- I decided I'm saving up to buy myself a Tudor Black Bay 58 for my 40th birthday in a few years. So I need to choose a colour, what better way to decide than building my own homage to get a feel for the design. Pretty sure Ive got a new favourite build.

Pull the stem in the time setting position using a 1.2mm screwdriver 👍🏼
Great movement I use it often !
Such a killer movement, plan on using it again soon
@ have you tried the VS3135?
Many thanks for the video. The extraction/return hints the stem was very helpful.
No worries, I learnt the hard way haha
These 2824 keyless works issues are so common but they do help teach us things...i just got done a 2824 build last week and ended up having a stem that wouldn't lock in...tore it all apart and rebuilt it and tbh im glad it happened....was a fun and definitely knowledge building experience to do the repair
100%.
I’ve been wanting to start servicing movements, so pulling down the keyless works was a great start.
Mate, brilliant video. I'm looking at building a PT5000 based tool watch. Your tips about how not to fuck up will be invaluable. Thanks so much! Also happy 40th! We are the same age! Subscribed!
I have read that with the 2824 movement (so with the pt5000 as well i suspect) you should not remove and install the winding stem in the wind position but slightly pulled out in the day/date change position. If you try in the wind position it will jam and you will have to take it to pieces to get it to work again.
Legend mate cheers! It really is an amazing moment for the price. Reach out on here or insta if you’ve got any questions etc. would love to see photos of your finished watch.
Love your channel with so many stellar watches! For me the AMZWATCH’ watch is my favorite. Keep the videos coming. Thanks.
damn nice tudor
Working my way up to the real deal lol.
Hiccups happen, and you often learn from them. In this case, an amazing watch came out of it. I’ve wanted to build a watch with either a PT5000, the Seagull ST2130, or a serviced ETA movement, and with the information on what to look out for will definitely help.
Absolutely, mistakes are the best way to learn IMO! It’s an amazing watch and such a good movement. Definitely worth giving it a shot.
Finally, a new video. ❤❤
Ran into a few road blocks with this build haha. Appreciate you watching the vid, I’m trying to get the next one out a bit faster ✌🏻
Nice build. Even the rehaut is thin, something you often don’t see with submariner and black bay mods and homages. Kudos, sir 🫡
Thank you🙏🏼 It took me way too long to choose these parts haha
I had to do the same with my eta 2824 movement. Basically I reassembled all the keyless work because I pressed to hard on the stem removal hole
Haha yep, exactly what I had to do. Was honestly a good experience to get into the movement a little further and learn something else new.
Great clone! Do something with the royal oak case - Something that isn't a usual Seikoak, etc
Nice job 😊
Cheers mate
Man this makes my fingers itchy to try myself, but I feel my eyes and steadiness isn’t just there anymore at my age haha
I thought the same thing, but it’s actually surprisingly easy to get the hang of. I’ve got a cheap loupe and magnifier headset and makes it so much easier. Worth giving a crack if you’re interested in it.
@@modsandmovements sorry if I didn’t check all your videos, but would you have one about someone can start doing this, as in regards all equipment and where to buy, maybe even where also to get custom logo made etc?
@Pixelsurgery I haven’t done a video on it just yet but I plan to do one soon. All my video descriptions have links to the tools and parts for every build though.
I built 3 using st2130, two of them also need to disassemble the keyless work😅. Now I'm saving for new build using st1812(eta 2892 clone)
Nice, that’s a beautiful movement! Are there many aftermarket cases available for it?
Just started thinking about doing a build like this, did the case from ali come with the caseback gasket, crown gasket, and case tube gasket?
Still one of my favorite builds and with an amazing movement if you go the Pt5000 too. It came with everything you listed too
A lot of questions, but if you still have the watch, do you know the case tube and crown sizes? Also if the case tube is screw down (maybe by looking at the tube if there are grooves inside)?
Hi, the crown is definitely screw down. I don’t have the watch with me at the moment but if you message the seller on Ali express they’ll be able to measure whatever you want
Hello, help with the customs logos link or contact, the link you posted was not active any more, great videos keep teaching us 👍🏻
This one should work, it’s the same company. Not sure why they change their listings all the time

Love the vid!....Thank God he put the finger condoms on!
How was the process of getting custom logos? Do you just send in a design and they make it?
Yep exactly. I did up a design on Canva and sent them a png image. Just keep space between your lines I’ve had to redesign a few times as they were a bit close together and didn’t look like clean lines
20:00 Where did you get the white plastic ring to lock the movement into position? I'm searching for exactly these rings but can't find them online.
That one came with the case, the line for it is in the video description. You could ask if the seller can sell separately maybe.
