Miss these guys so much. I caught them on tour with The Contortionist on one of their few US tours. In my opinion, they represent the best songwriting in the post-Meshuggah era by far. They keep it mathy but somehow the prog becomes secondary to their songwriting. This Dualism album itself is borderline cinematic - ten years old and still ahead of its time. Thanks Audiotree for doing this!
Holy mother of god, I had listened to these guys in the past but this made me realize I never got to appreciate how good they actually were live. Any verbal description would be an understatement, I feel.
This is the epitome of what our generation of progressive shit is supposed to be. Tight performances from talented players doing big, moving, super technical pieces. Nothing pretentious here. Just talented guys making it look easy and making people feel good.
Try their album 'Silhouettes' (2008), it's really a hidden gem. Songs like 'Awake', 'One Eye For a Thousand', 'Old Days Born Anew'... all quality compositions. Also their album 'Dualism' from 2011 is great. They no longer exist which sucks
saw them back in 2013, Silhouettes is one of the best albums ever, unrelentingly groovy and Dualism just so moody and cinematic. both Eric and Daniel gave different meaning to those albums.
who do they think they are? the sex pistols? did you hear when the guy with the microphone tried to sing? i am crying with laughter. what a joke, this should come with a warning. this is so lame. digga digga digga im so happy... fuck! fuck thats bad. omg. this is what metal sounds like if abba tried to play it. if abba did i'd think it was ok. this is so dutch.
@ SonicWavePassenger Music One interesting, and sad, result of having internet anonymity is the loss of the premise that "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." Of course everyone has a right to their own opinion, but what good can come of you coming here and trashing the band that all the other commenters love? Does that make you cool? Does that feel good?

About time even if they've split up :(. Best Dutch Prog Metal band I dare to say.
I would add "Drawing Circles" (which is 2006, I guess) to "Silhouettes". I saw them live during Silhouettes era. It was golden!
My favorite metal band I miss you guys

How do you manage carrying all that edge around with you all day?
