I am a single woman going through the adoption process and went into it knowing that I want to adopt siblings. I couldn’t imagine my life without the experiences I shared with my sisters. I wouldn’t want to possibly take that away from someone.

We are currently fostering a sibling group 👨👩👧 of three little ones that’s headed that way. It’s WORK but after over a year we are doing much better. Great video.
I hope so much to be a home for siblings, thank you for standing up for siblings being placed together. I see a lot of people who make it seem so much harder, and this an important counter!

👨👩👧👦…. thank you for your videos, as we are starting the process for foster adoption as well, and have learned a lot from you. this video helped us in particularly because we are entertaining siblings specifically because we think that it is important for kids to also have a companion to play with at home/argue with/get in trouble with, etc.… Lol

You might one day talk about age of parents adopting and the difference that makes. Older mom and dad doing international adoption. Both teens had preferences that did not match our family. Their choice, nor ours. Still waiting for the perfect match .... Thanks for your interesting videos.
That would be an interesting topic! I don’t make international adoption content simply because I don’t have personal experience with it, but I know older couples adopting from foster care have similar experiences. I’d love to interview someone who has been through that sometime!

I wish I saw this a year ago! We are in process of adopting a sibling pair and were told they got along. Almost 7 months in and it’s constant chaos, fighting and verbal abusive from the younger sibling who we now know has attachment issues. It’s a nightmare!!!

👨👧👦I'm a single nonbinary guy waiting for my homestudy to be approved by the state (it was submitted last week), and I'm hoping to eventually adopt a large sibling group. I was the eldest of four and I've worked as a substitute teacher for a few years as well as having nannied for families with multiple kids, so I have experience taking care of several kids at a time. There's a sibling group of five currently looking for a placement in my state. My caseworker would want me to have a few foster placements before taking such a large group on, so it would be a few months before I could possibly take them in. I hope they find a good placement before I could, because that would mean they have to wait in the system less time overall, but I wouldn't hesitate to apply to be a potential placement for them if they're still looking when I'd be able to.

ohh i didnt know you didnt have to 'maintain your license' 👍 if you arent looking to adopt again.
We have 2 bio kids. 1 with a lot of needs. I’m worried about how any child/children will adapt to our unique family dynamics. That’s my #1 thing I’m looking for is a placement that will work well with our current situation. If that’s 1 kids or 3 kids…I’m happy with either.
Though with more than 1 I might need to invest in a minivan
We're in the exact same situation although we already have the minivan 😉. My oldest daughter has a genetic disorder which is part of the reason we're interested in adopting to continue our family.
