      I had heard only good things about them and thought I was the only one that hated them... I use them to shave my nipple hair instead of my face, lol.
      I also disliked the BIC Chrome Platinum blades, which was surprising, because I was expecting them to be really good.

      Hey dude, you bring the razor for before, not after. No gal appreciates whisker burn on any part of her body, especially between her thighs. You use the razor for a touch up before things get real hot and heavy. Duh, I don't think you've had many experiences with women. A few girls that don't know better yet, but not real women. Oh, you should probably shave before anyway, you don't want your whiskers to pop your blow up doll.

Comes with a few blades (“ice tempered steel”, but they’re overrated so you could totally get the blades from a different brand that are cheaper). You can fine them practically everywhere.

    Here because of the algorithm. What I’ve found is that preparation before the shave makes the most difference i.e. using a brush and for me personally face lathering. I get great shaves with the two blade Gillette or other disposables, three blades or more just gives me irritation. Also I find that the affordable soaps and creams like Proraso, Arko, Nivea and Palmolive give just as good results as the more expensive stuff and these four are all I use these days. I’m totally over my compulsive shave gear buying fase.

    Those things are probably better than a Gillette Fusion. I used one of those since high school since that's all I knew, but once my facial hair started getting thick and rough, it became too hard to shave. Shaving more than once or twice a week meant my face would hurt super bad- like thousands of pin needles poking my face all over.
    Switched out to DE, and nowadays shavette, about a year ago. Classical wetshaving has changed everything. Used to HATE shaving, but now I won't leave my house without taking a few minutes for a proper shave. And I feel an often irresistible urge to spend money from my paychecks on a new brush, a new bowl, a new soap, a new aftershave, something... But that's fine because shaving went from something I couldn't stand to a hobby and essential routine.

    There are two kinds of shave gels in the market one that foams up and the other that stays clear or low foaming gel. Most high end shaving gels tend to stay low foaming or clear. Cheap ones are the one that foams up. My fav brand is Hawkins and Brimble if you spend abit more or mid range products it last you longer then the cheap stuff cause with cheap stuff you tend to use alot more I will not use something that comes out of the can. Cheap products mostly have too much alcohol that dry your skin out.

Aftershave, don't know of any brands but the £1 shop will have some, so 1.37 cents for that. Our supermarket value brand prices have risen significantly in the past 10 years though, they're much closer to the price of the supposed quality own brands now. But a decade ago, you could get a pack of 5 razors for a ridiculously low price. Seriously, like 6 cents. Not kidding. Shave foam, probably about 30 cents. Cheap aftershave has stuck at the £1 price point for many years though, although that's becoming increasingly scarce. But you can get it, if you look hard enough.

    My son bought me a double edge safety razor. I finally started shaving with it and now I'm hooked. I tried years ago and it was probably Wilkson Sword and I never took to it.
    Now, I bought the Parker 99R and it is a big improvement on the one my son bought even though that gave me a good shave. I feel a little more relaxed shaving with the Parker. I have used feather blades which are good but I've been very impressed with the Derby blades and its price point is insane at 13.5 cents Canada which is probably less than ten cents US per blade.

    If you want a cheap preshave use LectricShave before applying your soap. Works really well for DE even though it’s meant as an electric shaver preshave. You can find it at almost any drug store or supermarket. It’s really helped my skin as far as dryness/irritation.

    You should give the Dollar Tree Store DE razor another try….they have slightly improved their razor and blades since you did your video on this product and I have been using the same razor for several months now with excellent results even though I am using different blades once in awhile but the original blades work good.

  • @craig1974
    @craig1974 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I am the biggest cheapskate around, and i find that the Assured 5 blade 3 pack razors with the green handles at Dollar Tree are the best i could find right now. Dollar Tree once sold Noxema razors which were great too. I mostly buy foam creams like Barbasol because i like the lathers. The gels do not appeal to me. One piece of advise i can give with cheap razors is some makes are hard to clean, and i have to smack them against the sink to get the hairs out. Its because the gap between the last blade, and the frame of the razor is too narrow. I am now transitioning to a safety razor because i feel like in the long run they are a better value.

    • @gigatronicdeth
      @gigatronicdeth 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So.. Personna (which isn't bad) in the TRAC 2 style.....I'd prefer that over the Gillette Sensor 2's(because the blades are garbage) ....But I'd get the Nivea Men Gel and aftershave balm. Still love the sensor Excel...Which I got lucky with carts because 5$ per a 10 pack in the clearance isle. I think the "feather" weight throws people off. AS for Applied the Gel, I use the one hand method, spread some on my finger tips, one swipe on each cheek, then circle motion on the neck, then the rest of the face. For me it works every time, nice vid as usual!
