I really like Kirk. You can see he's totally a kid at heart, and always such a nice and down to earth guy in interviews and documentaries. And what a fantastic collection of horror memorabilia.

To play guitar personally for 12 years now, and have LESSONS on the stuff he played and wrote, the legendary solos he put down in the studio with only 5 takes to nail it or they are out of tape for him. While learning them I STRUGGLED to get down his stuff over several hours, days, weeks, the things he got off the top of his head in minutes, that truly shows me great he really is, don't follow the heard because it's cool, the man can fuckin play.
His guitar playing has gone to a higher level in 2022. Some of their live stuff has blown md away from the last few months. Kirk has been playing like he’s in a shamanic trance, tapping into some kind of cosmic record

Kirk is a pure collector, he doesn’t try to show off or show pride he’s simply an advanced collector who happens to be famous. He strikes me as a person who is still the same kid he was decades ago and his passion remains unchanged. Each piece means a lot to him and he has never forgotten where he came from. Because of that...I always enjoy watching him talk about his collection.

"Am I collecting stuff or is this stuff collecting me?" What a great line, love it! Sounds like an idea right out of Tales from the Crypt or Night Gallery. Personally, I think it's very profound. I believe (some of) the stuff find us and it's obvious that Kirk has such a passion and deep respect for this stuff that there's no question it's found the right home. Stuff outlives us. Enjoy it, keep taking great care of it, keep being a good steward for these iconic pieces, you deserve them. 100 yrs from now, they'll belong to someone else, I'm sure they'll be very grateful to you for lovingly caring for this irreplaceable memorabilia.

I remember when they came to play in San Antonio in 2017. That was my very first Metallica concert ever. Of course I had to get backstage passes. I couldn’t resist. I remember the feelings that overwhelmed me when I met Kirk because I am such a huge fan. After listening to their music from when I was just six years old, leading up to that moment and meeting my favorite guitar player, I was excited to meet Kirk, and I have to say he was the nicest person ever

I actually just got the book & I love it. It's beautifully conceived, very interesting because of the variety of subjects that come up in his interview and the stories behind how he's acquired all his items. It's clear that it's been made out of pure passion & that he's put in a lot of hard work. It's really wonderfully kind of him to share it with us in this book. Thank you dearly, Kirk (if you ever read this).
All right, here's the thing, im not a true metallica fan, i love metal, but i don't like metallica too much, i like some songs actually, but im a gorehound, i love horror, and every single thing you got there, so my respects man, you have an AWESOME collection right there, if i ever get to see that room full of bizarre horror stuff, i would get high just by watching that..... so jealous. greetings from Colombia.

Wow this is cool to know that your a nerd just like us....I remember growing up and still having that urge to collect figures no matter what my age, still to this date. I always felt weird letting people know I buy toys as a grown man, people expect you just to buy a house have a family, grow old and die. But knowing I am not alone in this and that you should do what makes you happy. Of course all within the budget......I say to HELL with all those judge mental people and keep collecting. Kirk Hammett YOU ROCK and I cant wait for your book to come out.
hectorjr121 Hey dude, I don`t know how old you are, but I`m 21 and still love to collect Action Figures and toys of all kinds, from movies like star wars to Marvel and some anime heroes. Sometimes people call me child and think I`m weird for collecting all these stuff, so it`s really really nice to know that there are some like me outthere!! I`ll just keep doing what I like to do!! All these stuff remind me of not taking life as serious as adults are supposed to take.

I love Kirk man... for one since I was a kid in the 90's listening to Metallica (born 89) cause of my dad, and older influences I loved Kirks amazing guitar... two I love how humble he is, even with all his fame, he has zero ego, he's such a laid back chill, sweet guy, the total opposite of what the normal person would expect Metallicas guitarist to be like.... and three He's a horror nerd! He's a kid at heart, a collector, nerd, and fan of horror like myself. Man this guy is the best. He deserves his fortune, and fame. Kirk if you ever read this keep killing it brother! You the man. 🤘🏼

What a treat this is. Here it is 2022 and I watched this not too long ago. I had watched the Gibson channel with Kirk talking about his love of horror movies. I definitely identified with it. I used to live in Riverside, CA 68-71 and half of '74 and I watched Creature Features but I'm unsure if it was the same one. I do remember seeing a commercial for it with a voiceover saying "Creature Feature(s)...hahaha...on Channel 11. I have a weird long term memory. Anyway, I never found out if it's true that Kirk Hammett owns the Silver Sphere. I read that somewhere a long time ago. I'm just curious because I loved the "Phantasm" movie even if my son thinks the special effects are old school haha. Man, those sculptures of Bela and Boris are far out.
He should do one of those scare pranks with that mask. LOL

What a cool guy, I could sit and talk to him for hours about his collection, and what a great collection it is! with Mike Hill sculptures and Basil Gogos paintings and posters that I can only dream of owning one day, I hope he brings his Horror Movie Collection to the D.C or Baltimore Maryland area one day, I would love to see it!

It's an excellent book, for sure, and here's hoping it becomes an actual museum exhibit someday. I would love to see all of these paintings, posters, masks, toys, and especially the original props on display, for all of us creepy kids and lifelong monster fans to enjoy!

I'm 55 and from Australia. I remember watching Creature Feature with my Mother on Friday night all those years ago when I was very young. Wonderful memories. And I also remember going to see Metallica at your first Australian or Sydney concert at the Hordern Pavillion. Way back in 1989 or 1990. Great concert.
