Something I've noticed that is severely lacking in premade coffees at the store is decaf versions. I don't understand why decaf pre-made ice coffee just doesn't seem to be a thing. *screams internally because I can't drink normal coffee*
Even decaf coffee has some caffeine in it. They beans go through a chemically treated process to remove the caffeine, but it cannot get rid of all of it. Because cold brew coffees are steeped for very long periods of time there is more of the oils and compounds leached out from the beans, which leads to the stronger flavor and caffeine levels. Thus in decaf beans, that should lead to leeching the remaining caffeine and any traces of the chemicals used to treat it. I would assume that either the flavor is terrible, because of the chemical treatment of the beans, or it is still too caffeinated to call it "decaf".
As a fellow decaf drinker here is my advice, make cold brew concentrate using decaf ground coffee. My recipe, 80g ground decaf coffee, 3 cups water. Mix. Leave in the fridge overnight or all day. Then filter it out using a coffee filter in a sieve with a jug underneath and store in the fridge for about a week max. However I have no idea how much caffeine will be in it FYI so dont trust meeeee

Although Stok does not have added sugar or creamer, the ingredients do say "natural flavors". They may have added flavorings to change the coffee profile, so it's strictly not "pure coffee".

funnily enough the top 3 is also the ones i regularly pick up at the store! if i had to rate them id probably go la colombe (they also have a "bold" flavor that comes in a blue bottle) > stok (they also have an "extra bold" that comes in a purple container) > califia usually the stok and la colombe sell out fast at my local grocery store so i try to hoard them while i can, but honestly califia is my "if they dont have my top 2 ill get it anyway but i will be disappointed" pick...
I found your channel when I'm searching for latte art. Since then I can't stop watching your videos. And I love your voice and I think I need to setup my personal coffee bar in my house.
Blue bottle is the best canned coffee I’ve ever had and Ive tried almost all of these! I’d give them another try with cream and sugar. (I’m from Portland so I was excited to see this lol) I do love La Colombe too, but I love the “bright” blue bottle with some oat milk and sugar! So rich and smooth. I have had the blue bottle black, and they def need cream and sugar because they are punchy.
I honestly feel like you should’ve done the cream test on all of the bottles. Atleast on the ones that didn’t taste underdeveloped. Could’ve been two categories: one for black and one for cream.
I'm excited to try a few of these now! Locally, Chobani just ran a promo to get a free carton of their new iced coffee, and it was awesome! The grocery store I work at carries La Colombe and Califia Farms, and Stōk too, I think, so I'll have to give them a go!
as a barista myself, califia farms cold brew is the coffee i always come back to. the medium roast & the blonde roast are the only coffees i prefer to drink black & i love that
Having a snack, taking a nap, and having a good rest of my day would be absolutely heavenly. It will never happen, though. In any case, I too enjoy the La Colombe cold brew from my supermarket. It's reasonably priced, and is a nice bright coffee.
While I can see it may e taking too long to do on-screen. It would've been cool for you to do an off-screen cream test of the loser's bracket as well. That way you could report if any of them seemed to shine when cream was introduced for anyone who may prefer that, just as sort of an honorary mention.
Love Chameleon Cold Brew concentrate! I like it so much I got an Oxo Cold Brew coffee maker coupled with freshly ground specialty coffee beans from local roasters.... love iced coffee season!
Such a great video Morgan. I was so surprised (and pleased) that you chose my three favorite cold brews. I also love LaColombe's oat milk lattes in the can. It's amazing that a canned latte can taste so good.
My faves in this haul are bizzy and chameleon. Least favorite are califia and dunkin. Want to try groundwork. Used to be diehard stok. Love the aftertaste of it.
I didn't hear mention that you really are reviewing two different types of coffee. One is iced coffee and the other is cold brewed coffee. Iced coffee being hot coffee cold and cold brew coffee being coffee brewed just in cold water over a longer period of time. Which should get you a much different flavor profile
Stōk is the literally in the cold brew machine available at my grocery store's gas station for less than $2 and it is *CRIMINAL* how few people realize how good it is, so seeing you appreciate it made me very happy. Also they make a giant bottled version of it with a whey powder protein blend in it that is SUPER helpful for this calorie destroying spastic-diplegic individual. 😂

I am following you on youtube channel & insta page regularly.
You are the biggest inspiration for me ! I know your Favourite drink is mocha .☕
Whenever you wil be in india please visit our cafe .
Love you Morgan.
I'm so glad Stok made the top three! It's one of my favorites, and the Lightly Sweetened variety over ice is a dream! Great video!
Although Stok does not have added sugar or creamer, the ingredients do say "natural flavors". They may have added flavorings to change the coffee profile, so it's strictly not "pure coffee".
As someone in the Boston area, I don't think I've ever met someone who has never been to Dunkin's. Hell, I was at Dunkin's twice today
Ha, that’s awesome! While there are some on the west coast, there aren’t any anywhere near me unfortunately!
I’m from Boston as well. And since dunkins is every five feet here I assumed it was like that every where!
@@morgandrinkscoffee My 15 minute drive from work-daycare-home, I drive by 3. It's super inconsistent but I drink it anyway on the days I need drive-through
I’m in Maine and we go there all the time
@@jillgerace7637 yeah and it's literally every 5 feet. You can say meet me by the dunkies across from the dunkies next to the gas station with a dunkies in it and that's still like 300 locations nearby.
La Colombe is EASSILLYY my favorite too out of all the coldbrews I've tried & I was so happy you picked it!!
Morgan always makes my day :)
The purple bold stōk with tiny bit of unsweetened vanilla coconut milk is my jam. I love coffee but it’s acidity gives me horrible reflex. It’s the only cold brew that doesn’t give me dragon breath. Glad you like it!
Your voice cadence and tone reminds me so much of Kieran Shipka.
as an avid consumer of grocery store iced coffee i'm so happy you liked the la colombe stok and sbux medium bc those are my favs!
I make my own cold brew using the Starbucks Blonde roast and it’s SO good. Expensive though… considering how much I get through every week. Stok I found tasted inconsistent and watery sometimes but when I got a good bottle it was amazing. This video was super helpful, thank you!
0:22 OMG THAT'S WHY YOU'RE FAMILIAR!! THE TINY TIKTOK LATTES
funnily enough the top 3 is also the ones i regularly pick up at the store! if i had to rate them id probably go la colombe (they also have a "bold" flavor that comes in a blue bottle) > stok (they also have an "extra bold" that comes in a purple container) > califia
usually the stok and la colombe sell out fast at my local grocery store so i try to hoard them while i can, but honestly califia is my "if they dont have my top 2 ill get it anyway but i will be disappointed" pick...
WAS THAT A CUSTOM MECHANICAL KEYBOARD I JUST SAW- THATS AMAZING
It was! It’s a KBD75 :)
@@morgandrinkscoffee woaahhhh :D what switches?
I found your channel when I'm searching for latte art. Since then I can't stop watching your videos. And I love your voice and I think I need to setup my personal coffee bar in my house.
I found Trader Joe's cold brew coffee and their concentrate cold brew to be pretty good. Little goes a long way on the concentrated cold brew.
As a stōk fan I’m glad it made it to your finals I’ll have to keep an eye out for la Colomb
Califa is soo good too stok and califa are my fav. La Colombe in the can is good but it has milk etc..
Omg the amount of money spent on this!! You have all my respect and appreciation
I could easily see you in a few years being where James Hoffman is today. Great video!
Blue La Colombe is my fav, but, when I can afford it, I treat myself to the vanilla chameleon cold brew
The grocery store I work at carries La Colombe and Califia Farms, and Stōk too, I think, so I'll have to give them a go!
just the way she speaks i feel like she could teach me anything and id immediately understand
I am going through your whole vid library and learning so much from you. Thank you!!
10:37 me, seeing adult life.
Amazing video 🤣 I wonder how much sleep did you get after shooting this
Absolutely none 😭
as a barista myself, califia farms cold brew is the coffee i always come back to. the medium roast & the blonde roast are the only coffees i prefer to drink black & i love that
Starbucks Blond with half and half. My favorite..
I drink La Colombe medium cold brew almost exclusively
Ahh love the video already!! 🎷🎷
Bean crew, let’s go! 🎷
Love Chameleon Cold Brew concentrate! I like it so much I got an Oxo Cold Brew coffee maker coupled with freshly ground specialty coffee beans from local roasters.... love iced coffee season!

So I'm not the only one thinking that. Her setup looked very nice.
Such a great video Morgan. I was so surprised (and pleased) that you chose my three favorite cold brews. I also love LaColombe's oat milk lattes in the can. It's amazing that a canned latte can taste so good.
Yay coffeeeee ☕️
My faves in this haul are bizzy and chameleon. Least favorite are califia and dunkin. Want to try groundwork. Used to be diehard stok. Love the aftertaste of it.
If she doesn’t really know what bold meant did that coffee than that makes me feel better haha! 😂
I enjoy Stok myself, especially their mocha iced coffee. And honestly walmart has a International delights iced coffee line and I like those as well.
Sorry, I don’t think you can compare iced coffee’s to cold brew’s in a taste test.
The bizzy and Chameleon ones are the best ! Not too strong not to weak but perfect
Her partner looks _exactly_ how I’d imagine the boyfriend of a barista from Portland’s boyfriend would look.
She's from Portland Oregon. It make sense. My home town!!!! Stump town lol 😆 got it.
stok is my morning jam. So glad you liked it
I didn't hear mention that you really are reviewing two different types of coffee. One is iced coffee and the other is cold brewed coffee. Iced coffee being hot coffee cold and cold brew coffee being coffee brewed just in cold water over a longer period of time. Which should get you a much different flavor profile
I was about to comment the same thing. 2 absolutely different types of coffees.
I agree with one you selected...just started drinking that..havent tried blissy yet
I was vegan for a year, drinking the Dunkin iced coffee, before I realized there was milk in it.
