Sebastian, all of your videos are gold! I'm travelling to Santorini in late May (25th to 28th), and I've already checked that there are going to be around 4 to 5 cruises arriving at 8am each day. Do you think I can beat the crowds if I get at Oia around 9am?
I would try to make it by 8:30. You can expect that by 9:30 it will start getting very crowded.

6 in the morning is the PERFECT TIME to be in Oia ! Go to the castle, you'll have a 360 view and you will be all alone !!

I would not recommend the volcano hike under extreme heat, no.

Hi Sebastian, i will visit santorini on august 1-3 and i see that the sunset in that days is around 7 pm so what do you think going to oia at 6 pm , if you say that people from the cruises have to go back around 4-5pm ?
Check the specific timings of the cruise ships on the days you're there. Some cruise leave mid afternoon, some in the evening. And that will have a big impact on the crowds in Oia for sunset.
Curious if taking a boat would be better sunday or monday for sightseeing. Is there a big difference on which days i should book?

Depends which month you're coming. The sun currently rises at 6am.

October at sunset, still very crowded. During the day, much better. November will be much less crowded for sure.

I will avoid Santorini for sure. What a money grab. Garbage everywhere and roads like in a 3rd world country. Where do all the money go? Fira and Oia are interesting but as a whole the island is very underdeveloped.
