Yes In my experience if she turns you down the only way to "change her mind" is with disappearing for a long while where you do not see them and you improve your looks, lifestyle or something else to such an obvious degree she "sees you anew" and basically her brain processes you for a potential love partner like you are meeting for the first time. AND she has to think "oh I blew it, he is great and I turned him down for some dumb shallow reason" or she was crushing on some other guy that is now history. Texting or hanging around her does not work and nothing you say or your game is really going to change that. She already has that initial impression of no attraction and you are not going to talk her out of that, no matter how funny or whatever. And even if you wear her down and dont care about your self esteem if she rejects date requests like 30 times to get her out once (and even this takes like you being like Chris Rock funny with good game) it fizzles out like after a few dates because she thinks she is better than you and is "giving you a chance". Women want to date up so she will never be as attracted to you as a new girl is that thinks you are a catch. This scenario only works in movies, not real life.

If she's giving you whole monologues about him, then you should set your boundaries. If that's the case, just tell her you'd rather focus on the both of you when you're together. It's generally not a great sign if she's throwing him in your face. But if she's giving you tidbits, definitely take note for your own mental notes. You're still in the game as long as she's following through on seeing you. But if you REALLY want to date her, you have to be patient and pretty much bend to her terms. If I were you, I'd be out. But in no case do we want to be controlling. You can't tell her what to do with someone she's choosing to give herself to. You either have to accept it and hope she chooses you in the end. If she's giving you whole monologues about him, then you should set your boundaries. If that's the case, just tell her you'd rather focus on the both of you when you're together.
It's generally not a great sign if she's throwing him in your face.
But if she's giving you tidbits, definitely take note for your own mental notes. You're still in the game as long as she's following through on seeing you. But if you REALLY want to date her, you have to be patient and pretty much bend to her terms. If I were you, I'd be out. But in no case do we want to be controlling. You can't tell her what to do with someone she's choosing to give herself to. You either have to accept it and hope she chooses you in the end. Or drop her kindly and find someone who wants you and only you.
