Can confirm that Dragonquest 11 works flawless on an old 1080ti with no drops using a Rift s. 1.400 on the res scale which is close to 2.5 k per eye. This is good news for older cards. We can still play older titles really well on it at a good res mate! 🤙

We are now at the stage where a ps5 running ride 5 looks almost real. A ps6 will bring nothing much to the table we will soon be at the stage where gaming cannot go further. From hundreds of games that exist on Q2 there are about 7 long games and the graphics are average. You just changed that you just raised the bar to the edge of space you have honestly created something magical that everything will now lead on from. VR is the future because its the only logical next step and i really thought we were years away from major companies finally giving us full length games and in one hit you just opened up access to thousands and thousands of games. Now when i get it running and show people what it can really do it will no longer be it looks ok. It will be people getting VR headsets to run your program i hope the team behind this i assume its a team get very very rich. You hit this out the ballpark a massive well done
Thank you for this guide Alex, I spent many hours last night trying to get it to work but to no avail, so gave up. However after watching your guide, I'm going to try it again and hopefully I can get it to work, My PC Should have no problem running it and at high settings, because it has an RTX 4090 and a 13900K with 32GB DDR4 ram. Should allow me to play Ride 5 in VR which to me is mega exciting as a motorbike guy 😁

Some cool new features in the pipeline after we get over the initial support shock wave. The API and SDK modders can use to hook into UEVR will be amazing to see used this year. Does most of the low level grunt work so people can focus on creative adjustments, mechanics and polish for specific games.

Gonna fun over the new few days/weeks/months getting to know this program. I've been hungry for some quality 3rd person VR content which are few and far between when it comes to made for VR apps.
When I try to download UEVR it is blocked by Windows Defender as being a Trojan and is deleted while being downloaded. Whitelisting doesn't seem to help. Any chance this is actually malicious?
It is very simple to run, I had to install NET 6.0 Desktop Runtime to made it work, probably you had that already. Some of tweaking necessary to made games playable, especially with aiming but finally it is here, now I have to buy more powerfull PC.
Is there a Hogwart's legacy profile I can download? Everything seems to be working fine but I have some flickering in the edges of my left eye. I am using a Quest 2 with RTX 3070 32GB and Virtual Desktop. I've changed the rendering mode to Synched Sequential. I can also still see out of the left but the edges are flickering white.
Damnit, now I'm going to have to move my headset back to the main rig to have use of the 3080ti. I've left it in the living room on another weaker system since there's far more space in there and the 1080ti was more than powerful enough for any games. If this works half as well as I'm hoping I just might have to rebuild the VR dedicated system.
@@sonicsnake44 Yeah my son has a 1070. I tried Sackboy on the 1080ti and it normally runs it great at 4k flatscreen without breaking a sweat. There must be a healthy amount of overhead with this mod because that game brought the 1080ti to it's knees and I had to enable all low settings and FSR performance to make it playable in VR. But damn was the game way cooler in VR! I'll probably just bring the headset to my main rig's 3080ti for UEVR games cause GPUs are still stupidly overpriced and the kids only care about Roblox and Fortnite, and these games don't require me to get up and walk around like other VR games.
@@zodwraith5745 VR is always going to increase hardware requirements because your rendering 2 images instead of one. Despite that I was able to run Tekken 7, Soul Caliber 6, Tony Hawk 1+2, with no performance issues.

Any tips for rebinding Pico controller inputs? I've changed settings on Virtual Desktop but there doesn't seem to be a binding option for SteamVR for them, a lot of games aren't fully unplayable with 6DoF because of this.

Because to another video (Dark Forces Remaster) the video from "Ruppertle", "Jedi Knight - Dark Forces 2 - Unreal Engine" was recommended. On request in version 4.26, would unfortunately not work?

I need some troubleshooting help. I'm trying out the IllWill Demo. I previously added the community profile of IllWill on the UEVR injector. The game works on my Quest 2, and I set "Right Controller" under "Input" in the overlay, but I cannot freely move my weapons as if they were native VR weapons. My weapon's butt seems to be stuck to my character, and I can only move the tip of it to aim. I cannot for example turn the weapon sideways like you did at 3:02. How to free up the weapon handling?

In UEVR Camera menu when I try to change camrea position values in some games I can click into the value line by holding Ctrl on keyboard and I can write any numerical values, but in other games I can not do that, however I press Ctrl but I am unable to click into the line to add any proper numerical value, and I am only able to move the sliders left and right. Can you tell me why is that? Thank you!
Praydog has the REframework and UE one for now. Let him rest up after this year. I’m sure someone as brilliant won’t stay idle for long though. Lots of support maintaining these huge project though that will take some of his time and energy in the near term though.
Chivalry 2 has EAC and won’t work until they add private servers or an offline mode. Mordhau on Steam has VAC but the epic game store version I played online fine :)

Alex, in Pinball FX, anytime I leave a table to go back to menus, the game hangs. Using Vurtual desktop, if I go to desktop view and back to vr view, the hang subsides. Any idea what may cause the hang and why changing views back and forth in VD would resolve it?
Hmm only have experience with Pinball M and in that I was using a link cable. I’ve noticed these games don’t like uobjecthook and crash. Likely due to the free to play nature and you can do a lot to turn on paid content on console commands. Potentially could be detecting something and the games internal anti tamper is kicking in? My guess though. Would chuck it into the ue-supported-game card with a log and config txt file from your profile in case praydog has time to see it and diagnose. May be a more universal problem, and if it is he could do something. Have a feeling it is some kind of anti tamper though. We have experienced lots of weird bugs in some games so anything goes. A while ago you needed a controller plugged in and then unplugged to stop Returnal from running at 2fps😂

Even with a 7950X and 4090 even I have to make compromises in some games. AAA flat screen games in native VR go well further than anything seen by tiny indie VR developers to date. CPU is important, praydog upgraded his CPU to the 3D v cache version and saw big gains. The 4090 can easily be fully maxed out but the majority of games out right now I can run at max settings at high resolutions with DLSS uoscaling or similar. Flat games need GPUs really become overkill. This is now a selling point for future hardware gains :)
Gotta say, I was excited to try it, but when I tried to download it Bitdefender went apeshit and wouldn't let me download it. When I forced it to and extracted the files, it said it found a trojan horse in them, and now I'm doing a full system search. 😕
Yeah had it trigger on some builds throughout the year. Will likely need to wait some time for windows to learn about it. The latest build 1.01 should have less issues but yes windows defender can really kick into gear and needs allowing and restoring back.

When I imported the profile for Robocop Rogue City it opened the folder just like you showed here for Returnal. But when I go in game the aiming and camera is messed up. When I look left or right I can see Robocop's arms. But when I move my arm IRL it doesn't translate the movement in game. His arms just stay there stationary. Do I have to import the profile first and then load the game? I think I may have done it the wrong way around. I opened the game first and then imported the profile.
Seems easy enough, unfortunately it instantly just crashes every game I try (Reverb G2\Win 11). I wonder if it's somehow my setup, or there's a problem with WMR\G2
It's certainly still there (it crashes the games when I press inject). Are you saying you have Win 11 and a WMR headset\G2, and it works? @@gerardsitja
is there something i'm doing wrong? Once I start the game and select openXR, select the game from the dropdown and click inject, it crashes with an error: Something went wrong with the game. And in the menu that pops up it states that OpenXR is not found, not initialized. :(
One downside of this that I'm missing is the ability to set rendering resolution before injecting. When it automatically goes to 3840x3840 per eyes resolution it more often than not it just lags too much to even set it, if not outright crashes. Also are there any EU4 games with bustling towns and the like? I already beat DQXI on PS4 way back and don't really have any interest in FFVII remake.
@@waifu_enjoyerthe “problem” is that joystick plugged on PC doesn’t work (act strange, laggy, crazy) ps: Xbox one joystick. If it run through steam open vr not problem at all. The only way should Be syncing with Quest bluetooth or I missing something?
for some reason, when i downloaded it the first time , it worked fine. i loaded up everything but then my game crashed when i tried to inject it. After that i had to delete uevr and redownload, but every time i download it, windows just keeps warning me of a virus and not allowing me to open the file. i dont understand why, since it worked fine the first time, and im downloading the same one as the first time
I've tried with Remnant 2 and Atomic Heart. I have the meta quest 2, connected to PC via air VR link and the application see the games but pressing inject results in nothing. The app Is started in admin mode and i've also created and exception in firewall but It Just won't do nothing. Can someone help me?

The only thing it wouldn't allow is things like VR interactions. Like reloading the gun with your hands, picking up objects with full vr rotation etc.

Check that hardware acceleration it's set off in windows graphic options.

Yeah for recent games your definitely going to need a rebuild. Keep in mind this is coming from a 1070 owner.

Literally every time i hit inject my game crashes. I have an rtx 3090. what could be the issue?
Turn off game over lays. Run the uver in administrator

GTA Trilogy Definite Editions are in UE4. Just saying. Also crazy slashers Like Chivalry 2 and Mordhau as well. What a timeline.

Alex, in Pinball FX, anytime I leave a table to go back to menus, the game hangs. Using Vurtual desktop, if I go to desktop view and back to vr view, the hang subsides. Any idea what may cause the hang and why changing views back and forth in VD would resolve it?
Hmm only have experience with Pinball M and in that I was using a link cable.
I’ve noticed these games don’t like uobjecthook and crash. Likely due to the free to play nature and you can do a lot to turn on paid content on console commands. Potentially could be detecting something and the games internal anti tamper is kicking in? My guess though. Would chuck it into the ue-supported-game card with a log and config txt file from your profile in case praydog has time to see it and diagnose. May be a more universal problem, and if it is he could do something. Have a feeling it is some kind of anti tamper though.
We have experienced lots of weird bugs in some games so anything goes. A while ago you needed a controller plugged in and then unplugged to stop Returnal from running at 2fps😂

Even with a 7950X and 4090 even I have to make compromises in some games. AAA flat screen games in native VR go well further than anything seen by tiny indie VR developers to date. CPU is important, praydog upgraded his CPU to the 3D v cache version and saw big gains.
The 4090 can easily be fully maxed out but the majority of games out right now I can run at max settings at high resolutions with DLSS uoscaling or similar.
Flat games need GPUs really become overkill. This is now a selling point for future hardware gains :)

Yeah had it trigger on some builds throughout the year. Will likely need to wait some time for windows to learn about it. The latest build 1.01 should have less issues but yes windows defender can really kick into gear and needs allowing and restoring back.

When I imported the profile for Robocop Rogue City it opened the folder just like you showed here for Returnal. But when I go in game the aiming and camera is messed up. When I look left or right I can see Robocop's arms. But when I move my arm IRL it doesn't translate the movement in game. His arms just stay there stationary. Do I have to import the profile first and then load the game? I think I may have done it the wrong way around. I opened the game first and then imported the profile.
Seems easy enough, unfortunately it instantly just crashes every game I try (Reverb G2\Win 11). I wonder if it's somehow my setup, or there's a problem with WMR\G2

Windows 11 is fine. I had some residual 3Dmigoto shader mods in the games directories I had tried. Everything's working as intended now @@NextWorldVR
im having so many issues with this! do I open my oculus link and then open steam link i dont see anything that shows steam inside the headset hompage.

I wish I could get Outriders to work with it. It's listed as "B: Works well" in the tested spreadsheet, but it crashes every time I use the injector.

Same issue here… inject worked with my first game Visage and now it won’t detect any other games to inject.
What are the Reset Buttons? Nothing like that on my PC...
is there something i'm doing wrong? Once I start the game and select openXR, select the game from the dropdown and click inject, it crashes with an error: Something went wrong with the game. And in the menu that pops up it states that OpenXR is not found, not initialized. :(

One downside of this that I'm missing is the ability to set rendering resolution before injecting. When it automatically goes to 3840x3840 per eyes resolution it more often than not it just lags too much to even set it, if not outright crashes.
Also are there any EU4 games with bustling towns and the like? I already beat DQXI on PS4 way back and don't really have any interest in FFVII remake.

Yeah I recommend that. Inject with openXR and use virtual desktop with VDXR. Much better performance without steamVR bloat.

for some reason, when i downloaded it the first time , it worked fine. i loaded up everything but then my game crashed when i tried to inject it. After that i had to delete uevr and redownload, but every time i download it, windows just keeps warning me of a virus and not allowing me to open the file. i dont understand why, since it worked fine the first time, and im downloading the same one as the first time

my controllers are not working in game, also can not use L3 + R3 to hide and unhide the UEVR menu, (ready or not) someone knows a fix??

I've tried with Remnant 2 and Atomic Heart. I have the meta quest 2, connected to PC via air VR link and the application see the games but pressing inject results in nothing. The app Is started in admin mode and i've also created and exception in firewall but It Just won't do nothing. Can someone help me?
