I recently had an astrological reading done, and I learned that Rudra is my worshippable deity. Since then, I have realised that I do have a spontaneous attraction to Lord Śiva. Coincidentally I am also at chapter 3 of part 1 of Śrī Brhad-Bhāgavatāmrta, in which Nārada Muni is visiting Lord Śiva in Śivaloka and conversing with Him there. Nārada Muni is searching out the true recipient of Lord Kṛṣṇa's mercy, starting with devotees on earth, moving up the spiritual hierarchy as each of them humbly suggests a more qualified person than themselves.
