Please tell us where the wight walkers got those massive chains AND how they got them around Viserion who was deep underwater when he was killed by the Night King.
Dragon fire is a combination of a liquid fuel and fire. This is why normally inflammable stuff like armor and stone castles burn. Sunfyre was injured and leaking this fuel when hit by Vhagar so he was combusted internally. Otherwise dragons are very fire resistant. The round and round dance maneuver between Vhagar and Meleys was to shield their riders from the dragonfire with their bodies.
No bro if you read the book of Martin it is about the spirit of the dragons protect the dragons, Oldest dragon are not fire proof since there's no spirit include in all dragons. But the modern dragons of Daenery are not like the same of oldest Dragons all Dragon in Daenery time is a fire proof since they had all the spirit of the Dragons protecting them in a fire, while not all Targaryen is not fire proof this is because spirit of the Dragons are choosing a future lord of the Dragons and Chosen one it's Daenery not Viserys even Viserys wants to be a King but the Spirit of the Dragons are not on him and he is not the Lord of the Dragons, he is also not having a connection to the Dragons it's all Daenery the Future of the Dragons, so Viserys are not fire proof he is only an ordinary Targaryen.
I personally think “fire cannot kill a dragon” does not apply specifically the the magical thing that is Dragon fire! I feel like fire and dragon fire are two very different things
Sunfyre had also been severely clawed up and injured from Meleys before being hit with dragon fire. Also, Sunfyre is not dead at that point, unless the show is changing that from the books.
The dragons weren't necessarily afraid of what was beyond the wall-- the wall was constructed with ancient magic, something the dragons weren't able to ignore. Therefore, they weren't able to cross the wall. Dany and her dragons going over the wall in GoT should not have been possible, which is why it's so annoying that D&D just...disregarded that fact.
Daenerys is never seen crossing the wall with her dragons, she probably passed by it at Eastwatch-by-the-Sea, which is also the place they return to after the fight.
There were wards built into the wall by Brandon the Builder to keep the whitewalkers out. Those wards also kept dragons from crossing since they're magical beings. Again... according to book lore.
NOTHING MAKES SENSE.. Benjen stark said the dead can’t pass the wall because of magic but they took a DEAD MAN TO KINGS LANDING to show Cersie.. so clearly they can pass the wall..and the dead tried to kill commander Mormont.. so many questions..
Dany’s eggs weren’t the ones shown in HotD. The director of that episode said they were, but the show runner denied it and in the book (made by the creator of the story…) it’s highly suggested they were born of Dreamfyre and taken to Essos by Elissa Farman.
It would make a lot more sense for them to be born of Dreamfyre in the show too anyways since they all seem to resemble her more than Syrax, given that was her in the first season down in the keep scaring Aemond. (At least I think that was her lol)
@@derky76 oh for sure lol I think the director was talking out of her ass but Ryan Condal denied that 🙄 it was just something she specifically decided and the show-only fandom ran with it 🤦🏻♀️
@mlynareknicolle2 the show runner never denied they were the same eggs! He barely said its up to interpretation and he just wants the answer to that to be open for several possibilities for the future. Furthermore "implications" in the book are hardly are proof for anything.
Exactly, especially because Elissa was queen Rhaena’s lover, and had access to Dreamfyre. When their affair ended, Elissa took the eggs as revenge. The only logical dragon the eggs would have come from is Dreamfyre. Now GRRM and HOTD are trying to backtrack on all of this and say that what was portrayed in HOTD is actually canon and Dany’s eggs are from Syrax. It makes zero sense and they are just trying to make more of a genetic lineage connection between Rhaenyra and Dany, even though it’s already there. Plus, all of Dany’s dragons look like Dreamfyre. Meanwhile, all of all of Syrax’s offspring (Vermax, Arrax, Stormcloud, and Tyraxes) look like her. At least Ryan Condal has spoken out and clarified that it’s absolutely NOT definitive that Dany’s eggs are Syrax’s and that HOTD is leaving this to be ambitious.
I just realized, in S2 EP3 of HoD, in the scene where Rhaenerya and Allison were in the Sept, Allison was saying how Aegon was the prince that was promised when Rhaenerya said "...he spoke to you of the Song of Ice and Fire". But, in GoT when Samuel Tarly was training to be a maester the Grand Maester was writing a book about the wars following the death of King Robert but never found a good name for it. In the last episode of GoT , Sam gives Tryion the book and he said he called it a Song of Ice and Fire (which is basically the prophecy Aegon had). But the prophecy was already called a Song of Ice and Fire 172 years before the events of GoT. sorry this was in my head now I can sleep peacefully
Haven’t watched WatchMojo in years… Started watching House of the Dragon, and this bad boy pops up. You guys were a part of my childhood. I’m so glad to see y’all are still going strong!
I'm sensing a somewaht plot hole in this - if the Dream was passed on from Targearyen ruler to another - why didn't the Targaryens not take the North Wall seriously? Why didn't they help the Starks on their Night's Watch efforts?
I think they did, but 6000 years ago the original Bran Stark built the wall , and they knew the Starks treated it as priority number 1 . They were probably happy the Starks and the North had it under control.
In the books, it mentions "The gift" given to the Night's Watch by one of the Targearyon kings/queens. This is a massive swath of land south of the wall to provide perpetual income and provision (food, trees, etc.) for the men serving on the wall.
The ending of Games of Thrones was so stupid. Two full series talking about the Targaryen prince that was promised and it ends up being Arya who kills the night king. SO STUPID !!
Ha, disagree. The Night King spent thousands of years never being challenged by anyone. Current lore doesn't mention this at all. Then a lethal assassin, now wise to the ways of the White Walkers (due to almost dying from them), takes advantage of their enemy's distraction (who is fully focussed on their mortal enemy, finally within their grasp, and therefore not seriously focussed on or concerned for their own safety due to their arrogance, and thus pays the price), and then kills them, is a surprise to you? Why don't you just admit you're a chauvinist? As a guy I have zero issues with Arya killing the Night King. She was hugely skilled. He was arrogant and assumed he had won at that moment.
@@tmwhite82lol it’s cool to see a guy actually call this out, there’s so much thinly veiled misogynistic weirdness in the GOT fans community. Like Arya killing the night king wasn’t the problem or why the long night felt so unsatisfying. It was a series long build up to a battle over in a single episode. A badly written battle that’s extremely unrealistic and ungrounded, even for a literal supernatural fantasy battle. If it was Jon that killed him the season would have still sucked and been lack luster. People shout about it like that’s somehow the worst part of the ending. Doesn’t even make my list. If anything, the writers inability to actually write women killed the final seasons. Ah yes Arya who grew up inspired by Visenya Targaryen and loved powerful women, meets Daenerys and it’s instant cat fight. Daenerys after all the growth and development as a conquerer and battle strategist, forgets about the iron fleet. Dany who could have conquered Mereen and the iron islands but instead set them up for independent rule, goes insane at the thought of the north being independent. Ellaria Sand, who in the books hates senseless revenge and would never do what the lannisters allowed, who loves her family above all kills an innocent girl. The girl her nephew loved. She commits the act the love of her life stood against with his whole soul. But sure, Arya killing the night king ruined the show 🙄
@@tmwhite82you are completely off. Even if you want to say that Jon Snow did “save” the realm by killing Danny, that is NOT what the prophecy said at all. Now, even more through HOTD, it directly refers to the idea that winter is coming via the threat of the white walkers. So, to the poster’s point that you are responding to, he is correct. There was a prophecy that was directly related to a Targaryen who was to be the savior, and their story was a song of ice and fire. Danny does not fulfill that and Arya certainly doesn’t. No one gives a shit that a girl killed the night king. It was built up for eight years, there was a whole prophecy behind it, and it literally went no where. There are SEVERAL plot lines that were brought up and just forgotten. How many scenes where there about the voice that Varys heard in the fire? Where did that go? That’s what people are annoyed with.
@@Hollyh666I’m going to disagree with you too. I don’t think the poster said or meant that Arya killing the night king ruined the show. But it was stupid. It drops the entire prophecy plot line. A lot of Arya’s journey was focused on her kill list, and that was also just dropped. Really? You’re going to deny her Cersei and let Cersei die in the dumbest most unsatisfying way possible? I like that the Hound stopped her from killing herself just so he could do the same, but a large part of the reason she decided to join the faceless men was for revenge. She even left the faceless men because she still wanted her identity and revenge on those that had wronged the Starks was part of that. There were a lot of things that crapped on the end of GOT, and the way the night king went out was just another one.
So glad others also see this. Aria killing the night king was beautiful and unexpected BUT. If she had given the dager to Jon , throwing it at him. SO many different ways. Then yes Jon was the prince that was promised and killing the night king would have had a more belivale ending.
When Daenerys arrives at the wall for the battle, she does make the comment that the dragons are acting strange because they don't like the South. Good video!
THE EGGS THAT RHAENYRA SENT ALONG WITH RHAENA ARE NOT THE SAME DANY WAS GIFTED: Ellissa Farman stole the 3 dragon in 54 AC from Dragonstone, and left for Pentos. Ellissa was Rhaena Targaryen's lover and in anger she stole Dreamfyre's eggs. She sold the eggs to buy a fleet of ships. If i remember correctly they ended up at the Iron Bank. Years later they ended up a wedding gift to Dany. Look it up... it is all written in black and white.
Here are a few clarifications / corrections which may help: 1) Not all the houses in the North worship the Old Gods - House Manderly of White Harbor worship the Seven, as they were originally from Dunstonbury in the Reach. As far as the houses south of the Neck, in addition to House Blackwood not worshipping the Seven , the people on the Iron Islands don't either (they worship the Drowned God.) Additionally, while most people in Dorne presumably worship the Seven, Dorne does host at least one Temple of R"hllor (the Lord of Light). 2) Heat resistance may be something, like dragon dreams, that may be a trait of some Valyrians, but not all. It's strongly implied in Season 1 Episode 6 that Jacaerys may possess heat resistance while Lucerys does not. 3). In addition to House Targaryen and House Velaryon surviving the Doom, there were a few other Valyrians of note who did as well: - Some dragonriders and their dragons who were in Lys and Tyrosh survived the Doom but were killed by the locals soon afterwards. - Aurion (family name unknown) was in Qohor during the Doom; he and his dragon disappeared after leading an expedition to the ruins of Valyria. - Jaehaelor Mataeryon and his she-dragon were also in Qohor during the Doom, but he was killed in Volantis soon after his dragon died. - House Celtigar of Claw Isle (Lord Bartimos Celtigar is one of Rhaenyra's advisors; the one she slapped across the face). - Additionally, House Baratheon and House Qoherys were houses of Valyrian descent, but they were raised up to the status of nobility during Aegon's Conquest. - It's strongly suggested that Valyrian blood (or DNA by our standards) is still represented among the nobility in Volantis, and in Lys both the nobility and a sizable number of the smallfolk have some as well. 4). Daenerys's dragons were able to travel north of the Wall, but this was only after the Night King touched Bran Stark, so presumably the magic that prevented Vermithor and Silverwing from going north of the wall was no longer in effect. As far as questions I'd like to see answered, the primary one would be this: What prevented the Targaryens from hatching more dragons after the Dance up until Daenerys hatched hers? The only answer we get from George RR Martin is that Daenerys instinctively knew what needed to be done in order to hatch her dragons from the eggs, but we do know that there were many failed attempts by House Targaryen prior to that.
i read theory that all dragons egg got poisoned(/harmed in simillar way ) by dragon keepers that had enought looking at the destruction of kingdoms. Daenerys eggs came from Pentos so it would not be affected by this betrayal
I would love to have that same answer as well. I wonder if it had something to do with the Dragon Keepers either defecting from the Blacks for them bringing in bastard riders, and either being killed or defecting as well from Kings Landing after the assault on the Pits. Maybe they had the secrets to dragon survival and took them to their graves, and that's why no one knew how to keep the species going?
Also worth noting that the Citadel killed all the dragons and eggs to prevent another Dance. What is intellect and knowledge when there is magic, sorcery, glass candles, and dragons? They did it to gain power.
Meleys almost ripped Sunfyre wing off and ripped into his stomach. It wasn't the flames that immobilized Sunfyre, it was Meleys. The fire burned Aegon and everything else, not Sunfyre. Thats why Rhaenys and Meleys are remembered for their validation and bravery during the battle. Read the books and rewatch the show.
@@CurriedBat "However, the battle proved to be a ploy when King Aegon and Prince Aemond Targaryen suddenly appeared upon Sunfyre and Vhagar above Rook's Rest. Rhaenys turned to meet the attack, despite the knowledge that Meleys had no hope of success against the two dragons. According to Archmaester Gyldayn, Meleys might have stood a chance against the older Vhagar alone, but not against Vhagar and Sunfyre combined. The dragons met violently in the air, a thousand feet above the field, with their fireballs bursting as bright as the sun. Meleys managed to close her jaw around Sunfyre's neck, just as Vhagar fell upon them, and all three dragons fell from the sky. They crashed to the ground so hard that stones fell from the battlements of Rook's Rest, half a league away. From the ashes, only Aemond and Vhagar rose unharmed." Direct quote from Fire & Blood
People don't know that if a dragon grow, his fire becomes hotter and his scales become more resistant to lower fires Also each dragon in the books has his own fire color
You say read the books while spitting made up shit😂😂😂😂.. In the show: sunfyre was still flying and was still up to fight maelys not trying to flee for a single second, then Vhagar enters the fight and breathes fire on sunfyre and instantly sunfyre falls to the ground full of flames and screaming and then unconscious, with fire all around on the trees. (Verdict: Vhagar did 99% of the damage on sunfrye) In the books: all that's stated in the books is about how Vhagar basically came from above and put both dragons down. Nothing about maelys almost ripping a wing off from sunfyre or anything of the sort (Verdict: Vhagar put both dragons down)
@@lauraacuapan1616Aegon has no way of knowing what's happened to sunfyre.. same for Rhaenyra.. they just left him there.. they're setting the whole thing to surprise the viewers with his come back, cause the scene where they find him is cool asf, he's slithering through the smoke of the battlefield eating dead soldiers and then defeated an entire team black army that came to take back the castle by himself
My question is. Wasn't Tyrion a Targaryen bastard? He had almost white hair. Had visions of dragons as a kid. He wanted one as a kid. He was able to free the 2 dragons . Killed his mother at birth like many targaryens.Tywin hated him and said he wasn't his son.
That's one theory. Aerys was obsessed with Tywin's wife and r**** her which resulted in Tyrion. Also...who else was disappointed that we only had one scene with Cragen Stark??
Nah they can definitely be harmed by normal fire as well.. The thing is, the bigger the dragon is the hotter his fire will be, and they're also more resistant the bigger they are
Suggestion: Re-do Seasons 5,6,7 and 8. Pretend like it was one of Bran's visions or visits(to the future this time), that might explain the bad ending that doesn't follow the prophecy.

The prophesy stated that when the war with the dead came a Targayen must be seated on the Iron Thrown, but that did not happen. Daenarys did not occupy that thrown until Cersei was dethroned (died), long after the Long Night battle - corresponding with the Night King's defeat.
I found a good theory the only reason Danny was “fireproof” was because the witch tricked her. The spell backtracked and helped the hatching of the eggs and also strengthened the blood magic of the targs in Danny so it made her fireproof. And her skin didn’t burn in the books but her hair did
If you go on a mythology basis Dragon fire has been considered the hottest form (other than undead dragon fire which was blue) I thought the 2 was showing that some targereons were heat resistant/fireproof but not from dragon fire itself. Targereons were massive with inbreeding to keep the bloodline pure. This insinuates a dragon blood bond etc which can also be an explanation to how different members can be more fireproof than others. Would indicate something different in their blood that can be more present in some than others
In the novels, Jon Snow grabbed the sword from a fire. It left a scar on his hsnd but he didnt feel the burning. Throughout the novels he keeps looking at his hand and remembering. Danny also has a scalding hot water bath but isnt burnt.
Jon Snow had problems gripping things for a good while afterwards. He may not have noticed the burning when it happened because of the massive adrenaline rush and stress he was in at the time.
I have a question if you remember in scene with Tryion and Jamie Tryion talked about one prson who always kill beetles with stone i didnt find answer for this? Why he killed beetles
Although #1 is the most intruiging, I can help you with #2 at least: Tyrion walks into a brothel with a honeycomb and a jackass. Madame: What can we do for you? Tyrion: I need a woman to lay with, for mine has left me. Madame: Whatever for? And what's with the honeycomb and the mule? Tyrion: My woman found a genie in a bottle, and he granted her three wishes. The first was for a house fit for a queen, so he gave her this damn honeycomb. The second wish was that she have the nicest ass in all the land, so he gave her this damn donkey... Madame: And what about the third wish? Tyrion: Well... she asked the genie to make my cock hang down past my knee. Madame: Well that one's not so bad eh? Tyrion: Not so bad!? I used to be six foot three!
In season 8 they pretty much revealed what Podrick did. I believe he sang to the women he slept with. As for the other thing, I am very curious to hear the full joke.
Targaryens aren't immune to fire. They do have a higher tolerance for heat, but George himself has said Dany wasn't fireproof and that she was unknowingly performing blood magic every time she walked through the flames.
1:07 Didnt Aegon mention in season finale that his dragon Sunfyre is dead? May be this fire-proof think is valid for other fires while dragon fire could be a special one that can burn a Targaryen.
7:10 sounds good but it had absolutely nothing to do with being scared of what's on the other side of the wall, ancient spells are woven into the Wall that stops dragons from crossing. One of the many things dumb and dumber decided to ignore
Traveling through fire at a great speed without being within the heat for a prolonged time could mean you don't get burned at all. That's why you can move your hand over a flame or even run through fire as long as its not for too long.
The older a Dragon gets the hotter there flames get and the harder and more protective thus more fireproof there scales get, hence why Vhagar could burn Sunfyre.
Dragon fire and normal fire both generates totally different heat. Dragons are immune to the normal fire not dragon fire. When dragon extinct they started to use wildfire, which is almost similar to the dragon fire.
@@dand412it was implied that she was guided (by visions) how to cast them without actually knowing she was casting spells. It’s the gods at work for sure.
I still felt like this little nuggets of info left for a season 2 that was lackluster and devoid of the storyline from the first few seasons of GoT and season 1 of HotD
Dragons are immune to normal fire but can be harmed by another dragon's fire or by wild fire (the green kind created by alchemists). Same thing for Targaryens but not all, only those who have dragon blood (that is, those who can ride dragons)
I don't what the big deal is ,when comes to last season of"House of Dragon ".Since like what there was not enough war in it ,instead more dialogue instead like Quentin Tarantino movie .Since seemed like a cool season with a another major build up at the end of it ,which seems to a "Game of Thrones " and "House of Dragon " .Besides the Mojo gang has done the differences between the books and the shows ,and I have yet read the books yet !
Well if you did read the books you'll know it's only one season left in the show 😂they stretched out this one because they flew through the first season to quickly. HoT is the PG 13 version of GoT😂barely any fighting, no sex, no nudity, no cursing😂completely different tone just looks similar. I think the new series coming out will be the same
There is a channel on YT called Talking Thrones about 3 years ago he did a season 8 rewrite and a season 9 both videos are a few hours long . Personally I thought his versions were way better than hbo ‘s version .
Denearys had that magical power of not burning , just like helaena had power to see the future , and danny walked in fire 2 times not just while giving birth to dragons.
@@RiRiLiscis nope, not true. The blue dragon that it shows at the end of the season 2 finale is Tessarion, the dragon of Prince Daeron. Daeron is the youngest son of Viserys and Alicent. Also, if you read the book, you would definitely know better.
I havent read the books, so there might be an answer to this. However, i wonder if Danny survived the flames, so the prophecy could happen and the night king could be defeated.
I always imagine that Jon Snows son or daughter would find him and claim him. I also think Drogon took Dany beyond the wall and we now have a Knight Queen! Gathering strength to claim her prize. The world!! 😱😱😱
Laenor Velaryon, Lord Corly's and Rhaenys firstborn son, and first husband to Rhaenyra.. presumed dead, probably a free man in Essos, and a dragon rider. That dragon, Seasmoke, let itself get a new rider.. Is that a confirmation of Leanor's death?
Not when every episode is sooo boring 😂when was the last time you saw any boobs or even a butt on this show 😂it's just lesbians talking for the entire episode
I truly hope and wonder that if and when George finally finishes the last books, could there be an alternative ending chnage to GOT n the show. It's wishful thinking, since Max would have gather a lot the actors and resources to do so. But that would redeem the shows whole reputation. Of course we have to wait about 50+ years the books to come out lol.
I have another question, can the dragon trainers ride dragons ?? I mean they help train them so it only makes sense that they can ride them too right??
Helaena Targaryen has had visions of the future on her own, while Daemon's visions are only inspired by the weirwood trees. He is therefore a bad example of the otherwise correct point.
Visery’s believes that they don’t control the dragons, I feel because he failed at doing so himself. He claimed Balerion but only because he was dying. Visery’s never attempted getting another dragon. Damon, Rhaenys, and Rhaenyra don’t seem to have issues controlling their dragons.
You can't premise a video on questions that have been answered and just ignore that King Joffrey spoke about Sunfyre's upcoming part in the story. So Sunfyre can't possibly be dead now.
The show has a theme with bloodlines, actually not just the show but the books subtly hint at it too. The evidence is fractured, so it's not at all clear how it works. One thing that is consistent is that mellisandre likes burning people with 'royal' blood or silence her opposition but that's besides the point. We are lead to believe she means people of the royal houses, mainly baratheon. But there is virtually no difference biologically speaking between a peasant and a king. The only major differences is power (in terms of influence & military), wealth and status. And you don't have to be a feudal ruler to own all 3. So that's unlikely to be the main factor. However if we go back to the doom of valyria it's hinted that the 14 flames (the volcanos of ancient valyria) were controlled by blood mages using blood magic, either through blood sacrifices or other means. I believe the valyrians discovered an ancient secret that involves blood magic that gave their bloodlines the ability to control and ride dragons and those 14 flames played a huge part in that ability, which lead to the doom of valyria. I think what melissandre means with there's power in 'royal blood' for example shireen, she means blood that has valyrian blood. Houses that have valyrian blood, the more valyrian blood you have the more powerful the blood magic when it gets sacrificed. Which may also explain why some valyrian bastards are able to ride dragons and some aren't because it depends on how many generations you are removed from the main valyrian houses (in this case the targaryens and valeryons). Which can be a good explaination why the targaryens marry among their kin to literally keep the bloodline "pure and powerful".
house barathaian came over with aegon and was valyrian but were not a dragon rider house. The targaryans were a lesser house in valeria. They had small dragons in comparison to the greater houses then

@glasper5765 True I didn't think of that till you said it
The ending of Games of Thrones was so stupid.
Prince that was promised. But wasn’t promised to viewers of GOT S8 😂

Here are a few clarifications / corrections which may help:
1) Not all the houses in the North worship the Old Gods - House Manderly of White Harbor worship the Seven, as they were originally from Dunstonbury in the Reach.
3). In addition to House Targaryen and House Velaryon surviving the Doom, there were a few other Valyrians of note who did as well:
- Some dragonriders and their dragons who were in Lys and Tyrosh survived the Doom but were killed by the locals soon afterwards.
True that, in the book it's just Sunfyre and Meleys... Vhagar isn't involved at all.
From the ashes, only Aemond and Vhagar rose unharmed."

(Verdict: Vhagar did 99% of the damage on sunfrye)

I found a good theory the only reason Danny was “fireproof” was because the witch tricked her. The spell backtracked and helped the hatching of the eggs and also strengthened the blood magic of the targs in Danny so it made her fireproof. And her skin didn’t burn in the books but her hair did
If you go on a mythology basis Dragon fire has been considered the hottest form (other than undead dragon fire which was blue)
I thought the 2 was showing that some targereons were heat resistant/fireproof but not from dragon fire itself.
Targereons were massive with inbreeding to keep the bloodline pure. This insinuates a dragon blood bond etc which can also be an explanation to how different members can be more fireproof than others. Would indicate something different in their blood that can be more present in some than others
Also Darmon does not have Dragons Dreams like many Targaryrens. His "visions" are from a combo Weirwood paste. See Bran. And Alys's magic.

They said it in Game of a Thrones. BLOOD of the Dragon makes you immune to Fire, doesn’t matter if you’re a Targaryen
I would really like to hear the back story of night king. What was his life before the transformation?
house barathaian came over with aegon and was valyrian but were not a dragon rider house. The targaryans were a lesser house in valeria. They had small dragons in comparison to the greater houses then
Sunfyre's death was confirmed by King Aegon himself.
Can a riderless dragon be claimed by another? That was never a question, that was pretty obvious from got
