I’ve had the console 1 for 3 years. It sat in the box for 2 of those years. Then i bought the fader last year and actaully learned how to use them a little bit. Thanks for making this series. I may dive into them a bit deeper finally and get away from the mouse and keyboard method.

Love the Console 1 system! I don't know if you know this but you can change your settings to select each fader just by touching the fader and it will automatically select that channel.

It looks like a smart and efficient design... for those who like channel strips. But what if you want to insert an effet (a de-esser, for instance) between the EQ section and the compressor? How can you do that?

sorry, not at this time.
Personally I like the Hardware setup, however I would prefer to control my DAW including 3rd party plugins without their software. Meaning a hardware controller with a meter bridge that totally controls my DAW software at those prices. I am also one of those people that desire the tactile feeling of a desk that does everything my mouse or keyboard does that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Even though it's just a serious hobby for me.
Then the Icon QCon ProX surface controller may be worth looking at. I have videos coming on that unit soon

I dont believe so at lest not easily
anything to make it more hands on. I am down with that. Have just regular console 1 not fader ports but have been debating... Is it really worth it? Lemme know your thoughts please.
Yes, it certainly it. I would not have this system with out the faders
Do you feel softube's ssl 4000E plugin is one of or the best 4000E plugin out there?
I think they are pretty much all the same. The difference with the Console 1 version is that there is a transient designer and drive section so that makes it a little more versatile.
