    In this video I’m just going over some of my thoughts about the Lasernut and hopefully I can learn from others who have issues with the Lasernut and perhaps some solutions. So far both Lasernuts are running fine. I really don’t have much run time on either but so far so good.

    I love the look of the Lasernut but it’s been the worst RC I’ve ever purchased I spend $500 for a shelf Queen. I don’t even have that much time on it I’d fix it & it last about 2 runs then break again. The last time I had it out I had to replace the entire center dif went out & the rear dif went out. It’s the biggest money pit I’ve ever had I have not purchased another Losi because the Lasernut at $500 was absolutely terrible & is currently sitting covered in dust. It’s a pile of💩

      Thanks for the warning. I have only heard bad reviews about the U4. I only paid $350 for mine but I do agree that repairs and upgrades are expensive. You really don't see that many recent revies on them lately. I guess everyone kind of gave up on them. I'll just run mine on 3s until a diff goes out and deal with it. Thanks again for watching and the warning about the diffs.

      @@RCRoads I just wonder if I just got a bad one because no RC could should ever be this bad & I think about the poor people that buy it & have no RC skills or tools. I should’ve just contacted Losi & explained to them what was going on. But unfortunately for Losi I will not buy & haven’t purchased any other Losi RC’s of any kind & at this point spending that amount of $ on such a bad RC I’m just not going to buy another Losi.

      @@Casitascrawlers That's totally understandable. We judge our cars by actual experiences. I hope mine don't have continuous diff issues. I'm mostly an Arrma fan and think the U4 will be a drain on the wallet but I just plan on trail runs and if one breaks I have a backup. Thanks so much for tuning in and your honest opinion about the Lasernut. The more controversy the better. Hopefully other discouraged owners will post something.

      My LMT King Sling is the same but I actually like having it. I've spent double the purchase price on repairs and upgrades and it's still a terrible RC. I don't enjoy driving it but I like having it.

      @@boduke9428 Thanks so much for the honest insight. It's a learning curve for me. I don't really have the best cars to compare the U4 to. My 3 bashers are the MT10, Granite and Typhon. They are my most durable RC's. They break suspension arms and chew up drive shafts but are easy to work on. I also have a DR10 and it breaks every time I run it. Mostly due to crashes. I have no idea how well the U4's will hold up and rebuilding diffs sounds like a drag. I'm hoping for some decent longevity from this RC but also look forward to upgrading some stuff eventually. Parts are expensive.

    Indeed, the LaserNut is a really great vehicle. I have one myself, and its off-road capability is impressive for its size.

      Thanks for watching. I'm very motivated by the videos I saw on your channel. I absolutely love mine. As for size it's perfect for me. It would be nice to go bigger but often times I break stuff and the 1/10 scale is easy to carry back to my car. I would imagine the new Losi 8IGHT-X Super Lasernut must be an insane pleasure to drive.

      Thanks for checking it out. I'm slowly breaking in the Lasernuts. As for tires and rims ... I kind of wish I had waited and went with some Vitivon beadlocks. They are 2.2" outer and 3" inner. They are a bit much at $145 for a set of 5 but they are super nice.

      @@rcplaytime That's great. If I had known before hand I would of possibly bought some rims from Vitavon. They sell the perfect Bead Lock rims with 2.2" outside and 3" inside. They are made for the Lasernut or Baja Rey. The price is kind of outrageous but they are nice. As for the 1/6 8IGHT-X Super Lasernut is massive and the detail of the interior is sweet looking.

    I’ve been eyeballing a laser nut for a couple years and finally found a sale on one! $360
    I’m not fond of the wheels/tires either but they are light weight and don’t appear to balloon much..
    I’ve looked and other wheel/tire combos similar to your set up but with the added weight and tire compound I’m not sure they’ll be that much better…ballooning could be an issue for handling purposes…
    Great video tho….love the slow-mo action

      Awesome deal on your Lasernut. That's what I paid for mine as well. The 3s Arrma granite is basically the same price. Totally different driving experience. I really like mine. Anyways the tires. The stock tires are doing fine and so are the Prolines. I put thread locker on the axels and check my wheel nuts periodically. If you had the money you could really set the U4 up to be a great RC. Vitavon has some extreme upgrades for the Lasernut. They even have aluminum Bead Lock stadium rims. Only $170 for the set and you still need tires. You could really empty you wallet quickly at that store. I'm not going to upgrade anything until it breaks and should drive more responsibly but the car is taking the abuse so far.

      @@RCRoads I do have some 2.2/3.0 short course rims and a set of 2.2 aluminum rims….might try a couple different combos with both styles to see what works best….or just run the stock ones till they have a problem….lol

      @RCRoads  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@markcole6475 Yes indeed. The stock tires are fine. It also does good with smaller tires like some Trenchers or Badlands but then it's slower and cant bash over stuff that well. I'm in agreement. The stock tires work just fine. Run them until they blow. I ended up sanding the rims and painting them black. I'm not sure why the gold bothered me so much. lol

      Thanks for checking it out and commenting. It is a bit slow but it gets over the rough stuff. I should give it a speed test on 4s but I will need a battery for that. I think the bottom line with any RC is this. Are they fun to drive? I really enjoy mine and if it breaks I'll repair it. A trip to Disneyland cost more than the U4 and it's over in a day. These cars should give me more than one day of joy.
