I've ridden a number of the Sunshine Coast segments...but as day outings and not laden with bikepacking gear. And yes, the climb up from Earl's Cove is brutal!
Hell yeah! Great work you two. Loved the new bikes and looks like you both were running pretty lean set ups! Hot uphill single track in the baking sun? Dude this is my kind of route! I was looking at these routes a while ago, its a bit of a schlep from down here in Vancouver, WA, but this video made it look like a ton of fun...I may have to make the trek. Been trying to do an ultralight packout on my full sus Transition Spur and I just got a hip pack. How'd do you like riding with one of those?
Thanks Chris! True story: Your work was in many ways the foundation for this trip. The PNW Hip Pack is new to me, but I really didn't mind it at all. Torally forgot i was wearing most of the time. I had the camera, batteries, some snacks and little things like cards and cash in it. Super handy and easy to get to. It was so warm that we were able to pack ultralight super easily. A colder, wetter or longer trip would certainly require a more hearty bag setup. The route is awesome, and I'm sure you'd have an absolute riot if you made the journey. That said: from the looks of it, you have no shortage of mind-blowing routes in your backyard too. One day soon we'd love to come and start exploring!
Pretty sweet and you are just cementing in why you’re my hero!!
I’m never NOT impressed with your rides, and your videos. This one’s awesome!
Really great video
Congrats on pulling off an epic trip! Great to see your faces
Awesome filming, great dialog & riding. Kudos!! Makes me want to get out there.
Thanks you so much!
Hope your feet have been recovering nicely since the BC Epic. We're getting excited for more of your adventures soon!
