- After many requests and searching in archives: Textures Music Video for the song 'Awake' (from the album 'Silhouettes'), is now available in 4K.
The video was shot at the beginning of October in the Belgian Ardennes under the supervision of director @robhodselmans (GEM, Room 11) and producer David Leite from Hazazah. The video has been made possible thanks to a generous grant from the Dutch TAX funds an incentive from the Dutch Government to assist Dutch artists with audio/visual output.

We miss you guys and you can't actually know how much, you were one of a kind band with your own sound, powerful riffs, deep melodies and crazy timing patterns. Wish you reunite somehow in the future, this album meant A LOT to me at the time it came out. Cheers from Spain Richard!

Holy moly, I never realised that Silhouettes came out in 2008. Thats way before Animals as Leaders (2009), Periphery (2010), Tesseracts Concealing Fate EP (2010), Vildhjartas Masstaden (2011) and Monuments' Gnosis (2012).
You guys where so ahead of the curve that time and some real OGs of the Djent genre. So glad I could see you on your last tour in Berlin. Hope you all are doing well!
Drawing circles in 2006 (saw them on 21 May 2006, was awesome), and Polars in the mists of 2003! Young Man was my introduction to Textures, loved where they took it next. Definitely ahead of the curve.
Man this is crazy. I remember my friends brother asking me if I ever heard of “djent” and showed me Textures, Sybreed, and Meshuggah. That changed my life for ever. Then Periphery came out and I was hooked.
@@jasonfitzgerald90 Sybreed was doing proto-djent back in 2004, thats even more insane. One of my favorites as well.
They were really ahead of the game, I remember hearing them in the mid-late 00s and it blew my mind. Been a life long fan ever since and one of my favourite bands of all time. These guys changed my life and even till the end their production was more live and raw than any metal band. Also a fucking brilliant live band.
Djent is cringe. Textures preceded djent and continued to transcend it throughout the years. It's first league progressive metal, if we even want labels.
So bloody underrated.... Amazing vocals, guitar tone, production. Should've been a hit.

14 years ago, I was in awe of this song, the lyrics, the voice, the band, the drummer’s insane syncopation pattern. And I’m still in awe. You guys was the best thing to come along. You practically filled a void which the name of the band more than adequately describes.

As a big drinking Brit boy that loves jazz-fusion, prog-rock/metal etc... I love your music and this video is just top-notch cinematography. I was so glad that my good friend Simon hosted you for the very first "Tech-Fest in around 2012 or 2013, the world didn't end then but it shall in some respects shortly;
Alton near Peterborough, then that great year with Animals As Leaders etc...
All I wish to say is this is a brilliant piece of music and stock up on as much dry and canned food as you can.
