Interestingly this was the first appearance of the playoffs for CBS' top announcing team of Summerall/Brookshier. They didn't do the NFC Wild Card game or either of the Divisional round games.
How ironic is this, Rams advance to Super Bowl with back up quarter back by winning against the Bucs. Then twenty years later, Rams advance to Super Bowl with back up quarter back by winning against the Bucs.
@@KISSFAN1970 but they didn't, that means they would have lost to the steelers, u really think the bucs would have beat a team like steelers, were u even alive back then? Lol
It wasn't the same old Rams. Faragamo would throw the ball downfield, even though the Ram defense was Aged and on the decline, it gave them a dimension they had lacked all the way through the middle 70's. Had the Rams had a quarterback on par with Staubach or Tarkington, through the middle 70's their remaining rosters would have carried them to multiple Super Bowl appearances. I watched all of those games.
@@autiebell1357 but the rams also beat the cowboys a few years before as well in 76! For some reason the cowboys had a hard time with rams at home in Dallas in the playoffs in the 70s
@@robertosso5210 The Rams had a Really good Roster in 76, but they had tried bringing Namath in to start the year and ended up with Haden, they turned the ball over 7 times in the NFC Championship against Minnesota. Same thing in 75 when the Cowboys blew them out in L.A. in the NFC Champ. James Harris turned the ball over 6-7 times. Same thing in 74 NFC Champ against Minnesota. 77 and 78 the Cowboys were Juggernauts, but the Rams of the middle 70's had a Great Defense, Very Good Offensive Line, Running backs and receivers. Quarterback play was Garbage. Playoff time Staubach was a difference maker.
@@robertosso5210 Ram Defense was Really Good Every Year, 76 was Merlin Olson's last season. Doomsday and The Purple People Eaters got all the press because of their S.B. appearances but overall I think the Ram defenses were better.

better result the second time
Backup my (censored)! Ferragamo was vastly superior to Haden.
Both of these team lost to the Detroit Lions in the playoffs before SF eliminated Detroit. Ughhhhh
14:03 Looks to be good but maybe a blurry goalpost here?
The Rams were finally ready.
14:48 best offense play for TB…huge gain but why McKay did not even go for a FG is beyond me….
do you have week 2 1995 rams vs saints
Worst playoff game ever.1:55
Didn't it rain hard in this game
Last week of the season the Buccaneers beat the chiefs 3-0 in a steady driving rainstorm and became NFC Central division champions.
I thought that too…
Worst playoff game ever.
Tampa Bay should have won and gone on to beat the Steelers. Not one touchdown is ridiculous.
The steelers would have won easy,

How in the world did the cowboys let the Rams beat them a week eaelier
