  • The throttle body needed to be cleaned because my RPMs were remaining high long after startup. This procedure takes less than 15 minutes from start to finish. Easy!
    Update: This didn’t fix my original high-idle problem, but oiling my idle air control valve springs and guides improved the idle greatly.

    Thank you man. I knew what sort of issue it was, but you saved me the time of troubleshooting everything and doing a complete overhaul. I got straight to the problem.

      @@ijfim appreciate you. I meant to make a video of mine myself, so there would be more help out there for people in my shoes, but I got too caught up in the moment.

      Yep, easy to do. Some of my videos suck because I am rushing to fix the vehicle instead of filming properly.

      @@ijfim hey man, you were literally the only person I could find that would help me, out of hours of searching. I'm a troubleshooter, but I knew that wasn't much of an option this time, and you came in clutch.

      @@ijfim had I not watched this, I probably would have taken apart the distributor, gotten new spark plugs, you name it.

    Clean your iac under the manifold intake. Also the pvc valve.

      Cleaning and oiling the IAC VALVE guides and springs fixed the problem a while back. This was good advice…I have updated the description. Thank you for the helpful feedback!

    Hello, I have a Nissan Frontier from 1999 with a 3.3 engine and the map sensor distributor cap was changed and when it was turned on it exploded in the exhaust.

      Dang! I guess the timing must have been off quite a bit. Is it normal now though?

    Did it fix your issue ?? I have a high idle issue atm always stays at around 1500 rpm. Sometimes a little lower but not much

    • @ijfim
      @ijfim  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I want to say it was reduced…but it still returns sometimes. If yours is happening all the time, it might be more of a vacuum leak. Start with cleaning your MAF, then check all the little hoses around the drivers side of the engine compartment. These little hoses sometimes cause phantom issues.

    torque convert solenoid code/shuddering. driving me bonkers. my mechanic says his transmission shop wont' even touch a Nissan transmissions. any tips ?

    • @ijfim
      @ijfim  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I fixed that problem on a dodge neon one time. The owner hit something and knocked the wire loose from the connector. Maybe your connector suffered some damage somehow. I would carefully inspect all wires before diving in to the transmission repair. Unplug and check for pin corrosion.

      Tell your mechanic it's a regular automatic transmission not the CVT they are assuming every Nissan has amd stop crying.

      i am talking about the fast file cam. It has a plunger and a cam that moves the throttle when cold and hot. I don’t know if you can PM me through TH-cam. Unfortunately, this medium doesn’t allow me to post anything other than typed responses.

    This is what NOT to do to your car or truck. Lmao.
    1. No gloves with carb cleaner
    2. Spraying up into the engine
    Remove the whole body for proper cleaning.
    3. This man just ripped all the parts out. Lol. Wtf. SMH.
