Why hold the lift gate button to close it? that's unnecessary. Should just press it once for the liftgate to close in the remote or inside the car.
The liftgate on the Hyundai Ioniq is one issues I have with the car and why I will write this here (in the hopes that it gets to engineers🤞). The button on the liftgate allows you to push it once to close but the key fob and button inside the vehicle make you hold it until it is fully closed. This is very annoying. Once the close is initiated, it should go by itself without a hold. Second issue I have with the car is how no settings are linked to a selected user (driver) other than connected devices and ambient interior lighting. This is insane to me. You have the ability to have multiple users but don't link the settings to them like driving assists, braking modes, seat and mirror positions, etc (everything under setup menu). If you change a user, all the settings should change too to match what they have previously selected. I believe that could be fixed with a software update and it would be very very useful.

I took my 2023 Tucson back thinking the lift gate was defective only that “only the Tucson behaved this way. Good thing I persisted because Service didn’t seem to know that.

The “hands free” option is slow in my opinion. Why does the car have to beep 6 times before opening? If I’m carrying something heavy I would rather put it down and press the button in the door, it’s faster.
Is there a way to close it without touching the button?
Is it possible to turn off sound while door is opening and closing?
opening with keyfob or button inside works fine. The keyfob isn't closing the door all the way. It makes a long beep sound and the smart trunk isn't working either. I

Hi, our hyundai tucson is 2019 year model. The problem is only opening but not closing , I already change the power lift and still not closing. Do you have any suggestion to fix? thank you

Love my car but the pushing and holding the button until the tailgate fully closes is insanity. The button inside and the key fob should operate like the button on the door.

Is there a good after market or (OEM) power lift kits if your vehicles doesn't have it?
Where can we purchase this kit as Hyundai New Zealand don't have the genuine one available?

My problems with the lift gate is that when I get out of the car and then stand behind the lift gate, nothing happens. If I try an hour or so later, it responds - why? Second, the gate will lift after only 3 beeps, can that be extended to 4 or 5 - in our late 80's we walk too slow, it takes us more than 3 seconds to walk past! Third - door opening problem. Sometimes when i try to open the door (2024 Tuscon hybrid) it will beep only once - and then not open. I don't think I am touching the door handle, but after several one beep episodes, it finally will beep twice and let me open the door - why?

Yes it does, it won’t do it if it’s unlocked. I think that’s dumb especially since you’re gonna go into the car once you finish shopping anyway.

Yeah, the colors, or lack thereof truly sucks. 5 shades of grey.
The power liftgate on my 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe won't work since we had to replace the battery in one of my keys. It's the "smart" part that won't work; it will open by hand, but not with the button on my key fob, or when I walk up to it with the key fob (the "smart" part), or by pushing the open button...it just won't "automatically" open...I have to manually open it. It WILL however, close automatically. You can hear it try to open, but then it closes right back. What the heck's going on?!?!?!

@@hyundai I know that’s what I really need to do, but I’ve had issues with them in the past, so I was just hoping that someone might have had the same issue and have a quick fix so I could avoid going into the service Dept.

الى المصممين في الشركة : اليوم عندما تحبون ان تضيفو ميزة ما الى الموديلات الحديثة يجب عدم تغيير المعايير القياسية والمهمة في السيارة على سبيل المثال: عندما اضفتم ميزة التشغيل التلقائي للضوء اثناء لف عجلة القيادة لماذا ازلتم عدسة الضوء العالي المهمة. هل الضوء الذي يتجه الى الجانبين يعوض عن ضوء العدسة العالي في المديلات الاخرى. امر محزن جدا. ارجو تعديل ذلك بسرعة
