I am left speechless by the fact that you figured all of this out… I could simply never do it. I received my first Scalextric set in 1968 and have had a track going periodically ever since. Still love it, and and love your channel.
Stumbled across your site as a friend of mine has just finished a fantastic track and I said I’m sure I got something to count laps and give times that I picked up of eBay years ago and never got round to using. This turned out to be Scalextric RMS (race management system) I think this predates Sports World, but not checked. Anyway I set him up with a surplus computer and monitor and got it up and running for him today. It works great and he was over the moon at being able to see his lap times etc. Functionality is spot on, but the interface seemed dated which got me Looking into software updates and any other info about it. Didn’t find much on the FMS system but came across your video on Sports World that seemed to have a more modern interface. At the start of your part 1 video I was all for getting one . By the end of part 2, I probably will now that you have done all the hard work. Absolutely brilliant I thought I had plenty patience and stubbornness for trying to get things to work but you took this to another level. Enjoying your channel Cheers
This video has been the most fascinating to me on TH-cam! It has saved me weeks of frustration and buying up old computers. 😂 Wasn't there a way to program the unit without a computer to simulate rainy conditions and pit stops?
Will give this a go. It's a shame the support for this is long gone as it had potential to be a good piece of kit .

Thanks for watching, yes RMS is before sportworld, the problem with sportsworld is they are like hens teeth trying to find a working unit these days

You can only run the weather simulation when it's hooked up to a pc I believe, I really need to complete the videos of the system 😅
@@slot-car-dad I think you and I are the only ones that still have the Scalextric Sport World. So I thank you for opening yours. 😂
Great blast from the past, ahead of it's time.!
