Kudos to you Mr Suresh, you are an honest officer who has always done justice to whatever you have been assigned to!! I wish more like minded IAS officers came out and started telling all the under the table deals made by the various ministers and governments!! We need to clean up this system, yes everyone needs to be pulled up, even the working of the Secretariat. Too much red tapism. Nobody is being held accountable for what's happening!!
We support you and there are a lot of people who will stand up with you, yes we need a leader like you said to stand up to these corrupt officers and politicians!! 🙏🙏🙏

സുരേഷ് കുമാർ എന്ന ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥനെ ഞാൻ വിലയിരുത്തുന്നത് തൻറെ പിതാവ് ആയ കെ വി കുമാരൻ സാർ പി എസ് സി മെമ്പർ ആയി ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ സ്വന്തം മകനായ സുരേഷ് കുമാർ (കേവലം അന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഒരു ഡിഗ്രി മാത്രമാണ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത് എന്നാണ് ഞാൻ മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നത് ) പിന്നീട് അദ്ദേഹം നിയമബിരുദം എടുത്തിട്ടുള്ള തായി ഇപ്പോൾ അറിയുന്നു. സ്വന്തം പിതാവ് പി എസ് സി മെമ്പർ ആയിരിക്കെ തന്നെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ മകനായ സുരേഷ് കുമാർ ഡെപ്യൂട്ടി കളക്ടർ ആയി നേരിട്ട് നിയമനം കിട്ടിയ ആളായി തീർന്നു. അന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ നിയമനത്തിൽ ഒരുപാട് ചർച്ചകൾ പ്രതിഷേധങ്ങൾ എന്നിവ നടന്നതായി ഓർക്കുന്നു. അത്തരം പ്രതിഷേധം കാരണം അന്ന് psc ക്ക് ഒരു പത്രകുറിപ്പ് പോലും ഇറക്കേണ്ടി വന്നു .പിന്നീട് അദ്ദേഹം ഐഎഎസ്സുകാരൻ ആയി പ്രമോഷൻ കിട്ടി വിഎസ് അച്യുതാനന്ദന്റെ സെക്രട്ടറിയായി മൂന്നാർ കെട്ടിടങ്ങൾ ഇടിച്ചു പൊളിക്കാൻ നേതൃത്വം നൽകി പോകുന്നതായി കണ്ടു. അതുതന്നെ നിയമവിരുദ്ധമായാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ചെയ്തതെന്ന് എനിക്ക് തോന്നിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. കാരണം എത്ര നിയമവിരുദ്ധമായാണ് ആ കെട്ടിടം പണിതിട്ടുണ്ടങ്കിൽ തന്നെയും. ഉടമസ്ഥന് ഒരു നോട്ടീസ് പോലും നൽകാതെ പൊളിച്ചുമാറ്റിയത് സ്വാഭാവിക നീതിയുടെ ലംഘനമാണ്. അത് നിയമവിരുദ്ധമായേ കാണാൻ പറ്റൂ. ഒരുപക്ഷെ അന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ അറിവില്ലായ്മ കൊണ്ടു ആയിരിക്കാം. അല്ലെങ്കിൽ വാർത്തകൾ സൃഷ്ടിക്കാൻ ആയിരിക്കാം. എന്നാൽ പിന്നീട് സർക്കാരിന് അതിന് വലിയ വില നൽകേണ്ടി വന്നു. ഉടമസ്ഥർക്ക് നഷ്ടപരിഹാരം കൊടുക്കാൻ ഹൈക്കോടതി വിധിച്ചു. സർക്കാർ ഖജനാവിലെ പണം അദ്ദേഹം ചെയ്ത പ്രവർത്തിക്കു വേണ്ടി നഷ്ടപരിഹാരമായി ഉടമകൾക്ക് കൊടുക്കേണ്ടി വന്നതും പിൽക്കാലത്ത് മനസ്സിലാകുന്നുണ്ട്. അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ അന്നത്തെ ആ പ്രവർത്തികൾ ചില പാർട്ടി പ്രമുഖരുടെ വീടിന് മുന്നിൽ വച്ച് അവസാനിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടി വന്നതും. ചില പാർട്ടി ഓഫീസുകൾ പൊളിക്കാനും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് അന്ന് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അന്ന് ചിലർ ഒരു ഹീറോ ആയി കൊണ്ടു നടന്നുവെങ്കിലും. വാടക കൊണ്ടുമാത്രം ജീവിക്കുന്നവരുടെ വേദന അറിയാൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നതും ദുഃഖകരമാണ്. തൂക്കാൻ വിധിക്കുന്ന ഒരു കോടതി പോലും പ്രതിയോട് അയാളുടെ അഭിപ്രായം തേടാറുണ്ട്. അതു പോലും ചെയ്യാതിരുന്ന മനുഷ്യനാണ് അദ്ദേഹം. ചില നല്ല ഗുണങ്ങൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കാം. അല്ലെങ്കിൽ തന്റെ നിലപാടിൽ ഉറച്ചു നിൽക്കുന്ന ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥൻ ആയിരിക്കാം സത്യസന്തൻ ആയിരിക്കാം .എങ്കിലും ശരിയല്ലാത്ത പല സമീപനങ്ങളും അദ്ദേഹം സ്വീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് എന്നാണ് എൻറെ വ്യക്തിപരമായ അഭിപ്രായം. അതുമാത്രമല്ല അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പിതാവ് പട്ടികജാതിക്കാരുടെ നേതാവായിരുന്നു. ആ ഒരു പരിഗണന വെച്ച് കൂടിയാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ പി എസ് സി മെമ്പർ ആക്കിയത്. എന്നാൽ സംവരണത്തിൽ കൂടി ഉന്നത ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥ തലത്തിൽ എത്തിയ സുരേഷ് കുമാർ. പട്ടികജാതിക്കാർക്ക് എതിരെ നടന്നുവന്നിരുന്ന അവഗണനകൾ ക്കെതിരെ ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാൻ കഴിയാതെ പോയ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥൻ ആണെന്നു തോന്നുന്നു. അട്ടപ്പാടിയിലെ ഭൂസമരവും ചെങ്ങറ ഭൂ പ്രശ്നം എന്നിവ അദ്ദേഹം ഉന്നത ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥനായിരുന്ന സമയങ്ങളിൽ ആയിരുന്നു. അന്ന് അവർക്കു നീതിവാങ്ങി കൊടുക്കുന്ന കാര്യത്തിൽ അദേഹത്തിന്റെ സംഭാവന എന്തെന്നറിയില്ല....
സുരേഷ്‌കുമാറിനോട് നേരെചൊവ്വേ ഒരു നല്ല ചോദ്യം ചോദിക്കാൻ പോലും ചോദ്യകർത്താവിനും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.....

അനധികൃത മായി പണിത് വെച്ച എല്ലാ കെട്ടിടവും പൊളിച്ചു മാറ്റണം. മാത്രമല്ല ചെറുകിടക്കാരുടെ ഒന്നും പൊളിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. വൻകിട എല്ലാം പൊളിച്ചു കളയണം. അല്ലാതെ നോട്ടീസ്, സ്റ്റേ പിന്നെയും സ്റ്റെ....ഒന്നും നടക്കൂല... അല്ലേൽ ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ ആയുസ്സിൽ നടക്കൂല. ഇത്തരം നടപടി അത്യാവശ്യം ആണ്... ഒരു വീട് പൊളിക്ക് ആണെങ്കിൽ താങ്കൾ പറഞ്ഞതിനോട് ഞാൻ യോജിക്കും
