Well the video is split into 2 parts which is the theory part and talking about the industry advancement and the tutorial which specifies about the injector mod and how to use it. I do a some theory stuff on the channel and didnt mean for it to come across that way for anybody who hasnt seen me before because i feel like its rare for new people to see me since im very unpopular haha

This is the sort of thing I was hoping from PSVR2 on day one. It would help justify the price for the non-vr audience.

so the motion controls are built into the program, they just need input profile tweaking. sometimes building the profiles are difficult from scratch but they do have profiles for a BUNCH of games in the flat2vr discord and you just download it, and press the giant "import" button:

Playing PC VR games in Android on Standalone,. Boy talk about a challege! I wonder, if it is possible... I mean... when I make a game project in Unreal, I can and do, build for PC or Android from the same project the same assets,.. .... hmmm... if Standalone keeps getting more powerful. And with a base of understanding they gave after this... it MAY actually be possible. Certainly, there might be (eventually) a way to, not play directly like with this but to have a program that will PORT a game as a pre-process. Set it running to convert a PC game to an Android equivalent... Change a .PAK to an .APK ;) hmmm... a huge challenge yes... but I really don't feel like it is impossible ... I suspect this would be something for Unity gamescespecially... I know Unity already has the ability to autochange assets for a different target medium, (will make textures for the PC game, 1/4 the size when building for Android while packaging (you have to set it up to do so) I have always missed something similar for Unreal... You have to sort of do it all yourself in Unreal...

I just wanted a mod that would let us explore the worlds of these flat screen games. This could be the future of hybrid games and if they perfect the software, maybe many UE5 games coming out will have VR mode.

Do I need to start SteamVR first? Because there are literally no processes showing up in the dropdown list. Even after launching with elevated privileges (as administrator).
Okay, despite Goat Simulator having an A rating for UEVR, it doesn't seem to work for me. Ark Survival: Ascended shows up.
yea you need to have that installed first but its a free program on steam that should already be in your library
@@VRCentral That wasn't actually the question, and the answer was actually "no, Steam VR will be started by the process if it's not already running."
I instantly downloaded mod and it works really good, playing with mouse and keyboard is not bad but still if there is possibility to make controllers work it would be good. Menu of mod while playing should be binded to some key on keyboard bc if you close it it wont comeback ( at least i dont know how ). But mod works fine, if you will drop video settings in game a little it should work just fine. I played fnaf SB and i had to turn off ray tracing and it helped.
You can tweak it to work with controllers. I've seen people set up game profiles for both 3DoF and 6DoF. Just a matter of tinkering with the advanced settings & hooking into the right stuff. Oh, and by default the menu is set to open/close on keyboard with the Insert key. You can change that to whatever you want in the keybindings menu (as well as recenter & set height). Have fun!

you can make it work with motion controls you just need to tweak it to your liking in the input section. thats why i said that there are a lot of options in there

Great info on some tips i did not know👍 so when you say just open a google tab on your desktop monitor to save resources because yes we dont need the video rendering on your pc monitor aswell, do you mean just open goggle chrome browser full screen over the game?
yes exactly. i do the same when im not recording or if i am i just put my recording software on the monitor that shows the game and enlarge it. doesnt have to be full screen just full window. It has made almost any game that could lag on epic or high settings be buttery smooth
@@VRCentral Thanks, i did not realise just by opening google chrome over the game being rendered on your pc screen that this would then turn google chrome window into the primary source for your pc resources, but the vr game is still running in the background on the pc screen i thought having more things open on desktop would use more resources?
@paulm1606 well thats why i said if you have something else already running. But something like file explorer will take up a lot less than an entire game render lol

when I downloaded the UEVR code and extracted it I couldnt find the .exe or application file in there. does anyone know what to do or if I am downloading the right one?

@@cheesecake4648 I found that going to the "releases" section and clicking the UEVR download that was posted 4 days ago has an application file but when I go into a game (lethal company) it doesn't work and says the UEVR.dll doesnt exist and won't let me go in.
it should be called "UEVRInjector.exe". if you dont see it, its possible your security system auto-deleted it
Bit misleading to say "ANY" game in VR, but you specify that in the vid, lol, and it's certainly a $%#@ton of games, hahaha! Runs on most games made with Unreal Engine 4.08 and above, just to clarify, and not games with anticheat. I'm having an absolute blast with it!

The "play any game in VR" is talking about the theory parts of the video where I talked about playing unity games in VR and steam vr games on quest in the future and the "UEVR Injector" part is about when i was discussing about the recently released mod. I'm glad youre having fun with it though!
I didn't mean any offense, by any means, just a wink/nod ;) It really is exciting to see the VR landscape change so drastically so quickly. It would be amazing if someone could follow suit w/ a universal Unity injector, too, as then we'd have most modern games pretty well covered aside from the relatively few that use in-house engines (I'm looking at you, Bethesda). Thanks for the vid! Rock on! (PS: I am a Unity dev, but such things are a bit outside my wheelhouse haha)

Sadly, no. Lethal Company was made with Unity & this only supports Unreal Engine games.

@@Beepo09 I know someone was working on a Lethal Company VR mod but I'm not sure if/when/where it's available & from the little I've heard it was pretty janky, too. Hopefully we'll get a good mod for it in time.
Not ANY Game. Games made in unreal 4 and 5, but only after like 2016/17. not all versions of UE 4 are compatible. Please correct the misinformation. Also, not all games will work well, and there are two modes. Full immersion where youre in the world and can look around, and then a 3D Windowed game mode where there is just a large floating screen in front of you that has really good 3d depth. Not all games will work in the Fully Immersive mode. For example, i couldnt get FF7 remake intergrade to run well without a bunch of visual glitches and problems but it worked wonderfully in the 3d window. I only have an 8gb 3060ti, and ff7 intergrade was running so smooth at high fps high resolution. while i would have loved the fully immersive mode to work, the 3d movie vibe mode version is still amazing.

@@VRCentral fair enough but the viewers don't know that and it will garner unrealistic expectations from unlearned viewers. And as we both know people tend to snap over misconceptions on the web, even if it's their own fault, and I don't want to see you or the mod and it's devs getting some hate over something silly like that, that's all.

Have you heard any way that this could work with anti-cheat so we could play online multiplayer? I saw this worked for Squad 44 but only in a private match with bots due to the game would kick you if you go online. Thanks!
unfortunately not at the moment but with the amount of amazing work they've done for free i wouldnt be surprised if this is a stepping stone to show devs how amazing VR can be and people might start making their own native VR ports or at the very least whitelist preydog!

This doesn't work, tried multiple Unreal games, they never show in the dropdown box. Hitting inject does nothing.

Love your video, I’m trying to film my quest 3 with obs, playing hogwarts legacy. I use the capture vr view option but my footage is getting lines when I move. I know about video stabilisation maybe I’m missing something? Thanks 🤩

whenever i try to download it, it says theres a virus in it and it wont let me dowload it. it shows me that theres a severe trojan in the file. how has no one else caught this, is it even right, and how to i get around it.

How do I play with air link, but start from Oculus Home, instead of the injector transferring to Steam VR? Because steamVR works really bad for me.
it automatically converts it to run on steam VR (just the game launcher) but the injector will run in open XR

4080 is one of the best graphics cards in the market. Absolutely no need to worry my friend :)
yea it certainly will be. just make sure you also have an i7 or higher and at least 16 GB ram. not that you need ALL of that for the mod, but just that you wont fully utilize the 4080 without those

If I already play a game through my quest 2 (Pcvr in Virtual Desktop) and decided to play it now in 3D, how it will affect my system in processing? Guessing about 30% ? Then I will need to drop my resolution to fit it right?
When i download it from Github i only get a bunch of files with no injection??
I'd be willing to bet Windows Defender nuked the file. It's a bit bratty about it since it's homebrew software.

Only selected ones and even those are best played in 2D.
You do realize you could end up saying "hey i think your video would get the point across more if you made the title like this" rather than raging...? The reason why it says any is because rn we can play hundreds of games in VR with just the first version but there is a LOT more on the way with the potential to play more in VR as i said in the video if you watched. Even right now the group that made this mod made their own studio, acquired IPs, and are releasing the official versions of those games into PCVR, PSVR2, and Quest; even those that dont use Unreal Engine.
in the UEVR software i dont see any process ... the dropdown window is blank

why not just make it an exception in the firewall?
Ive tried to play hello neighbor (why not) with uevr it worked first time but wverything was blurry and now uevr wont boot up vr when i press inject with all games it doesnt inject

sounds amazing.. but it also sounds complicated. it is even difficult to check what VG i have in UE. Luckily i don't have many that i can think of.
its acutally SUPER easy for being able to play flatscreen games in VR just for being on unreal engine
this one mod is probably more for oculus quest 3 not for reverb g2, trayed over 10 games only black screen... still considerering this one as Beat v.
i think it may have issues with windows mixed reality. I know for the index, big screen, and quest 2/3 it works ok. I would try it myself but i dont have a windows mixed reality headset im sorry
doesnt work. No motion controls, horizon is messed up and the ground is slanted. so happy i just spent 50 bucks on ready or not
You can implement the motion controls with a bit of practice and know how...Pray dog has many videos explaining how to do so..With any luck he will release a profile with the right settings to work out of the box
It works fine, you just need to adjust some settings is all.
it does have motion controls if you set them up in the launcher. I was only showing the barebones about getting the mod, launching, and getting it working with your game

game I would like it to work with (and yes its an Unreal Engine game) is Starship Toopers: Extermination. every other UE game I throw at it it works. but I can't get this one to show up in the Injector list.

@@manboardkey1393 when you go to the site in the discription, you click on the green "code" button and then when the pop up pulls down you hit download zip. once you do that you right click on that downloaded zip and hit extract and it should work. hope that helped

on the launch properties, try inputting "-nohmd" and see if that helps

so i found out now its because of the version. Borderlands 2 runs on unreal 3 which isnt compatible with Preydog but i think its getting fixed
