Just a heads up, new videos will be every Monday and Thursday at 8pm (in Vietnam). Glad to finally be back in Vietnam for a little bit and able to invest in the channel some more. A lot more to come soon. Much love, Max.
Hi Max, even your channel is great, but if you can add just a little bit information of historical places, food, people etc.., I think ( just my personal opinion) it has potential to spread wide and far . There are still many unique places around Saigon that haven’t been discovered yet . Vietnam has one of the oldest and most continuous histories of any nation. I can provide you with material. Again just my personal opinion , I bet you already know better than I do .
@@bellagialinh5193 I agree. I've suggested similar things in the past. I also asked him to do top 5-10 banh mi, xoi, etc...and he said he would, but never saw it so I hope he'll do it as Chad Kubanoff is doing it now.
This place looks delicious! And Auntie looks so kind. Nem nuong is probably one of my favorite 5 sausages in the world. I am saying this as an Scandinavian and Italian dude who grew up with German brats, Swedish sausages like isterband and prinskorv, and Italian deli salsicia. It's up there, especially when skewered and cooked on portable charcoal grill. It's perfect.
I love how nice looking, clean, and modern that place is - an actual sit down restaurant is a good change from street side stuff operated out of the home. It's great to change it up every now and then...which includes getting a camera person. But you need a stabilizer or something as it's a bit shaky filming. Nem nuong looks AMAZING!!! And the owner is so sweet.
The genuine, warm and fun interactions with the locals is what sets your videos apart from all the other TH-camrs in Vietnam. I hope it doesn’t change with the increase in production. But happy to see you doing really well and I wish you all the best! ❤👏😊
Everything looks so good and clean. Every time watching your TH-cam, I just want to go back to VN right away. The boss lady is super nice ❤ and you received the good Kama ❤

Your Vietnamese is amazing, Max! The local seems to love you. Keep it up! Really enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing your love of vietnamese foods to the world!
In addition to the veggies and herbs, there's also the myriad sauces/dips that goes with many of the meals. Vietnamese food is very interactive and customizable, too. It's very unique in many ways and yet so delicious!
Not all Vietnamese dishes have a lot of raw vegetables. More or less depends on the region. The northern dishes have less vegetables, the southern people consume a lot of vegetables. The main reason is the soil in the south is very rich to farm rice, fruit and vegetables.
Other countries need to learn from the master of veggies, vietnamese rule the world of herbs... no countries can challenge vietnamese . This is the center of herbagastronomy.
Thank you so much for sharing Quán Nem nướng Nha Trang by Cô Điệp, Max. It was absolutely divine! I wish I could be there when coming back to Sài Gòn next year. Vietnamese people are renowned for being very hospitable. 🇬🇧❤️❤️
This deconstructed meal is picky-eater approved 😊😊😊😊 I tried the sauce for nem nuong for the first time in da lat. ever since then I fell in love. It was def one of my favorite meals! I’ve only ever had fish sauce or peanut sauce to dip. I tried SO many different sauces in Vietnam you’d never find in the states! 👅
I was not expecting it to be so big inside! From the outside, it looked like a small space with a couple seats. But upon entering, the place just opens up!
@maxmmaxmcfarlina Hello Max. Were you the same person who sent me Kristen the text from this fan a couple of days. Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you!
I love your channel bro. I’m Vietnamese myself from Toronto Canada and I miss vietnam. The last time I was their was in 2004. I can’t wait to go back and bring my son. Keep up the great work.
I need to definitely go here when i come back to Vietnam. 11:20 that is what i call the money shot. The owner is such a lovely lady, if ever i see her i'll say Max sent me.. thank you Max once again

This place looks so clean and spacious, with aesthetic decorations. For a food place inside an alley, it's almost look like a fine dining family restaurant, not like the regular local restaurants that sell economy rice. Max's food knowledge is still great as usual, but Max's Vietnamese is very high level now. Not many Westerners who didn't grow up in Vietnam learn to use "cô, con" when talking. I know Chris is an exception because he's a language lover. If Max keeps being this good utilizing his Vietnamese, I think he will just get all the free meals or extra gifts from these owners/ ladies. You gotta insist to pay her next time, no matter what, my man. You know some Vietnamese people aren't that straightforward like us Westerners. In the West, if the owner say you don't have to pay, there's a high chance they mean it. But in Vietnam, they give free stuffs to you because they value the friendship or sentiment, because they appreciate you, because they adore you. You gotta do something for her in return. I think if she doesn't want you to pay, then the best bet is just advertise her restaurant to the world. Don't make her feel that her generosity is given to the wrong person. What a lovely lady!
Oh wow! From this camera perspective you look so tall but I also feel like I’m sitting down to a meal with you. Food looks amazing and neighborhood looked nice too. As always…thanks for bringing us along.
I love nem nuong and like you, I don't like the pink colouring. I also prefer my dipping/fish sauce to be a tad more sour too! This looks absolutely scrumptious! So lovely of the owner to gift you some takeaway sauces and wow, your meals on the house! Thanks for showing us X
Love your videos. I notice you don’t dip the rice paper in water to soften it. Amazed it doesn’t just crumble when you take a bite. Is that more customary? I’ve always softened it with water to soften it to roll.
man i am from the balkans exactly from Macedonia we have a lot of specific country food , but these asian espessialy Vietnam is on another level you guys are living the best life there
Max, seriously please eat for me, I would spend even 30dollors in USA the food doesn't even come close to tasting like true Vietnamese food and doesn't even look appetizing. I giving up in eating out with Vietnamese food altogether here in US. This is why I don't get tired of watching eat because I can feel that you truly enjoy Vietnamese food and most the time you even get to it for free, amazing. The best things in life is truly for free.
the reason they cut the eggrolls in half that way so you could roll with the nem nuong or roll them up into a roll and when you dip in the sauce less of the topping will fall back into the sauce.
That's what I told him earlier, too. With his knowledge of Vietnamese food, I was surprised he didn't surmise that's what he was supposed to do right away...or his camera man should have told him. When we eat goi cuon at home, we always roll it up like the way he rolled the nem nuong then dip and eat.
Just a heads up, new videos will be every Monday and Thursday at 8pm (in Vietnam). Glad to finally be back in Vietnam for a little bit and able to invest in the channel some more. A lot more to come soon. Much love, Max.

I love the way Max change his video style. Keep going, bro!
The dialogue with subtitles are instrumental in learning Vietnamese. I’ve learned more from this than 25 years married to Vietnamese.
