    Nice! We’ve done a quick visit and another visit for the festival last month. However we are are really wanting to go back to get a good look around.

    Great set of imagery! Also that brass lens looks sick!

    Hi Phil, you might noticed that the electric poles in historical area of Kawagoe had buried underground. Quite unique and nice to see!
    Your color adjustment is always natural and pleasing to watch.

      Thank you for the kind words! That's true, quite rare to not see (almost) any wires above ground!

    Cool brass lens.
    Interesting neighborhood.
    3:35 mirror selfie crack adds a unique touch. (My favorite)
    5:32 I was like he better have taken a photo 😂
    Glad you were able to edit and upload before the new year.

      Thanks kid. The mirror one is possibly my favorite selfie I've ever taken. And yeah there's no way I could not take that shot of the sweet potato vendor 😊

    Such a cool looking lens, it has that nice light glow to it. The "Cooke Look." 😀

      Yeah, it's nice! I need to take it out more. I knew I had to have it when I saw it on the LLL Instagram!

      @@PhilKnall A friend of mine has the same lens, this same version. I was able to check it out!

      Just remembered.. could you ask them whether it came with a lens cap? Cause mine didn't and I found it odd.

      @@PhilKnall Sure, I will ask.

    Wow that lens is great! So sharp damn.
    I really like the shot with the moped at the end, and the one following!
    Did you scan these on DSLR ?

    • @PhilKnall
      @PhilKnall  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Marco! These I still got lab scans for. I did rescan a handful, but not those particular ones. The ones with the Chameleon for example are DSLR.

      @marco_renard ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PhilKnall that's cool! Honestly I've been talking a lot about DSLR scanning with my work mates, and when it's done right, they can definitely be better than professional scanners.

      @PhilKnall  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@marco_renard yeah I think the technology has finally caught up! I think my biggest challenge right now is keeping the negative straight, but otherwise it's gotten really good.

    Hi phil nice to see your video, I’m also living in Saitama, hope to take photos with you sometime 😊

    To get maximum effect, maybe you'd want to shoot at F2 w/ a ND filter?

    • @PhilKnall
      @PhilKnall  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@cornellouis I could! It would require thought about the composition of course. I've never used an ND on film photos, might be fun to try out!

    • @cornellouis
      @cornellouis 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@PhilKnall yeah i'd imagine the focus would be a lot more challenging but also the character of the lens would be way more emphatic.

    • @PhilKnall
      @PhilKnall  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@cornellouis I'd probably take different photos. More foreground subjects, more separation. I'll get a filter and try it out!
