Excellent review.
The update. I found the real stats from Cadillac. Length 14.5” less, width 5.5” less, height 8.4” shorter. It really is a FULL size suv and just a little smaller than my big fat Escalade.

Great review. I just bought the XT5. But you say it’s a “small” suv. I also own an Escalade and I would describe the XT5 as a medium/large suv crossover. I park them next to each other in my garage and the XT5 is about 6” less width, 12” less length and 12” shorter. I was surprised at how big it was when I brought it home.
David T. Kaye do you like the XT5? How is the 2018? I don’t think I can get a 2020 but I’d like to trade my 2018 equinox for it.

@@ashleym4233 we have a 2018 xt5 luxury, got it in june and it’s been wonderful, it has a preppy v6, lots of features comfort and safety wise, and it’s very spacious. no issues so far and drives amazing, especially in sport. i recommend

I love this car. However, I have to say that the CUE of the car broke down at 1000 miles and I changed it. It broke again. Now the parking brake was activated for the second time and I was driven in the expressway. This was a super dangerous experience. The towing driver told me that happens to the XT5 every day. So, I'm not going to do more lease with Cadillac because I don't want to die.
What bothers me more about the Cadillac is that they know that the CUE has a problem from the previous model and for the XT5 too and they do not make a recall.
Toyota makes a recall every so often and if not when you are going to change the oil, they do it.
I just bought one. This helps. Thank you.

How do you shut off auto stop on the 2017 xt5 there’s no option,some have a generic mini wire harness out there with no wiring direction for $13 and another for $140 how do you get around that auto stop gota be bad for the second starter and your battery.
Had to down size from a Silverado 2500hd loaded, so I picked up this xt5 luxury trim level. I am really liking it. The tech in this car is really good. Still getting used to the engine cut out at stop lights.
Can be disabled by moving the shifter to anything BUT "D" - sport mode, manual, but then you supposedly lose fuel mileage but it's SO ANNOYING
@@cherylllangham. It is impossible to move your foot from the brake to the accelerator pedal before the engine restart kicks in. Relax. Deal with it.
Now that Cadillac has the XT6 , seven passenger how can you even say that the xt5 is just a bit smaller than the Escalade. You can’t be serious😂
I have the Premium Luxury. I disabled the God Damn Auto Stop, that really increased the Driving Experience. Today, it actually applied brakes by itself.
I do like the LED Headlamps.
How did you disable the auto stop, if yours is a 2017 there’s no button to tun off,on the 18 there’s a button. Or did you buy the $140 bypass kit?
Will it auto lock if the fob is in the car?
Because it's not cheap .. That's why nothing feels cheap .. Hommey
VW has has the passenger mirror move down since 2002. GM. Is always slow to catch on to any thing.

I’m not sure which I’d pick either. I haven’t driven the new Nautilus yet but I saw it at the Detroit Auto Show. I think the XT5 front looks better but the Nautilus interior looks nicer and Nautilus has an optional twin turbo 335hp/380lb-ft V6 which is a lot more powerful than the XT5’s V6.
The Test Drive I love the look of both. My lease on my 2015 Ats ends in September. So I'm looking for a luxury SUV without paying more than 50k

Why does every car you drive look so dirty inside and out ?!
Well the weather in NY sucks so thats part of it. Like I just washed my X5 yesterday and within one hour of sitting in my driveway it was covered in pollen. And some of these cars are rentals so they don't get cleaned as well as the dealer cars. Some are also direct from an owner and in those cases I really can't clean someone else's car! haha

It actually does check the trunk and there should be a spare tire. There is one in ours
My 2019 came with a spare.
