Which, I'm not gonna lie, weirded me out a bit. Like, he loves hyper-obscure kosmiche musik (or "krautrock" if you wanna be culturally insensitive and jingoistic about it! Don't forget, it was BRITISH journos who coined that term...it's always seemed insensitive at best and borderline racist at worst to me, tbh) and he's into this shitty, "Oasis with a better record collection" band! Strange. I just bought the LUS reissue/remaster on Let Them Eat Vinyl, good record, there's a lot to digest, the 90's output is where my Fall collection is skimpiest...EDIT: sorry it doesn't become one to brag about one's record collection, I'm currently waiting for my copies of "Live At St.Helens 1981" to turn up!

I never knew i how good this energy filled music made feel, late discovering them but better late than never, they are helping to kick me out of me my long term depression better than all the medicines good and great brilliant gifted people.

Some of this line up are American they Recorded 1 full LP "Reformation Post-TLC" but have worked on later lps too but not as much as the 1st as they have their own Band called "Darker My Love" Californian psyche kinda stuff if that helps?
The guitarist here is Tim Presley, and he makes music under the moniker White Fence. Look up "Easy Rider," it's a White Fence collaboration with Ty Segall

Both LP's so good I bought them on vinyl twice..I just had to have that damn white/black splatter pressing of the latter. Both are the US Narnack releases but I'm thinking about getting the Uk pressing which is all on one LP (it's got a different version of the mighty "Blindness").

The Fall have always sounded like a second rate university throw together to me I'm afraid - evidenced by this video. If I saw this back in the day at Sheffield Hallam I'd not be greatly impressed, I have to say. Why the Fall are so revered I'll never know, though I'm trying to like them more. Some of it is bound to be the John Peel effect, with Peel devotees claiming to love anything he liked a lot. Each to their own...

I don't know why so many commenters have complained about the audience. Quite a few of them seem to be grooving to the band. As for the rest, perhaps this is the first time they've heard the Fall. Now they can say that they were there, "And the singer was a feisty old fellow, wasn't he."
There has to be at least one kid in this crowd who is watching this who will later look on this as the moment when his musical tastes suddenly changed. How I envy that kid!
I'm 59, I listen to all sorts of music, and try to keep an open mind. I gotta be honest though, I've never be able to get into The Fall nor the ramblings of Mark E Smith. Judging by that crowd's reaction I don't think I'm alone on this one.
