An English translation of the third part of the Blue Archive main story Volume 3, "The Treaty of Eden," Chapter 4, "Kyrie for Forgotten Gods," which released with the Saori banner on 8/9/2022.
Abandoned by even the school to which they once belonged, the members of Arius Squad wander lost amid the borderland between hatred and anger. Will there be any mercy for them?

Pisses me off that I didn't watch your version of it wanting to experience the story as myself in game. I'm never making that mistake again. That cg of Saori protecting her squad is such a gut punch, after finishing volume 1 i was a little skeptical, expecting the story to be ok and just fun, this is a great story

I can now imagine how the adult card works. Sensei probably grows a halo himself temporarily for a couple dozen of seconds; Emulating every student he needs in sequence to battle his enemies. After the boost ends he probably experiences extreme exhaustion at the point of or near collapse. So it's not a good idea to always use the card.
I want to assume that after that battle with Barbara, Sensei just collapsed and a gratefully smitten Mika picked him up and gave him a lap pillow. Like that'd be the most adorable thing ever kyaaaa! 💕

A bit late, but..
I imagine Sensei's adult card works somewhat similarly to memesis in combat (the ability used to bring forth the Justina Council of Saints), by summoning a replica of their students to fight (not sure if 'replica' is the right word, but it works enough for now).
In the EN version, "Credits are kept on Sensei's card and can be used like cash."
Credits are used to upgrade our students, alongside various equipment and materials. We use said students to clear the main campaign maps.
When we play through Vol. 3 Ch. 3 Ep. 24, against Maestro's unfinished Hieronymus, we choose in the exact same manner which students will fight, and in the same way, those same students then fight under our command during the boss fight ー not with story equipment and skill sets, but the equipment and skill sets we invested into them, presumably through the Shittim Chest* (since we can interact with Arona while doing our dailies, as if she was real, with respect to Kivotos).
The same thing also happens when we face Saint Barbara in Vol. 3 Ch. 4 Ep. 25.
However, I am not sure how this ties in with the event stories, since we get to choose our party in the same way when playing through them, even though the students Sensei accompanies during those events are clearly doing the fighting (maybe those don't count since Sensei does not pull out the adult card during these stories..but then what significance, if any, would it be for us to use our students, instead of those actually involved, in those battles?)
Both times Sensei used the adult card in Vol. 3, they did not express any sort of exhaustion.
Ch. 3 Ep. 24 → cuts straight to mentioned search for Arius Squad, to no avail
Ch. 4 Ep. 25 → cuts out after the fight against Saint Barbara, but Sensei does not express any exhaustion in Ch. 4 Ep. 26
This only means we cannot confirm nor deny whether Sensei gets exhausted after using the adult card.
That said, there's probably some fan art of Mika giving Sensei a lap pillow afterwards.
As for why the card shouldn't always be used, I can only guess it has to do with the price of using the students Sensei invests materials and Credits into, but there aren't really any grounds for it (maybe AP, but we don't know if that has any lore significance; not mentioning materials and Credits as the reason here because while we deploy our students during stages with AP, we only use our materials and Credits when upgrading them).
Using it outside of combat seems fine, though, since it seems to work just like your typical everyday credit card.
*Just to note if anyone is curious, there's a Reddit thread (r/BlueArchive, "The Biblical References of Blue Archive") that looks into possible biblical connections between Arona, the Shittim Chest, and Kivotos, though I am not sure if it'll help explain how Arona protected Sensei when Arius Squad attacked the Old Cathedral.
@@mikuru2013 Doesn't make sense that Sensei wouldn't use his adult card, unless he really needed it? Although during the Alice main storyline, Sensei believed in his students and didn't use anything, but the trust for his students and his intellect.
Using the adult card prohibits the student's growth and makes the students rely and instead of using their strengths to clear the objective.

Yes, that's what I assume when it comes to using the card for combat, or anything outside of what we'd use our credit cards for in daily life.
Sensei's goal is just to be there for his students (iirc, that's about what he said to Beatrice near the end of Vol. 3 Ch. 4), and his actions imply he also wants them to grow. That's all, and the students are the ones that need to continue on the path he helps them find (Seia says something along the lines of this in the Vol. 3 Ch.4 epilogue).
He hasn't used it outside of when dealing with Gematria's creations (unfinished Hiero, Saint Barbara + Justina Council under Beatrice's control), and he likely won't use it outside of similar situations (basically when students can't properly handle their situations, even with him there to support).
In Vol. 1, Sensei only _offered_ using the adult card (as a credit card) to negotiate with Black Suit, and the moment Hoshino was taken by Gematria and Kaiser, the rest of the Foreclosure Task Force knew they wanted her back. When Problem Solver 68 interrupted them at their lowest point (when Ayane was losing hope for the future of Abydos, and of her and her friends), followed by Sensei taking command, showing them that no matter how dire it seemed, there was a way forward, their resolve was strengthed, and they pushed through until they rescued Hoshino.
For Vol. 2, it was a conflict purely between the students, and they already knew what they wanted to do (Ch. 1 → save the Game Dev. Dept, protecting the place where Yuzu, Momoi, Midori, and Arisu belong / Ch. 2 → get Arisu back, show her that she gets to choose her own path, show Rio that pure logic isn't always the solution), so all Sensei needed to do was be there for them.
Vol. 3 ー excluding the two times where he used the adult card, all of it were situations his students could properly handle, with his support and a bit of guidance (helping the Remedial Class Club pull through their exams, showing Nagisa that she needed to put more trust in others, showing Seia the importance of focusing on the present / not fixating on the future, giving Mika and Arius Squad a second chance at life).
With Vol. 4 Ch. 1, as they already knew their objectives (keep SRT alive, and later on, check Valkyrie for illegal funding), and towards the end of their operation, when Miyako was about to spiral, Sensei was the one who first came through (telling her she doesn't need to be just like him to secure victory, she can do things her way + she needs to believe in herself and others), and with the others awaiting her orders, she took command, and they saved the operation.
Against Maestro's unfinished Hiero, he didn't have any students that could help (Azusa fell after her last battle with Saori, and Saori and Atsuko ran with the rest of Arius Squad). Against Beatrice's St. Barbara and Justina Council, Mika held the line as best she could, but Beatrice's creation was ultimately too strong for her to handle, and Mika was likely near unconsciousness (or death) by the time Sensei came back for her. These were the only times so far (excl. the newest volume) that Sensei actually used his card in combat.
Outside of that, there's just one student so far (Mika) that he's used his adult card as a credit card for. (I'd say it falls under the same category as normal credit card usage, given what happened ー it'd be considered a one-time thing normally)
Everything else, Sensei acted in order to help his students grow (whether it's trust, understanding, perseverance and hope, responsibility, etc. that they may need to work on).
Using the adult card too much to solve the students' problems would lead to students being over-reliant on Sensei, instead of growing as people, because this would teach them the easy solution, instead of a approach that solves their problems while also teaching them about others and the world around them.

I still want to know how exactly does Sensei's card works. Like, Black suit said it allows one to buy "anything" in exchange for their "life and time" but what exactly does that mean. Makes me wonder if it involves the actual gameplay. Like, maybe the Card is what allows Sensei to go through the 4th wall and "play the game"

After rewatching this, I'm start to think that Sensei's card probably have some other forms of "requirements" and I think one of it is, it shouldn't be used against a living person.
The first time they showed the card to Black Suit, it didn't really imply that they used it. Rather, they most likely only showed it to Black Suit to let black suit know that they have something to combat Gematria.
Then, they used it on the artificial angel Maestro created, which means it's strong enough to defeat something like that; but they didn't use it on Beatrice when she transformed. The next time he used the card again is on the council of saints. Going by these events, it seems like the card will only work on such beings but not on a living person.
Sensei's Adult Card really is something. Wonder we'll know more about it.
On another note. It seems that the Correction Bureau is another Law Enforcement Agency in Kivotos. Are they under Valkyrie or they're seperate? Well we'll see I guess.

His own and only weapon is the adult card. I like to think that when using it, it grants the power of our students temporarily (hence the student picking part). Well i'd like to see my idea get visualized. And if no one does it, i'm gonna do it myself

One thing i noticed about translating is to never hesitate to change sentences into those you see fit.
such as Mika scene

You translated it to
"You there..."
"Get away from my beloved princess!"
I'm not sure how else could i translate the first sentence but i can probably see myself translating the second sentence to "What do you think you're doing to my precious student?!!!!" (First option)
I will use this as a reference in the future as i continue to learn 日本語
Yeah they love to break up sentences like that (also happened in the iconic Hifumi speech), but usually it doesn't make much sense in English.

So given that Sensei lets the girls fight tough enemies, despite being able to oneshot them himself with the grownup card, we can probably assume it has a cost. Beatrice (I think) mentioned that obtaining the card cost Sensei his life and time. Putting 2 and 2 together, I guess we can assume sensei has a severe cost every time he uses his powers. Now, with all that, in the prologue of the game (that was replayed at the end of vol 3), we see a grown up Shiroko shooting bullets through Arona's tablet, which we know have something to do with our powers too. Given the way the game has been written I do believe there's a higher chance Shiroko will be on our side than not.
So, in conclusion, Arona is the devil and end boss.
