. (First line referring to dhyana, second to healing and third/fourth to moksha). Just wanted to show you, that to really understand a mantra, just chant it all the time and ask shiva (or what ever form of god you invoke) to show you the meaning.
