I loved the idea of using the 100Shekel coin, it is a shame it did not work this time, but better luck next time, nice build and plucking up the courage to make my own movement and case build. Thank you for the video. D
Thank you Mr. Waldo for the kind comment. I encourage you to make your own build, it's very very rewarding, even if less than perfect. You will be proud every time you look at your wrist.
It is nice, 36mm diameter, 10.4mm thick but with no sapphire crystal. It was a pre-owned watch I've found on eBay, I don't know where to source another.
haluu..i have old movement eta2836 from vintage watch(rado diastar) and it wash ultrasonic cleansing until lubricate again, since 1971 no part was change but i hate day in deutsche language no english here. i hope that fork still relative stronge with 0,2 in 28000, yeah you know it's not omega movement. did you have recomended to me what china case is fit with my old movement? maybe i like 38mm but not casio, rolex model is comunal and 40 or 41mm that not match with my tiny hand(yeah rolex daydate is 38 but you know too much people have that event is clone with quartz)
I don’t have experience with the 2836 day date, nor with the seagull clone ST2146. The clone can be found at 66$. If you have dial and hands attached to your movement, measure accurately the dial, and you will find cases that compatible with the 2836 and your dial. Sizes of 40, 41mm will be plenty around, finding a 38mm case is challenging though. If you don’t have dial and hands, then this is a much more risky project, as there is almost no aftermarket for the 2836 parts, as there is for the 2824 parts.
This is not a China clone from Seagull or Shanghai. This is a real Swiss eta 2824. I have several of the Chinese clones, and this behaves and feels different.
@@TrueFork In previous projects I removed the date wheel, and it didn't change the height. The hour wheel neck is the problem, and it is just too short for what I've prepared. There are set of hands with longer necks, I might order and try that in the future.

Should there be dial spacer? Date disc may contact with dial underside?
There is a dial spacer, right before I put the dial at 6:09 of the clip.

Is this eta Seagull 2824 or Shanghai clone 2824 ? Appreciate you please share.

Ok, thanks for your reply, really appreciate it.
What happened at 13:28 the second hand surpassed 5 seconds
Probably my hand was across the screen and I edited it out.
What watch was it from the begining? 😊
I have no idea. I guy in France sold it with a no name dial, without saying what brand it was. Probably a custom watch by him.

@@AlonNahary can i have the link of the Red whatch dail .. i like It
Sure, search AliExpress with these exact words: "2824 red dial". You will see it right away.
@@AlonNahary did you try if it would fit the coin dial if the date mechanism was removed?
