Seems like there are more uniqueness and diversity in these four routines shown here than in all elite floor routines in the last decade.
It’s sad the Federation of International Gymnastics killed artistry. It started when they removed compulsory exercises. And the floor back then was not anywhere near as springy and todays gymnasts would struggle with the floor and vault and springboard being so hard back then. even beam was not as cushioned
my prayers that the romanian team regroups and come storming in France 2024!
Probably the best Romanian Floor Rotation. I can actually enjoy these routines without being bored to death. Leo Cosma their Choreographer did so well with these routines, I wished that Leo worked with the girls in the later years.

A side note, seriously watch how these girls finished and saluted after their tumbling pass. Even the salute and step out were pure elegance and in control (Silivas omg).
Tired of watching all those bounce here and there nowadays.
And Voinea moon walking into the corner was such a breath of fresh air, instead of all those one-leg-up-pretense-choreography nowadays.
Really miss that era of gymnastics.

Silivas salute after the first pass is my favourite of all time. I despise the non-existent ones these days where they just awkwardly gesture to regain balance. Bring back lunges and elegance!
I hate the rule that the women have to stick floor landings now. The step out is safer and looks much nicer
@@kballet2001don’t worry, nowadays gymnasts have a hard time sticking landings on the trampoline mat the floor area has become 😂😂😂
I could only imagine the energy at these Worlds! The crowd was really behind the Romanians! Man, how I wish I was there to witness this!

Thank you for putting together this video of my all-time favourite team. As someone who was there that night, though, I can tell you that Camelia Voinea was not last up in the line-up. She was fourth up. Her routine was shown after Dobre's and Silivas's in the broadcast as a replay of something that had happened earlier. Silivas was last up and had the crowd eating out of her hand.
May explain why Voinea's score gets revealed immediately.

The quality of this Romanian team is incredible, but only Camelia Voinea's choreography really matches the 1989 Soviet floor choreo imo. Her floor is so beautiful, fluid and innovative, I never get bored of it !

I miss back to back tumbling runs. The CoP has downgraded them, so they're just not used anymore. What a shame! The FIG has destroyed the art in artistic gymnastics.

The art and the enormous crowd-pleasing qualities of back-to-back tumbling! The powers that be who made the decision to downgrade such tumbling, and to hardly reward true artistry - they're all IDIOTS!

I live for this era. Voinea's 10 is earned for simply defying gravity in that DLO/punch front opening pass that is clearly too low. I wish the great champions of today would insist on better choreography. The routines today seem so...tasky.

@@illwill5523 not tacky. “Tasky”. As if they’re going down the list of requirements and checking things off. The composition of routines suffers a lot nowadays. Look at Korbut’s 72 beam routine. Each gesture has a beginning, a middle and an end.

Lunges were allowed as long as they were “controlled.”
