Thank you! I was being sent this huge long code and all I needed were the 10 letters with - (dashes) in between the letters in the long link I was sent. I was finally able to get into the video meeting after missing so many.

One thing I'm not understanding is why my camera automatically turns on whenever I join a meeting in GoToMeeting, but it does not turn on when I join anyone's Google Meet. When I move my mouse to the bottom of the screen and hover over the camera icon the words Turn Off Camera pop up, which would indicate that the camera is on, despite that I can't seem myself on my laptop or from the other laptop where the invite was sent from (where I'm running this test from). On the other laptop the camera is working fine. Nothing is wrong with this laptop's camera though. I was just in a few meetings today (in GoToMeeting). I've tried clicking on that camera icon (which then changes the words to say Turn on camera while mouse is hovering over it) and subsequently turning it back on. I also noticed an area that is up near the URL where I found and changed permissions when I a saw an option that said "Allow Audio and Video." I selected that to no avail, but probably shoud've known that wasn't the issue because the audio from the Google Meet is working fine. Others just can't see me from this one particular laptop. I only have 2 laptops, but we're going to need to use both because my wife will be teaching a class from while my son is taking a class in the other. Fortunately, this particular issue is only something we'll have to deal with on Saturdays since I need to use this for my job for the rest of the week. If you have any ideas as to what the issue might be, please let me know.

But you must have a Google account to sign in correct? If you're not signed in it will ask you to sign in right? So if I text someone that meeting link andre they don't have gmail account it will ask them to create one right? Or will it allow them in the meeting?

NO YOU CAN'T just click on the link and you're connected. Once you've clicked on the link the host must grant permission BEFORE you can actually join the meeting. This is a major problem for us. We just want to set up a meeting that will allow people that have been provided the link to simply "pop" into the meeting without the necessity of the requirement of someone granting permission for you to join.
