A hydrating sheet mask is a must for me on any long haul + class. Current fave is the Torriden Dive In one!
I’m not sure if you’ve tried the Ever Eden spf mineral sunscreen but it’s an absolute must have for me! As someone who spends a lot of time in the sun all summer, I’ve tried my fair share of face sunscreens and most of them break me out, but ever Eden has been amazing for me with no breakouts and leaves me glowing! Plus it has sunflower seed oil!

My airplane beauty must-haves are: Rhode lip balm, a mini Charlotte Tilbury setting spray (I have oily skin so this is all I need), Lumify eyedrops, Caudalie hand lotion & a Korean sunscreen stick. I also bring a mini Charlotte Tilbury compact powder, Elf wow brow, and whatever mini lipstick & mascara i have samples of, so i don’t look like crazy person when I disembark. Oh I love the little plastic Muji eyelash curler ❤❤❤

I was so excited to see the COSRX minis! I love those products in my at-home routine but they’re full size so I have yet to bring them travelling.
The last time I had a long flight, I had a pretty minimalist in-flight routine (compared to my usual skincare routine): Drunk elephant micellar water, La Roche Posay thermal water, Tower 28 SOS spray (as needed), Skinfix triple lipid peptide cream, Clinique moisture surge hydro plump lip treatment, and the tatcha sunscreen. 😊

I am total like u i put on a lot of products before I leave and back in the day Clarins had see through bags and all my products go in there. I also have a lot of small containers to put products in. I love Clinique hand cream slightly heavy but soaks right in. Love it 😊

I usually carry sample packs for cleansing oil and foamy face wash. I would wash off my makeup up with them and apply moisturizer right before boarding. I also use caudalie spray to keep my face hydrated inside the plane. That’s how I survive my 14 hours long haul flight 😊
Ooh which Caudalie spray, the Grape Water or Beauty Elixir? I love both! 💚 (I'd probably pick the Grape Water because it's so refreshing, doesn't have a strong scent for other passengers, and is in lighter packaging) x
@@matildaonvideo I use elixir spray. I know it’s a bit scented and need to worry about other passengers but I usually spray lightly on my face. I also like the other one but choose not to carry in flight because of aerosol can.
Muji!!!!! So far my favourite containers. Easy to clean and always looks clean and chic. I buy minis and keep the containers for travelling too... it's an excuse really... who can resist the small cute bottles... see you next time Matilda ❤
I recommend the COSRX Propolis Toner. Such a nourishing toner perfect for starting my skincare routine after cleansing. Another HG of mine that can be found on YesStyle and is actually a J-Beauty product is any of the Hada Labo lotions (lotions in Japan are toners). Lastly, my current moisturiser discovery has been Aestura Atobarrier 365 Cream

Watching this with in-flight wifi and feeling very ill prepared 😅 will have to get my hands on some Muji containers for my next trip. I’m obsessed with the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen - moisturizing but still keeps my ultra oily skin at bay somehow.

My long travel essentials are ginger candy, Dramamine, Emergen-C vitamins, lip balm, hand sanitizer, hand cream, and allergy medicine. I easily get nauseous, my allergies act up, and I’m dry all over. 😭 I try to look well put together if I travel, but nah. I’m a dang mess. I’d do anything to have a travel essential like yours.

Inflight skincare is such a game changer for travel comfort. I used to pack everything in check in because I would sleep through the flight. On recent trips I found my fresh lotus overnight mask helped prevent me from feeling dry and a face mist helps me wake up and feel fresh. You definitely dont need a lot on flight and a little goes a long way. Id say a safe starter is mask/ moisturizer, mist/ toner, lip balm, and toothpaste.

As someone who is a bit of a germaphobe (I don't like opening my products on planes), any advice for hydrating face products that don't need reapplying? Otherwise I'm considering just reapplying sunscreen every few hours.
I'd probably just go through this exact routine Jenna! I'd skip the face mask and reapplication and just follow these steps before I got on board - cleanse, mist, essence, serum, face oil, moisturiser, SPF, lip balm. That's what I do anyway before boarding, and I'd just apply an even thicker layer of Glossier After Baume than usual to keep me going 👍 I'd probably swap to Ultra Violette's Preen Screen SPF Mist to reapply too (it can't be as thorough as when you're applying a cream sunscreen, but given I mostly keep my window shade down/sit on the middle aisle these days, I'd be satisfied with that) x

I never thought to have a skin care routine on a flight lol and I only recently learned flying closer to the sun leads you more susceptible to sun damage. Though my skin is normal to dry I've never noticed my skin feeling any different after flying (then again I also don't take many long flights but still).
@@AnythingBtOrdinary91 If it's a short flight (anything less than 4-5 hours), I'd only apply moisturiser and sunscreen like I do every morning! ☀I just follow a more detailed hydrating routine on long flights (6+ hours) as my skin would suffer due to the dry recycled air on board. 24+ hours of flying from Australia to the northern hemisphere is *brutal* . Sunscreen is definitely important too so I include SPF in my routine and aim for a balance of both aspects, but if I know it's a night flight for example, hydration would be my focus x

I wash I had seen this before my recent 8 hour flight. I know it’s not super long (I lived in AU for a few years so I know how brutal super long flights are) but it was long enough to completely dehydrate me and cause painful chapping from the tip of my nose to my lower lip. So I prepared better for the flight home and it went t much better thankfully. The Laniage lip sleeping mask is now forever in a mini in my carry on!

Ah finally UV sunscreen is at Sephora Canada! I know the standard popular one is the facial one with the yellow lid. What about the "Lean Mineral Mattifying SPF 50+ Fragrance Free Screen" with purple lid - is that one any good? :)
Yellow lid is my favourite. It feels moisturising without making my skin feel greasy. The purple lid is thicker in my opinion. Purple is great for the beach or no makeup days but I prefer yellow for day to day and under makeup. It is different for everyone though.
So exciting Sarah! The great thing about Ultra Violette is that they have different formulas for different skin types and preferences. Lean Screen (purple lid) is a zinc-only mineral SPF so it's meant to work well for sensitive / oily / reactive skin types. I love lightweight hydrating formulas like Supreme Screen (yellow lid) or Queen Screen (glass bottle, orange lid) and know chemical SPFs work well for my skin, so I haven't used Lean before. Hopefully you can try samples in store! 💙 x

I don’t wear makeup on the plane. I too use skin care through out my flights. Sunscreen is a must. The only time I use face wipes is in flight. But I like the micellar water Idea. Will be doing that next time! Those “baby” tooth brushes are the best I keep them in my desk at work!

I need to try those mini toothbrushes! I'm not fond of using tooth tabs at all, but it's easier to bring 1-2 tabs on board than a proper tube (not sue if there's a risk to decanting them either).
Ooh I've never even heard of tooth tabs! What are they? 🤔 I wanted to avoid having to add water, spit anything out etc, so the wisps were a good alternative. Maybe next time I'd bring a mini toothbrush and mini toothpaste and just use a tiny bit so I don't need a sink x
Just re-upped my caudalie grape water mist for summer travels. The heat here in the southern United States takes my dry skin through the wringer 🤦🏾♀️

Hey, Thank you so much ❤ I just wanted to tell you that for Nu face you only have to use microcurrent products, I have searched a bit and they say that of course with a gel it works because it glides but it is effective when you use microcurrent gels... Please let me know what you think? Xx
Hi Nazanin! To be honest, I've only ever used my NuFace with this COSRX Essence so I can't compare. I chose not to use the NuFace formula at first because I didn't want to introduce a new product to my clear skin and risk a reaction, then I ended up seeing results with COSRX anyway! After 6+ weeks of using it 4-5 times per week, there's a real difference in my cheekbones and jawline 💙 But I can't comment on the specifics of different conducting gels x

My only thing is that I had those mini Colgate things packed in my carry-on for a flight and they got confiscated because of the sharp end :( otherwise I’m all about hydrating before, during, and after a long flight - and startling myself when I leave under eye patches on the entire time and disembark with them on 😅
Thank you so much for the sunscreen recommendation! I have never purchased an item on the Sephora app so quick. North American chemical filters sting my eyes and I was willing to spend $$$$ to ship Ultra Violette to Canada for a quality sunscreen.

I have the same deodorant in my travel bag, love the scent but I tried the Caudalie one, smells even better iIMO. Unfortunately there’s only one size and it’s big! My bag would also contain eye drops, I can survive with my combo skin feeling dry but I can’t bear having dry and irritated eyes.
Ooh thank you for the Caudalie tip, I'll have to check it out! I use Nécessaire's deodorant at home (not a noticeable eucalyptus scent but so effective) but it's in a heavy glass bottle so I swap to the mini Malin+Goetz for travel days 💚 x
I love minis Matilda! They are so cute. I mostly decant my products because I like my tried and true rather than little random samples one gets at Sephora. I have very dry skin also. I prep it before leaving and moisturize the heck out of it after I land and get to my hotel but not in flight. Except my hands. They are always drier pre- trip because of all the handwashing and prep and packing for me and my family pre trip. I keep lotion in my purse and also lip balm (chapstick with the blue label is my fav for my hands) specifically for my hands. It goes on my knuckles and cuticles and all over really. Greasy but that’s ok. It works! So I love the tiny little clear bottles that you have the laneige essence in. Can you tell us where they are from? My problem is not being able to completely minimize my makeup. It’s not horrible but I need options! Specifically blush and lip options. It’s a problem 😂

Speaking of finding it more difficult to minimise makeup... I'm about to have to minimise my own routine in a BIG way for an upcoming carry-on-only trip that includes a destination wedding 😅✈️ I'll definitely be documenting that process here! x

@@matildaonvideo My most repurchased items are the cleansing balms from Joseon and Madeca. They are excellent and such a good value, plus the packaging has a hinged lid which makes it easier to open and close. BTW, I live on the east coast of USA and have been to Oz 13 times! My daughter and family live in Perth so I know all about uber long haul flights. Cheers!
i’d love to hear anyone else’s experience with glossier after baume… normally have combo acne prone skin but the winter wind makes my skin peel after 5 minutes outside and i want to find a worth it moisturizer for the season. does this work well for acne prone girlies???
It works a treat in Australian winter so I can only imagine how helpful it would be in colder climates Grace! 💙 Hopefully you can find some After Baume reviews online from people with acne-prone / combination skin. It might be worth checking Sephora as I think people have to enter details about their skin type alongside reviews there x
(Update: I just had a quick look at the Sephora reviews and saw a few combination/oily skin reactions to it, but I'll let you have a proper read! Lots of different experiences to consider over there so hopefully it helps) x

I'm about to find out when I head back to the UK soon Hols! 😅 I used to use a completely clear Muji zip pouch (which went through both of those airports countless times when I lived there!) but it split and I couldn't find a replacement years later. We'll see! I do also keep a large snaplock bag with me in case I need to empty everything into that x

Yes, Lanolips Golden Dry Skin Salve was doing the heavy lifting for my lips Em! 😄 I wish it had an actual lip applicator, but the tube opening still does the trick to spread it around without having to use my fingers x

Absolutely Natalia! A last resort as I try not to have any other single use products in my routine that can't be recycled/composted ♻️ Already thinking about taking a mini toothbrush and mini toothpaste next time and just using a tiny amount of toothpaste so I don't need a sink etc x
